Perhaps this was already known, but it was a new detail to me.
The U.S. Secret Service gave congressional investigators a briefing on the Trump assassination attempt by Ryan Routh at Trump National in Florida. According to Florida Representative Mike Waltz, who is a member of the committee investigating, apparently the U.S. Secret Service agent walked up on Routh from the fence line and saw the barrel of the SKS rifle. The proactive shots fired by the agent were from within 10 feet of Ryan Routh.

Mike Waltz repeats how the FBI are keeping all of the pertinent details surrounding the assassination attempt concealed from the investigating committee under the auspices of an ongoing investigation. Waltz is calling for transparency in both the Pennsylvania attempt and the Florida attempt; however, despite the USSS providing information, anything from the FBI is not being shared.
The detail of a single USSS agent, accidentally discovering Ryan Routh on the fence line further emphasizes just how fortunate we are that this assassination attempt was foiled. It appears the agent just coincidentally walked up on Routh’s position during a standard security sweep, and immediately fired shots after seeing the barrel of the gun. Yikes!
The presence of God’s intervention is in these types of details.
I would understand if they let him go, as long as they put a tag on him- followed his every move so we know who his handlers and contacts are. Then swat them all!

Find the source of his funding (cash from Blinken State Dept) and the CIA cutouts come into focus. He will eventually end up in a sand dune somewhere, but he needs to be interrogated severely by the right side before it happens.
Accidentally after 12 hours?
1. If the backpack was ON the fence when Routh was detected and shot at, the tiles may have protected him… from the front.
2. But when he ran away, instantly, he likely (I don’t know) had no backpack/tiles) to protect his back as he turned to escape. Did SS shoot him as he ran away?
3. Even if wearing the backpack/tiles to protect his back… his HEAD was not protected. The Butler shooter was shot … in the head. WHY didn’t SS just shoot Routh in the head too? At 10 ft, Routh was a pretty easy target for SS.
4. And, Routh was clearly a dangerous person. SS also didn’t know if he had a handgun on him too which would create a more danger to innocent civilians… in that fairly public area. Routh might take one as a hostage OR panic and kill one or more civilians. Quite a risk for SS to take to … arguably let him go free.
5. If not for the “Samaritan” then Rough may well have escaped… into a populated area.
6. Rough didn’t seem to have ANY well thought-out …. escape plan for himself which I find odd. I-95 as an escape route seems pretty dumb. . . Even more dumb b/c
7. The Samaritan … ran toward his car to take pictures of his license plate. Did he not see her do that? If he did he should know… not to hop on I-95. Much smarter to try to find a remote or secluded place to lay-low and hide …
… or have another VEHICLE close by so he could switch cars? We saw he had another white car (at his house) w/KH stickers on it… so he could have had that vehicle in a closeby location to switch cars… just in case someone – like the Samaritan- did see his vehicle.
8. Supposedly Routh was staking out the golf course for 12+/- hours, starting at 2AM. He certainly had time to figure out an escape. Google the area on his phone? Odd no one saw Routh hanging out there for so many hours… until the Samaritan saw him.
Actually, Routh’s home is in HI so the vehicle he used in FL was likely a rental car.
Still, rent 2 cars… and place one in a closeby area so he could switch vehicles if the black rental was detected and connected to him.
A rental car (black abandoned one) would not protect his identity though… at least not for long… but a 2nd rental would at least give him the chance to escape and hide for days, weeks, months… or possibly escape the country over our open southern border?
Why give dumb-dumbs more info to make the ‘next time’ more possible? Not good.
Was Routh even there when the agent fired or was he shooting a ghost? If Routh was there how could he possibly have escaped when he was only 10 feet away? Did the USSS want him to escape (inside job)? Nothing about this adds up. That darn women who followed Routh and reported his license tag may have spoiled everything for the USSS.
Seriously! Best case scenario is that the SS is even more inept than we imagined after the first failed attempt. And I seriously doubt that is what happened. It is astronomically unlikely.

If the agent saw Routh and Routh saw the agent at 1 feet, the agent had to draw and fire at a running, retreating target through a chain link fence and brush. Agents/Security/police usually qualify at 7 yards (21 feet) which is the size of a big living room. That is where most of their shootouts take place if you think about it. They don’t shoot on a 100 yd rifle range. So, since most of them work behind a desk, they are not the great shots as portrayed on TV shows.
And he didn’t pursue him because again, they were on different sides of a fence, anad with plenty of brush between them.
SS Agents must demonstrate proficiency with the weapon they carry, at 10’ that should have been a perfect head shot to eliminate that threat. It did not unfold that way did it?

I went back and looked at the initial reporting and also the press conference. The local sheriff said “300-400 yards.” He was very specific.
Who was his “source” for that very specific information? Did the sheriff just make that number up (unlikely) or did a specific member of the federal “clean up crew” give that information to him (very likely)?
The source of that information needs to be publicly identified BY NAME by the sheriff so that he can be questioned. As always, the after action “investigation” by the feds stinks to high heaven. We need sunlight to disinfect.
I always thought that was a sketchy story. Being able to spot part of a barrel of a rifle sticking through a fence surrounded by foliage at three to four hundred yards was pretty amazing.
Also, unless the agent had a rifle themselves firing at something 300 -400 yards away with a pistol is ridiculous unless you did it to get the attention of the agents surrounding the President. But isn’t that what radios are for?

Back in the early 1990s I was in Washington DC. One evening when it was dark I walked up to the back fence of the White House, where it abuts the national mall. There are trees and shrubs growing all along it.
I was just looking at the White House, curious to see the building itself. Lights were on upstairs and I wondered if I might see President Bush or Barbara.
Suddenly I was startled by a Secret Service agent inside the fence. He popped up in the darkness and gruffly told me to move along.
I did.
I brought some friends from Europe to the White House. As we were standing by the front fence area, a women a few feet from us started screaming. When we looked, a huge rat jumped out of the bushes. Ha, now my friend were going back to Europe telling everyone they saw a rat at the White House.
Another time when I was in DC in 1993, President Clinton was lobbying members of Congress to pass NAFTA. I was on the sidewalk in front of the White House, at that time the stretch of Pennsylvania Avenue was still open to traffic. The uniformed Secret Service agent in the booth by the gate asked me to step aside. When I looked behind me, there in a Buick was Speaker Tom Foley, on his way to meet with the President. I was pleased to have impeded the powerful Democrat for a few seconds.
The other interesting thing I saw that night was members of the UAW union protesting outside against NAFTA. There were only 5 guys there, all older men in their fifties. A TV news reporter came up to get an interview, and they all squeezed together in a tight shot so the viewers got the impression there was a bigger turnout. The leader of the group told the one black guy to get in front, “there’s too many honkies up there.” Hilarious.
Where is Routh being housed? Does he have legal? Who knows what the FBI is doing to him with drugs/psychologically? When is his arraignment? Is he being coached/threatened?
He is in the presidential suite in the fanciest local hotel with his China Doll being waited on hand and foot.

The sad fact is that we should not need Congressional hearings or “whistleblowers” to deliver facts about extreme violent acts that affect us all. But that’s where this corrupt regime has taken us. In an honest or “transparent”

How did SS miss?
Everyone is giving the Secret Service a hard time, saying they failed yet again, but in point of fact, they succeeded. They were securing the perimeter well ahead of the president’s party when they discovered the gunman long before he had a line of sight to the President. That’s exactly how it’s supposed to happen.
I suppose given the heightened threat and security posture, they will start patrolling that fence line a lot more often when the president is in town. However, it is a public road. I suppose they could do like they did in front of the White House, and shut it down whenever the president is playing golf. I don’t know how disruptive that will be to the local community traffic, though.

I wonder if she hit the chain-link fence. I had that happen once while deer hunting, the feeder was inside a pen made of hog wire. I shot a deer at the feeder, with a scope, from a distance of about 30 yards. I couldn’t believe I missed him, but when we looked closer, we saw that the bullet had struck one of the wires.
That actually happened to me twice. After that, I started shooting the deer before they jumped into the pen.
I wonder if his cell phones are encrypted so the FIB can’t access his text messages? We’ll never know unless DeSantis’ investigation outdoes theirs.

The USSS has been compromised either by incompetence, ineptitude or infiltration and more likely all of the aforementioned. Now, please correct me if I’m wrong , but when the situation arises isn’t the primary duty of the USSS to neutralize and eliminate, if necessary by the use of deadly force, any immediate threat to the life of the individual being protected? If so, then the USSS has now failed their critical mission twice. In addition, detailed information regarding the specifics of both instances have not been forthcoming and buried under the cloak of the bureaucratic “currently being investigated” classification. The bottom line is that these are not two random instances, but a continuation of the successful 2020 deep state (Democrats/RINOs/uni-party/globalists and the such) coup against DJT as the legally elected POTUS that prevented him from assuming office. Note, when all current countermeasures fail, this is the action that a desperate totalitarian regime falls back on to remain in power. Hopefully DJT takes the appropriate action to reinforce his security bubble with skilled, competent, loyal and dedicated personnel.

Let’s say the bad guy seen the agent approaching and had fled his position before the agent had seen the abandoned gun barrel. Because of the bushes blocking the view, the agent shot into the vacated bushes without first identifying a target. If this is what happened, then the agent did right.
As a hunter, the idea of shooting into a bush without seeing what I was shooting at in order to give a clean ethical kill, turns my stomach and then not knowing what was on the other side of the bushes goes against everything I have held to be true.
I will not use a hunter’s code of ethics as a measuring stick for what this agent did.

Do you know what distance the agent had to sprint, run, or jog to get within 10’ of the ‘target’?
Was the agent shooting and running at the same time?
Was the agent shooting with one hand on their weapon or with two?
Was the target running away in a straight line and standing up, or was the target hunched over, zig-zagging and moving to and from cover?
Did the agent have clear, unobstructed line-of-sight to the target, or were they shooting through vegetation and a fence?
Were there ‘innocents’ near the target that the agent may have been concerned with hitting?
None of what you brought up matters, even if one or all of your questions were logically plausible, which they are not.
As a retired California cop (39 years), I can assure you that everything you mentioned is covered and addressed by tactical training. None of the situations, circumstances, or conditions on your list are valid excuses for missing.
The use of firearms in police work is nothing like the sterile environment of renting a handgun at the range.

What am I missing? The guy was in a bush with only the barrel showing and we don’t even know how much of the barrel was showing. The agent was shooting at bushes not a person. There were no particulars about what the agent aimed his gun at or how many shots were fired.
I agree if the agent was spraying the area with bullets where he assumed a body would be, the shooter was incredibly lucky not to have been shot.
The video shared no particulars about what EXACTLY happened so I’m assuming many of you have information from other sources that show the shooter shouldn’t have gotten away unscathed. If so share.

I am going to guess. Yes, more fantasy. Routh is a fish. Perhaps President Trump knew exactly who to tell where he would be at a certain time to bait the hook. Maybe Routh was followed there by the witness. Perhaps while he was there, his car and rooms were searched. Perhaps the agent on the other side of the fence wanted to scare him off, so he could be reeled in later.
A fish can be used to catch a bigger fish, then a bigger fish, and so on. Interesting who popped up on TV so soon after Routh was in cuffs: She whose name must not be said! It can be implied that Routh is a common denominator among a long list of names involved in deeds going back many years. This “cabal” appears to have been operating within the highest levels of the government, to create chaos and gain enrichment from it. Now it is exposed. Expect a certain Senator to check himself into detox soon.
It looks to me like there are at least two witnesses to Routh committing a crime on President Trump’s property. Legally, the President has all the cards. Since he knows more about the law than most lawyers, I am sure he will leverage this effectively. He may have turned the tables on the bad guys.

Given her irrational ranting on TV about Trump lately, “she who must not be named” has certainly moved up on my suspect list. Routh’s shady somewhat spooky background certainly puts him in the same class as the author of the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax who lived across “the pond” from her. Her previous positions would have placed her in a position to know about and make contact with the shadowy world of communist infiltrated and rouge elements of the Intelligence community.
I seriously doubt the shots were fired from 10 feet, more likely 10 to 20 yards. Remember we are probably getting only bits and pieces of what really happen.
