The introduction is here [CATCH UP], I am not going to slow down, re-review and/or rewrite anything. We have a limited amount of time, and the focus of these outlines is easy to understand.
In the next few weeks, I am going to write very specifically about who might be best suited for roles and responsibilities. Not from the perspective of the person per se’, but rather from the perspective of a fully understandable context for the position; the reality of what can be pragmatically accomplished, and detailed reasoning for why the challenge they will face exists. Today I focus on “the emissary.”
Without a doubt in my mind, the “emissary” is the most important person President Trump will select.
The Washington DC Intelligence Community (IC) actively work to isolate the office of the president. This is an almost impossible dynamic to avoid, caused by an entrenched and ideological adversary who has dug themselves deep into the apparatus of government.
The “emissary” is the person who carries the word of President Trump to any person identified by President Trump. The emissary is very much like a tape recording of President Trump in human form. The emissary travels to a location, meets a particular person or group, and then recites the opinion of the President. The words spoken by the emissary, are the words of President Trump.
The IC cannot inject themselves into this dynamic; that is why it is so valuable.
The emissary then hears the response from the intended person or group, repeats it back to them to ensure he/she will return with clarity of intent as expressed, and then returns to the office of the presidency and repeats the reply for the President. The emissary recites back exactly what he was /is told.
This process is critical when you understand how thoroughly compromised the full Executive Branch is. More importantly, this process becomes even more critical when you accept the Intelligence Community will lie to the office of the President to retain their position.
Read this next sentence slowly…. If the Senate confirms a director of an IC silo, then that director is demonstrably going to lie to the office of the President.
The Senate only confirms Intelligence Community leadership who are willing to LIE to THE PRESIDENT. This is just a factual reality.
If the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) confirms them, they will lie. That is the main role of the SSCI.
The people who constructed the Silos then metastasized the control rot within them, use the term “continuity of government,” to describe the true role and responsibility of the system. This is not factually wrong.
Where people go wrong is misunderstanding what the “continuity” is that is being maintained. Truly, the continuity of government is the priority. However, it’s the continuity of currently corrupt and immoral government we are now maintaining.
The CIA Director will lie to President Trump (they did, remember). The FBI Leadership will lie to President Trump (they did, remember). The AG will lie, the DNI will lie, the NSA will lie, and all the deputies therein will lie.
Washington DC puts it this way, you probably heard Bill Barr talking about ad-infinitum. The IC leadership is responsible for maintaining the “continuity of government” at all costs. The government is more important than The President.
If the continuity of government is maintained by lying to the office of the President, then so be it. Or, as James Comey said when justifying his lies to the President and his manipulation on March 20th, 2017: “because of the sensitivity of the matter.”
You can get as angry as you want about this, it’s just the DC system that exists. We must deal with what exists, not what we would pretend there to be.
If a candidate for an IC position is not willing to lie to the President, the Senate will not confirm him/her. This is why President Trump needs an emissary.
The role of the emissary is critical, the qualifications for that role are extremely important.
Remember, this person is speaking on behalf of President Trump. And representing the responding voice with a similar level of clarity.
The emissary must be of incredible moral character. They must be honest. The person should be entirely altruistic. They must have exceptional judgement, possess no ego, be impervious to scrutiny or review. They must maintain themselves at the highest moral standards at all times and exhibit incredible judgement and wisdom.
Due to the nature of the position the emissary is extremely powerful; therefore, a disposition of humility is also critical. The President must be able to trust this person without reservation or issue. At the same time, the entire weight of the U.S. Intelligence Community apparatus will seek to compromise the emissary, as they try to put walls around the President who holds silo-busting power.
Honesty, integrity, humility, trustworthiness, unimpeachable character and exceptional judgement, establish the baseline of traits the emissary must possess.
This is a choice that will be deeply important to President Trump. Fortunately, it is not a position that requires any confirmation or external approval. Judgement, discernment, wisdom and silence are the strength characteristics.
From my perspective, I can think of only one qualified candidate, Dr Ben Carson. However, I could be wrong – I do not know the sum total of the people around President Trump.

[Next up, the National Security Advisor. Most of the familiar names are brutally disqualified for this position, based on judgement.]

Genghis Khan used to send out emissaries, sometimes with bodyguards. Quite a few, bodyguards and emissaries, had their heads chopped off when the recipients of the Khan’s words didn’t like what they heard.
And how did Genghis Khan usually react to that?
Dr Ben Carson would be perfect. If, however, he cannot be President Trump’s emissary, I see very bright trustworthy women in his team who could do the job. Sundance could do it but he is too busy keeping us up-to-date. Afterthought, would excellent Trumpian journalists be worthy of consideration?
Women?
Monica Crowley.
She fought the deep state.
She told a story when she was on War Room with Kash hosting.
She had accepted an assignment in the Trump white house can’t remember which. She was called by a bureaucrat and told that there wasn’t enough money in the budget to hire so they asked her if she would accept Ben Rhodes (yes that famous Obama sycophant Ben). She told them no thank you and refused the position.
I think that’s how she wound up at Treasury.
I believe she was also brought down with one of the books she wrote, they accused her of plagiarism. I never believed it, and that may be what she means when she says, she has been attacked by the deep state. I remember it sidelined her for a while.
She is articulate, and smart as a whip, tough, and totally MAGA. Has been and always will be.
I think she would be good. if not emissary, than something else. She worked for President Nixon, a mentor of DJT.
Perfect. I agree completely
My sentiments exactly, and Dr. Ben fears only the Lord.
why wouldnt the lie to the emissary? seems hopeless.
Heavy sigh. Who’s lying in your scenario?
Probably someone the emissary will never speak to. Which showcases the challenge in trying to get people to understand how things are.
It is exactly why an emissary is needed. Go around the corrupt channels straight to the heads of IC appointed by the President.
Like in the old days of using a runner to take orders to subordinate. Except this Emissary needs to be 100 percent loyal and will take no confused statements back to the President.
The IC is gonna lose their minds about this
Agree with the choice of Dr. Ben Carson, however, when I watched his interview with Tucker Carlson, he seemed very tired, almost as if he were ill. Not sure he is physically able.
While Dr. Carson would be my first choice, a second possibility might be Dr. Victor Davis Hanson. He is absolutely brilliant, has unparalleled knowledge of military history and strategy, is conservative, Christian, humble, and doesn’t need the money.
I’m not sure he fully understands the depth of the corruption of the fourth branch, but could be brought up to speed very quickly.
He should, at the very least, be brought into a position of close counsel to President Trump.
I like your idea, but that is because I have read a lot of what Hanson has written and I always appreciate his insights. But VDH is also getting old and I think he may have a few infirmities that would not be helped by such a demanding situation. We old folks have to be our own best advocates. But I am sure Hanson has a list of other historians whom he trusts for honesty and accuracy and who are younger.
Hanson might be very helpful to Trump in an advisory role. Victor Davis Hanson is at his best when he describes what has already happened. I definitely think he could help Trump in that type of role. Trump wants smart people around him and VDH still has great command of his logical processes.
He was late to the game in supporting Trump and the existential issues in this cycle.
If everyone is expected to lie, then we need a better liar on our side and who can use their ability to lie to the president to communicate the truth.
A bit of reverse psychology as it were. “Mr President, the sky is pink today”, wink wink.
I think Mike Lindell would make a great emissary. He is a lot smarter than most people realize, but has the humility not to show off about it.
No. He is emotionally unstable as well as financially hurt right now. He needs to correct his own ship.
Sorry, but he is like a bull in a china cabinet in my opinion. He would get to the facts eventually, but he would scatter his footprints all over his back trail.

That is not her. Pretty close resemblance but not Harris.
Do you really consider this the appropriate thread for this ?
Thanks, Sundance.
Infidelity is not a winning topic given PDJT’s propensity for it himself. Let us all stick to policy arguments if we are to win. Besides, she has plenty of issues we can feature (record on incarceration, ancestry selection/exploitation, border czar, and…wait for it….whatever burden she will soon be unburdened by) in our discussion that will hold actual weight.

President Trump ran for President not for the sake of becoming President. He ran for President in order to dismantle the deep state.
This is and has been all about dismantling the deep state from day one.
Becoming President was not the end. It was simply the means to an end. That end is much higher than the office of the Presidency and a four year or eight year term. We are witnessing the complete dismantling of a global power structure that has used and abused our American blood and treasure for their own nefarious purposes for far too long.
President Trump, along with his team of warriors and in alignment with We the People, are putting an end to it. Yes, Trust the Plan. We the People are part of that plan.
“And with you by my side, together, we will Make America Great Again.”
This is made evident by the mere fact that the deep state dismantling continues during this “pause” phase where President Trump in theory is not the acting President.
Ask yourself, “Has this dismantling continued, or has it stopped over the past 3 1/2 years?” I say it has continued and has accelerated. The wheels are falling off the DC/globalist wagon at an alarming pace.
I believe our country is and has been at war. We are fighting enemies both foreign and domestic. I believe President Trump is operating as Commander in Chief, has been operating in that capacity all along and will continue to do so during his next term as President.
When our favorite President says, “The best is yet to come.”, I believe him. He said it at the ellipse on the morning of Jan 6th. That was a very dark day when many of us believed a coup d’etat was in progress. If he knew the best was yet to come then at a very dark hour, then I believe he knows the plan. That plan is slowly being revealed to us and the rest of the world.
The good guys are winning. The battle is not over. It will continue. As it continues, more and more people will realize there is in fact an ongoing battle and will join the good guys against the forces of evil we are fighting.
Just showing up is half the battle. The good guys are showing up in record numbers. The force is growing daily.

Nice try. Won’t work with me though.
It won’t work with the 100’s of millions of good people across the globe who know who and what this battle is about either.
Trump was a political novice when he appointed these folks. He won’t make this mistake again.
Yes, he “trusted” the process and listened to people who lied snd deceived. Won’t happen again.
Hopefully you are right, but I think he has to make sure his intents are not known till the last moment. As the coup machine that’s gearing up against him, will take advantage of this.
I am not sure how he can do his own research without letting the coup machine know. I guess he has to setup a lot of decoys in the process.
John Ratcliffe
Mathew Whittaker
On the fence on Ratcliffe though he certainly made the rounds sounding alarms about all kinds of shenanigans. I don’t know how close the Trump family has kept him and that could be telling.
Whittaker was acting AG and did nada. That is a hard no for me.
Whatever was intended the US has reproduced the Court of George III. Like Poland of old it has an Elected Monarch.
It is no longer a President advised by a Senate nominated by State legislatures in a classical sense. Now it is „First Family“ as „Royal Family“ and titles retained even out of office
Nevertheless the President is isolated like King George III without a Prime Minister which is your „emissary“
If you go down this path you will have French presidency with a Prime Minister and elected Ministers
The U.S. system never envisaged CIA or FBI or Federal Reserve or elected Senate. This perversion of the original settlement means NO man can reform it
Secession is the only option
This is naive at best, suicidal at worst.
I don’t believe Dr Carson would return to DC
It would be antithetical to his core belief system
My first thought:Colonel McGregor could be a consideration as an emissary
The emissary position as described would essentially be an outsider position.
Ben is the BEST
cross posted at https://freedomaustralia.freeforums.net/thread/5857/emissary-trump-staffing-2025
In my own mind I’d love to see someone like Don Shipley in that role, simply because you aren’t getting any bs past that guy and nobody can intimidate him.
I had honestly never heard of this position before. I appreciate the education
Ben Carson would be perfect! Perhaps Sebastian Gorka as well??
Devin Nunez
He knows where the bodies are that need to be removed and sent to Gitmo starting with Mark Warner
I think Nunes can be trusted. we have to assume that the deep state coup machine will go after any family member of the close circle. that means there will entrapment attempts, sabotage, surveillance authorized through fake pretenses — basically anything they are trained to do will be used.
The swamp and the silos constructed in the swamp are sustained by lies. The entire point of a Central Intelligence Agency was to have a central place for intelligence to be gathered so that information would be available to the executive branch. But this central group was made up of professional liars, so they went off on their own and did whatever they wanted, just like they did when they were the Office of Special Services in ww2. The IC has been reinforcing those silos since the late 40’s.
Having honest and direct communication with the elected representative of we, The People, would run the risk of destroying all the little kingdoms (i.e. silos) that have been built over the years. I recall Bill “Bondo” Barr mentioning that “preserving the institutions” was his priority instead of telling the truth and fixing the damn problems. Fixing the rot may require burning that institution to the ground and starting over. I’m willing to do it, of course, because it is not my kingdom and I am paying for its continued existence.
Ben Carson knows the extent of the rot, is highly intelligent and is dead honest. He also has a depth of character that I have seldom seen in an individual. A perfect candidate.
Peter Navarro is similar, though he does not have the Armor of God that Ben Carson has burnished. I’d trust him.
As an offshoot of military intelligence following WW1, the CIA was formed to protect the business interests of wealthy American businessmen, not to protect the US and its citizens.
It seems to me this person needs to fly under the radar. Their role needs to be one that is shielded from media scrutiny. Perhaps someone the media already hates and tried to destroy could act as an advisor, as they’d essentially be immune to further attacks.
“It seems to me this person needs to fly under the radar. Their role needs to be one that is shielded from media scrutiny.”
We can’t have “secret” govt. officials. If this made-up role which does not exist in our Constitution is shielded from media scrutiny, then it is also shielded from scrutiny of the people who the POTUS answers to. The people are the sovereign and anyone representing our govt. needs to be exposed to sunlight. The POTUS doesn’t need someone to tell his employees what he wants or says. He says it or orders it directly.
Chief of Staff is a made-up role too. There’s nothing unconstitutional about inventing a new type of presidential assistant.
As I posted in other thread — Trump has to keep his picks under the radar till the last moment. Perhaps using a lot decoys to ensure that the surveillance state and the deep state coup machine will not take advantage of knowing his intents.
any role for a pediatrician? there are, shockingly, very few conservative pediatricians.
Mark Levin
? Seriously?
Has an ego greater than Hannity’s, and he tends to shout/scream at people who call in when they disagree. In the role of Emissary, he’d be out there promoting his next book rather than the interests of the President. That said, you forgot the sarc tag, right?
absolutely not for Levin.
has no practical understanding of where the true filth is buried, and will not be loyal when pressed.
The emissary as by-pass is brilliant. An opportunity to reduce/eliminate the power of the ruling tier permanently ensconced under the appointed/confirmed head.
I could see an opportunity for ambitious third tier folks to see opportunities to improve their lot in life. I can also see the second tier peeling away as their influence, power and payoffs diminish.
I believe it would sharpen Trumps authority and begin a process of reducing the entrenchment.
An artful and subtle approach to regain control. My instinct were to test the extent of executive orders and fire everybody and turn Washington DC into a museum. Sundance’s approach is much better
The emissary idea is similar to one I had but mine was for someone in a much lower position than that.
My Emissary at the lower level is a person who would be assigned to each executive order or Bill that President Trump signed for something he supported to follow that executive order through the bureaucratic process to make sure it went through as quickly as possible and implemented.
In other words this executive order could not sit on someone’s desk for a few weeks or months until that person decided to move it on to the next desk. I felt this was a problem all along with many of President Trump’s actions as they were not implemented because the bureaucracy didn’t want them implemented and sat on them. That is until they actually had to do it if they did actually have to do it.
In terms of following the order or Bill through each desk I mean literally sitting on that person’s desk until they fulfill their responsibilities day after day after day.
Our first emissary was Benjamin Franklin. He went to France, to secure aid in our war for independence. One of his quotes is as follows: “The way to secure peace is to be prepared for war. They that are on their guard, and appear ready to receive their adversaries, are in much less danger of being attacked, than the supine, secure, and negligent.”
I’d suggest Billy Graham Jr. But the left would gnash teeth and throw out the “handmaids tale” trope. Needs to be a person rooted in Christ, but established with bonafides in commerce as to deflect the theocrat attacks. Anyone of faith will no doubt still be attacked as such. So perhaps just someone djt trusts implicitly.. Dan scavino.. perhaps….
“If a candidate for an IC position is not willing to lie to the President, the Senate will not confirm him/her.” I guess that’s one of the reasons they went so hard after General Flynn.
The candidate doesn’t need to be confirmed by anyone but PDJT. It’s not a cabinet position. He would be a trusted advisor.
I agree both with the need for a loyal and trustworthy emissary and the observation that Ben Carson would be perfect.
My greatest question is if that there is any evidence that CTH, in any form, gets to PresidentTrump?
Addison… As a relative newbie I would love to know also, if the CTH has a line to DJT.
If you have ever worked inside the silos, one question you get every time in an interview is “can you lie with a straight face?”
Sundance is correct, that is a primary role for any govie in any silo
Dr. Carson would be good in this role.
If Dr. Carson declines, another option would be Governor Henry McMaster. First elected Republican (SC Lt. Gov. at the time) to endorse Trump in 2016, became governor when Haley went to the UN and has since won re-election. Has always supported Trump and MAGA.
Like Dr. Carson, Gov. McMaster is a quiet, unassuming type and a devout Christian. If McMaster moves to the Trump administration, then his hand-picked successor Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette would become governor. She seems pretty good; also a successful business owner before getting into politics.
Sundance, I agree with you on Ben Carson. I listened to him give a speech many years ago at an inservice for teachers in Texas. The examples he gave in his life of teachers changing his life touched my heart. We were all given his book, as I read it I was so impressed with his life, his brother and his mother. I followed him in the news and continued to read about him and his thought on many different issues. He has wisdom that is rarely found in men today and he answers only to God. I see no other agenda with him.
Ben Carson came to mind as I was reading the piece, but so did a couple of others… Donald Trump Jr and Devin Nunes, in particular.
There is no Emissary in the U.S. Constitution. It also risks infiltration and subterfuge of the POTUS who does not need a go-between to express his views and orders.
If the POTUS, who is answerable to “We The People” can’t directly, in person or in writing, say what he needs to say to who he needs to say it to, with witnesses, then that person isn’t suitable for the job. Another person is not needed to say what the POTUS said nor did the American people or our Founders create that role.
There is the Constitution and there is reality. That great document offers guidelines for The Republic. Exigencies of the daily challenges of being President/Commander In Chief require unique abilities to thwart those who would prefer to maintain the political status quo.
If you understand the concept of our modern day government machinery, especially as Sundance continues to explain it, (e.g., the silo system used by the intelligence community), then you might agree an emissary (or “trusted envoy”) would be a good idea.
History indicates past presidents (check histories of Washington, Polk, Wilson, FDR, and others) found the use of a private emissary the most effective way to ensure clear communications. Just as with President Trump’s first term, many of those presidents had enemies very close at hand who had ulterior motives for disrupting the messages sent and received by the executive duly elected by We The People.
In a perfect world, your suggestion should work perfectly.
Some of US of such impeccable character advised President Trump in these regards in late/early 2016/17 : Jail DNCriminal Hellary, CinC order border sealed by free-fire zone (no wall by Congress needed) and take Jeh Johnson’s DHS elections as critical infrastructure for the gift it was against DEMinion(s) und Konnechewa – coming FRAUD ! IOW :
Butt, NOOOO0000oooo …. !!!
I agree that Dr. Carson would be excellent in this role, but if he is unavailable (health issues were mentioned as the reason he was rules out as Vice President), then I have a conventional and an unconventional suggestion;
The Conventional one is Ric Grenell who proved his loyalty to President Trump during his first term and already has had exposure to the IC.
The unconventional one hinges more on the humility, moral courage and clarity aspect (and slightly that it would frustrate all the right people) is Archbishop Viganò. He was excommunicated by the Deep State equivalent in Catholic Church for his devotion to the truth of his faith and is well aware of the evils we actually face.
Doubling up as a spiritual advisor in what is in truth really a fight against principalities and powers for whom the IC serve (whether they know it or not) can also only help.
I’d like Dr. Carson, but it would be foolish to not have backup options.
Great Reading .
Thanks everyone.
Now Sundance clearly explained how the Emissary will be in a position that requires he be excepting ,ready for, and understanding what is required to combat the lies he will be fed.
If Trump puts someone in that position who hasn’t been through the decepticon machine he runs the risk of having someone who, even though full of knowledge ,political acumen, negotiation skill and good intentions is unable to fully grasp what is at hand in the limited window of opportunity and have the mindset required to accomplish the monumental task at hand.
I think there is a 50/50 chance that Dr. Carson could be the person I just described.
No offense to Ben but his default position may be too pragmatic to get it done. I my view there is a good chance he may try to nudged them to change their ways which would be a waste of the precious time ,the short window of opportunity, to do what is necessary. Which is putting the enemy on the spot ,on the record and in a position to be removed if they do not carry out the intentions of the President to the letter.
This is not some nonsensical game of “three dimension chess” it is pure power politics .
I just don’t see Dr. Carson being worth the 50/50 risk .
I think the person who has demonstrated the skill the most was in the gang of eight , saw what was happening, fulfilled duties b by exposing the silo and then once he was identified as a threat , the other 7 lifetime members on the committee surly began to deceive him to drive him from the position.
The committee drove out the only person who was on that traitorous sham with any integrity.
I believe that Sundance mentioned the need for this person to be financially independent like Trump as well as someone he can trust.
To me it looks like Trump has assured the requirement for financial independence and shown his confidence in this person by selection him to run his latest venture that has the potential to reap fantastic rewards.
Isn’t interesting that Trump didn’t select anyone in his close family circle to do so .
Yes ,in my view , Devin Nunes should be one of the top consideration ,if not the top consideration for the job.
When he was on the gang of 8 he had no power to make a difference . Please don’t confuse his leaving as a capitulation. His power was limited to the power the committee gave or didn’t give him guaranteeing to stop his efforts .
As the emissary the power equation will be flipped giving him a chance to succeed in his efforts.
He could have stayed and played the game and I am sure they would have rewarded him greatly but he chose to step away .
I think that speaks volumes as to his integrity.
Just for the record , in my opinion Don Jr. should not even be a consideration .
His relation with the ex wife of Gavin Newsome and his letting her injection herself into the fray indicated he may have very poor judgement.
An emissary is fine but as we all saw during the covid press conferences a lot of BS was released right in the presence of DJT. Still comes down to the integrity of the people running the department.
The idea of an emissary, a new position, and the reason for and role of an emissary as outlined above is brilliant.
I agree with Sundance that Dr. Carson has all the personal traits he mentioned that are required for this kind of post. In addition, he is as good a listener as he is a speaker. I also think Dr. Carson has thought deeply about what needs to change in D.C.
I was pretty sure you were talking about Ben Carson before I got to the end. Absolutely great choice. I can envision a secretary telling her high ranking boss “sir, Dr Carson is here to speak to you”
Carson is perfect, soft spoken, unassuming, gentlemanly. He can put the “deep stater’s” suspicions to rest.
Is Dr. Carson shrewd enough to realize when he is getting played?
There is historical precedent for having an unofficial but potent Presidential Emissary. Harry Hopkins filled that role for FDR prior to and during WW2, very effectively. One could argue about whether Hopkins’s favor toward the Soviet Union produced some bad results. But because he was known to have FDR’s ear and speak for FDR, the rest of the government paid attention when he spoke to them. An important key to his effectiveness for FDR was—as it will be for an Emissary of DJT—that the President acted on what Hopkins told him, and imposed consequences on those who ignored Hopkins. I believe that will be important for DJT.
I have to think that being the Emissary of President DJT will involve enormous physical stress. Presidents age visibly while in office, and that’s likely to fall on the Emissary as well. For that reason, the health and physical stamina of the Emissary will matter greatly. I’m sure Dr. Carson’s faith will give him all the mental and psychological stamina needed. He’s about to turn 73, though (if my math is correct). Sundance, do you think he is up to the challenge in terms of health and physical stamina?
Steve Bannon
He is around 70 himself.
2000000%!!
Always MAGA 👊👊🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️
Following your lines of thought continues to be a breath of fresh air helping to blow away the cobwebs of despair caused by the malaise which has enveloped our political system.
Thank you, Sundance.
Regardless of the specific individual, as you rightly point out, it must, above all, be someone President Trump trusts. That is the key.
100%. Ben Carson
Carson okay but I think using his son Eric as the Emissary would be ideal……independent income and total access that no watchdog at the front door can prevent or delay.
Too busy minding the store (the Trump Organization).
Is the password still the same?
Sundance, as I was reading your essay, I was thinking that you are describing Dr. Ben Carson. Then you confirmed it. Thank you.
Carson great.
Grennell good as well
Nunes yes
John Eastman?
SD, thank you for the thought provoking essay.
Rick Grenel.
I’d like to see Terry Turchie have some place in the next Trump administration. He is a former FBI agent who is the author of the book, In Their Own Words, which tell how the communist democrats are destroying this country. We have to look around for people who aren’t the big names.
I ‘d like to see Ron Paul as Secretary of the Treasury or head of the Federal Reserve.
