Interestingly, Nancy Pelosi held a meeting with the California House delegation on July 10th, nine days ago, to strategize how to exit Biden without a “coronation of Kamala Harris.” Details of the meeting are only coming out now.
Keep in mind, only through an “open convention” process can someone other than Kamala Harris take over the ticket. Pelosi gives the appearance of calling for the democrat base to have a say in the replacement, but in actuality it’s the only way the club insiders can select a nominee that’s not Kamala Harris.

Additionally, the list of democrats who are calling for Biden to make an exit announcement now includes members of the congressional black caucus. This is the first crack in the only remaining Biden coalition that was standing firmly in his defense.

Like it or not, there is only one honorable thing for the DemocRATS to do with this, and that is let Biden run and lose, then retool for 2028. IF they do what Pelosi is contemplating here and it isn’t Biden or Harris, then what about all those that actually received votes in the Primaries but are NOT the chosen one for the party? Then you have a multitude of lawsuits on your hands and the voters then had nothing to do with their party’s candidate. TOTALLY UnAmerican and Unconstitutional.
I’m wondering why they’re in such a panic about losing one election. What are they so afraid of? Or is it just personal greed, they don’t want to let go? Their donors will stop donating?

“Honorable” “American” and “Constitutional” are words I can’t think to apply to a single elected democrat for the last 25 years. Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman are probably the only examples I can think of. Maybe Fetterman.
The only thing that matters to the Democrats is winning. They are not going to lay down and hand Donald Trump the presidency. And if Biden is standing in their way, he’s in the same position Trump was on that podium. These people will lie, cheat, manipulate, sue, slander, libel, assault, and murder to retain power. I would dispense with any notion of Democrats doing the honorable thing.
The purpose of any party is winning. Parties that exist “to make a statement” are irrelevancies.

Sorry, but has nothing to do with “unamerican” or “unconstitutional”. Sure anyone can file a lawsuit, but the chances of such a suit providing any relief are Zero zip nada.
The real question is how the power brokers can finesse the convention delegates. If delegates have the mindset of going to party/hear speeches then the powers will force through what they want. The only option is for delegates to organize, but I don’t see the mechanism for that to happen.

One thing I am interested in is whether the Biden’s have been able to achieve protection from being prosecuted for their criminal activities over the years or not.
If they have been able to get protection, would that be because of the dirt they have on other people? All their allies appear to be turning on them, and no one in the family will be politically useful to people outside the family once Joe is gone.

This is on a different topic but I’ve noticed on my computer which uses Yahoo for a search engine that President Trump has not shown up on the top ten trending stories the last few days. I had read that the MSM were blackballing any stories that mention the assassination attempt on his life. This would seem to confirm that as there is rarely a day when he was not in the top ten trending stories. They are doing their best to make the public forget it ever happened it appears.

The last two weeks or so is the first time since 2018 that the Dems have seem scared. This is a party that generally doesn’t behave as though they have any fear of the electorate. A lot of that probably comes down to having hegemonic control of almost all opinion-shaping institutions.
The thing about trying to rig this election with Biden is that it’s a terribly risky proposition. The level of cheating it’s going to require to come up with 80,000,000 ballots this time will be very difficult to carry out unobserved. And it still may not be enough to drag Biden over the line. So imaging the Dems being caught red-handed at industrial-scale ballot fraud with DJT in the WH and a new attorney general.
I’d bet strongly against Biden being the nominee in November.
This to me is priceless. Pelosi personally never would do it for the Party. Slo’ Joe is smart enough to know that once he is the nominee all of these people will suddenly be lining up at the door to support him. He just has to last that long. And since no one can make him step down, he just has to go about his business and it will work out for him.
And since he is counting on hundreds of thousands of illegal alien votes, he knows the polls are useless. So in his mind if he hangs on he wins again.
Usually, the party’s base chooses the candidate in the PRIMARY election…

“Baltimore Nan'” was my freshman congresswoman, when I was at U. C. Hastings College of the Law. I know a lot about her from being a constituent of hers and also from family friends. One of those family friends was a Baltimore Sun reporter when daddy and brother were Baltimore Mayors and known, terrible racists. That is how she grew up.
Baltimore Nan’ has no interest in anyone or anything other than herself. For the life of me, I have no idea why anyone fears her.
