Much of what you say is true, but I do not believe Tommy Robinson is a fake activist. He has been active for almost 20 years, during which time he has effectively lost everything, he’s been sued multiple times and bankrupted. His wife divorced him, for her own safety.

He is the only journalist in British history to be imprisoned for contempt of court. Also, he has also suffered numerous physical assaults and attempts on his life.

What you are suggesting, a “General strike” has been used effectively many times in the past, and involves significant % of the citisenry to stop PRODUCING.
It does, however require some degree of sacrifice on the part of the participants, refusing to work means no pay, and people have “bills to pay” for housing, transportation, etc.
The more sacrifice you ask people to make, the less participation you get.
Because of modern AI systems running on JustInTime Algorythms being in control of our Supply chains, we have a unique situation, where we can protest by refusing to be active CONSUMERS.
We can continue to go to work, contininue to ‘pay our bills’ (so no sacrifice there) and simply stop, for a period of time, purchasing “consumables”.
The issue with toilet paper and eggs during covid was caused by a relatively small # of consumers greatly increasing their purchases, which the AI system was unable to anticipate and, being focused on micro-adjustments of supply to accomodate micro-changes in demand, broke the system.
If 20-30% of consumers STOPPED buying any “consumables” for 2-3 weeks, the system would fail, as at every point in the supply chain, there would be “excess inventory”.
Think of our supply chain as the conveyor in “Lucy and the candy factory” and you get the idea.
The JustInTime system is set up, to RELY on and depend on accurately accessing the demand, and micro-tailoring the supply to meet that demand. It is good at fine tuning to micro changes, but is totally incapable of responding to sudden, unanticipated changes of either an increase in demand (TP and Eggs during Covid) or a sudden, unexpected DECREASE in demand, as I am suggesting.
Prices would actually DROP, as the sudden glut of inventory would back up on loading docks and warehouses, and goods would be SITTING, not MOVING, which is the anathema of JustInTime.
