Every time I gently send the warning signal about Donald Trump Jr, I get blasted with hate mail that essentially says Trump Jr must not be criticized because he is the heir apparent to the MAGA empire – or something similar. The anger generally comes from the grifting enterprises who make money from Donald Trump’s political gravity.
To those voices, let me be as clear as I can be. If you want me to hide the reality of how insanely naive Donald Trump Jr is about politics, then write him letters telling him to shut up, and don’t waste your typeset energy on me. As long as Donald Trump Jr continues doing and saying stupid stuff because he believes he is politically smart (insert Fredo comparison here), I am going to continue sending warning flares about his naiveté.
I have been gentle and considerate of the ego and familial relationships.
I have avoided direct criticism around his gullibility taking Natalia Vladimirovna Veselnitskaya into Trump Tower in 2016 as part of the Fusion GPS operation to frame the Trump-Russia narrative. I have avoided open criticism of his gullibility with Peter Thiel, Palantir Technologies (who, by the way, just had their CEO endorse Kamala Harris) and the JD Vance promotion.

I support Donald Trump because there is no alternative – no other viable option. It’s the same reason I supported him in 2015 and every moment from then through now. I have never regretted my support of Donald Trump, ever, not for a moment.
However, that said, I do not support anything that undermines the likelihood of success.

There is no way that Robert F Kennedy Jr should have any significant role in the Trump administration outside of Health and Human Services Director or Food and Drug Commissioner…. and even that is a stretch considering that RFK JR might proclaim firearms as a national health crisis and institute regulations.

I’m not, nor have I ever been a fan of dynastic political families. Not the Bush’s. Not the Clinton’s. Not the Obama’s. And I won’t be for the Trump’s. There is no royal bloodline, no inherited right to lead men. We are not a monarchy. We are not an autocracy. Genes don’t determine who the best humans are. It must be earned. Meritocracy. The American way. No matter how much we may like the traits and characteristics in someone their offspring typically fail to meet expectations.

An improvement over Ronna Romney, competent spokesperson, jury still out, how’s the GOTV and ballot security, election counting, legal election integrity team coming together less than two months out from early voting? (Eric – competently running Trump organization, solid, behind the scenes operator. Better than first two siblings, but jury is still out.)
D) Barron…?
Too young and too protected from public view to know. But of dating age headed off to college, and life connections are made in college, many M.R.S. degrees awarded at the finest ones. Remember the drunken train wrecks that Barbara and Jenna Bush were in college? Became progressive social justice warriors speaking out against conservatism and the US before they even graduated. More likely to be found cavorting with violent masked trans antifa types in Chicago than flag-waving normal red-blooded American Patriots in Milwaukee this party convention season. Time will tell about Barron’s future.
Regardless, just say no to dynastic political families, including Trump. No matter how much we like him. The odds are not in our favor.

Almost all of the wealthiest entrepreneurs of the 19th and 20th Centuries raised children who were complete disappointments to them, because they never had to work the way their father’s had in order to achieve success. Almost every Church that I have attended that has split or collapsed has done so because the pastor insisted that his children be put into positions of leadership, most of them barely out of high school and with no theological or practical training.
And to the point of this article, political dynasties are simply recipes for disaster! Most politicians already live inside of a bubble and have very little interaction with the “normal” people who elect them. Their children grow up completely oblivious to the everyday struggles of their friends and classmates. And then, they are somehow considered more qualified to assume the mantle of their parents than someone who has actually had to work to be elected in the first place?!
Javanka, in my opinion, did more damage in President Trump’s first term than almost anyone else, especially during covid. Read Scott Atlas’s excellent book if you want an up close look at how badly Jared Kushner botched the entire task force! Don Jr. Is a close second to his sister for incredibly bad choices regarding personnel decisions. I really believe that the President’s trust and confidence in his children is his Achilles heel, but I have no idea how to get that message through to him. He’s surrounded by so many snakes that he naturally turns to his family for advice, which I understand in a way, but desperately wish he would stop doing!

The only problem I have with the convenient use of Fredo for Don Jr., is that Fredo knowingly and willingly turned traitor towards his family for sake of personal vanity. I don’t think Don Jr. is anything like that.

That’s where Trump went wrong in his first Administration, relying upon the shared knowledge of his daughter & son-in-law, the GOP-e, pseudo-conservative hangers-on (maybe plants) like Jeff Sessions, relying on Christie for ANY advice whatsoever, or Lindsay Graham & McConnell on judges, and WAY too many retired military Generals, just destroyed his Administration. That said, much of it was a forced error, as Trump had no trusted “kitchen cabinet” like Reagan, when he came into office. Plus, he had flat-out, malicious outlaws and 5th columnists seeded inside his government from Obama, G.W. Bush, and even as far back as the Clintons, yet no honest Federal lawmen to hold them to account.
Trump should keep his kids out of his Administration this time around – all of them. The “MAGA” movement is not owned by the Trump’s. It’s owned by the American’s who have sacrificed to give Trump the opportunity he may have over the next four years. Most of the future “MAGA” politicians who will matter for the future, probably aren’t even involved in politics at the moment.
