Every time I gently send the warning signal about Donald Trump Jr, I get blasted with hate mail that essentially says Trump Jr must not be criticized because he is the heir apparent to the MAGA empire – or something similar. The anger generally comes from the grifting enterprises who make money from Donald Trump’s political gravity.
To those voices, let me be as clear as I can be. If you want me to hide the reality of how insanely naive Donald Trump Jr is about politics, then write him letters telling him to shut up, and don’t waste your typeset energy on me. As long as Donald Trump Jr continues doing and saying stupid stuff because he believes he is politically smart (insert Fredo comparison here), I am going to continue sending warning flares about his naiveté.
I have been gentle and considerate of the ego and familial relationships.
I have avoided direct criticism around his gullibility taking Natalia Vladimirovna Veselnitskaya into Trump Tower in 2016 as part of the Fusion GPS operation to frame the Trump-Russia narrative. I have avoided open criticism of his gullibility with Peter Thiel, Palantir Technologies (who, by the way, just had their CEO endorse Kamala Harris) and the JD Vance promotion.
I was kind and diplomatic in my attempts to point out that Donald “Fredo” Trump Jr, might just not possess the correct assembly of brain matter needed to see through counterintelligence operations. I support Donald Trump because there is no alternative – no other viable option. It’s the same reason I supported him in 2015 and every moment from then through now. I have never regretted my support of Donald Trump, ever, not for a moment.
However, that said, I do not support anything that undermines the likelihood of success.

As a septuagenarian, I tend to look at younger folks with a critical eye I did not possess 20 years ago.
Junior talks too much, talks too fast, and appears to gloss over or skate right by important details. The Guilfoyle relationship appears risky but I don’t know either of them well enough to make any judgments about their feelings towards one another.
And just as your investment counselor advises you, so I use this rule for my own calculations – “Past performance is no guarantee of future results.”

I am not sure that because one may not be spook material that he lacks intelligence. NOT everyone is a spook or has good instincts concerning what is going on in the background. Matter of fact, regardless of how “pure” we think we are right here on this site, very damn few are good spook material, detective types, or investigators or even very good at reading people while standing in a line. So indicating Don Jr to be unintelligent is a little to far. He has been a successful businessman. He is not a slug or failure.
Now, I do not think he is politically astute or electable. I don’t like his “aggressive” personality when he is performing. I do not see him as being in a position to be a player without his dad in the political field. I sense Don Jr is being an opportunist and has caught the “draft” of his dad’s leadership. But that is not going to sling him into the fray.
I don’t think we need to throw people away because they voice stupid ideas. I believe it is stupid to entertain rfkjr as a friend or ally. He is a snake. But Don Jr is not the only one harping on this. I think people are careless with their thinking.
As for Don Jr and JD: I don’t believe JD is a snake. I do not think he is untrustworthy or uninformed. He is proving to be worthy of more positive remarks. As for Jr pushing JD on Trump…I don’t think so. Trump loves his children. Trump did not get where he is by being prompted by his children. Trump did his own research on JD. So far the choice is good. Jr may have offered his views but Trump did not make a decision because of what Jr said.

Trump Jr has really bad judgement. My assessment of his character came when he told the SS agents guarding his kids to get lost, his kids did not need them and they did not like them. His wife Vanessa I am sure was appalled. Then, he took is youngest son who at the time was probably 3 years old, put him on some skis and sent him down a ski slope for adults or something. The kid broke his leg. His wife Vanessa divorced him. White powder sent to her home where the 5 children lived. Junior is seen with Kimberly rather quickly after divorce. He has really bad judgement and not just in politics.
And I heard him say in an interview, I think with Hannity, that his father was wavering on Vance and he, Junior, talked him back into it. So far, I feel Vance is doing a good job campaigning, beyond that I do not know.
