Trump talking to someone he’s known for 25 years, hours after the event was likely a real way for him to process what had happened.
People of his age/generation don’t go running to a therapist at the drop of the hat. They don’t have anything against them, but counted on friends/family first. Heck many times I’d get home from school and my Mom was on the phone with a friend, she wasn’t really talking just asking a few questions and letting the other person talk.
