Today, FBI Director Christopher Wray will face questions about the FBI role in the attempted assassination of President Trump and their investigation in the aftermath.
To date, despite the significance of the event, no official press conference with the heads of Secret Service, Dept of Homeland Security or the FBI have taken place. There have been ZERO official press conference where USSS, DHS or FBI would answer questions. In the absence of this protocol, which is intentionally missing, congress has stepped into the role of the media and trying to get answers. It’s all sketchy; all of it.

The rifle was shown on the roof. I have no idea where the bullets are. I’d love to see them retrieved and analyzed but that may be a difficult task considering the maximum range of a .223.

There is zero legal basis for the FBI to claim that they “cannot” speak about ongoing investigations. That is an internal FBI “rule”. One which has zero legal basis and does not take precedence over the power of Congress to investigate the FBI’s “investigations”.
Remember, it was also an internal DOJ “rule” that there would be no investigations or prosecutions of presidential candidates in an election year. And they had zero difficult in setting aside that “rule” when they found it convenient to do it.
Maybe they never intended to actually kill President Trump, but rather to scare him into ending his massive outdoor rallies. If so, it would appear they have achieved that objective.
Those rallies, attended by tens of thousands, are an obvious demonstration of his support in the country.

A more important topic I’d think is that phone data.. Why would one of the phones have visited DC offices near the FBI. If we know these offices are near the FBI, what are these offices near the FBI used for exactly?

There is a video out there on YT with a retired FBI Assistant Director that explained that the FBI “Intelligence” comes up with the protection plan and the job of the Secret Service is to enact it. I think that means the department Peter Strzok was a part of does the vetting and plans. I may be incorrect.
The woman seen in the videos showing the planning stages may actually be FBI. With the Heritage Foundation tracking cell phones visiting the house and place of work since January tied to a building in D.C. (right next to the FBI), this may all start forming a different picture.

I just watched a (TikTok?) video of a SS/Homeland rifleman in tactical gear point his weapon directly at PDT just after he entered the Getaway SUV. The rifleman was talking on his headset, then lifted up his rifle and took direct aim at the President inside the vehicle. Then a plainclothes (black suit, white shirt) officer ran up to him and waved him off. And they both fled.

Anyone can see the officer point that gun at Trump as he enters the vehicle and then withdraw when Trump is out of sight. It is in every news video. I did not see, however, a plain clothes officer wave him off. The SWAT guy did seem to be getting directions over the radio though. Too bad Cheatle deleted all the audio and text recordings from the event!
The video I saw showed tactical guy aim, then lower weapon slightly. Then the suit runs up and place his body in front of the rifle barrel as if to stop a shooting. Then both exited quickly.
