I do not think it was by chance that I stopped, read it, and saved it, knowing that at some unknown point, the woman who more than personifies it would step forward to show herself once more. I desperately wish it weren’t for the terrible reasons which shocked us all yesterday.

The tone of Melania’s statement doesn’t have the ring of a speech writer’s. I’d wager she decided this statement needed to be entirely crafted by her and that’s just what she did.

In less than 3 months I will, by the grace of God, celebrate 50 years of marriage to my high school sweet heart.
