Retired Magistrate here: About a week ago my husband and I went to lunch and saw a car carrier with several vehicles on it marked “United States Police.” We thought that was very unusual because I have never heard of such an agency. So is this a secret brown shirt agency? Local law enforcement would have the name of the county/city/district that the officer is affiliated with not “United States Police.” Very fishy.

I recall a video made about the life of George Washington where they had supposedly interviewed an Indian chief involved in the French Indian war of which Washington took part. He described a skirmish (battle of Monongahela) where they tried to kill the officer on the horse (Washington) but despite all their efforts, Washington remained unharmed despite having his horse shot out from under him and several bullet holes in his coat. If you read the article very carefully, at no point do they refer to the officer by gender. They very deliberately, IMHO, used a passive, neutral voice to describe what happened. I do not believe that they are going to name this officer because I very strongly suspect that it may have been a female who panicked when a gun was pointed at her and scurried back down the ladder rather than take the shot and neutralize the threat!
This is driving me crazy…..so if he/she went up the ladder and saw him there did they not peak? just look a little not just climb up willy nilly and stand there. Why didn’t the shooter kill that PO? He had to know he was going to die, he had to see the Counter Snipers on the roof across. Unless he was “kind hearted” and only wanted to hurt DJT.

Does God allow things to happen? Yes. Can God direct a bullet not to hit Donald Trump? Yes. Can God direct the same bullet to miss one man and fatally hit another man? Yes. Can God send angels to direct that bullet around one man and allow it to hit another man? Yes. Yesterday in Pennsylvania in this case is that what He did? I don’t know. Does anyone really know when God intervenes or doesn’t intervene in situations like this?. For me, I thank God as I cried, watching this all unfold that Donald Trump was spared and later, when I found out the dad died protecting his kids I was saddened. I am not smart enough or have enough wisdom if I was that daughter or that wife or that family member of that dad to be able to understand all that happened.

I agree! I have been very suspicious about this assertion since it suddenly appeared earlier today. If a police officer had Crooks in their sights, I don’t believe they would have waited for permission to fire, as there would have been a standing order to neutralize any threat.
No one ends up on a SWAT/ counterterrorism unit without a lot of experience and a lot of training and this whole story just does not pass the sniff test as far as I’m concerned!

There is a possibility that there was a second shooter further away (more time than 0.34 seconds) and the turning of the head with wind drift amounted to the parallel position of the bullet path and Trump’s head. Some commentators claim there is a water tower behind the location of the shooter shot dead.
I watched this Tom MacDonald video on *U-toob* earlier. It’s awesome even tho it is hard to look at all of his adornment. The words of the rap said it all!

I just saw that graphic in this video. Pretty good analysis.
Based on new aerial footage shows shooter back in building where he had clear shot of PDJT, but counter snipers had tree blocking and looking into setting sun 🤔
Actually, I just double checked Google earth and I don’t think sun was a factor for counter-snipers. It appears shooter was almost due N of them, but sun would be hitting roof.

The guy looked like he was looking in his sight, and he lifted his head to verify what he thinks he saw, and that is when he confirmed and tried to re-position his tripod as they took incoming. I wonder if the sniper got off a few shots directly at them. I got yelled at by folks at home that I was making excuses for them. They should have shot him sooner.

Is the photo with the bullet in flight confirmed authentic? I had seen X posts saying a camera shutter isn’t fast enough to capture a bullet in flight. Also, the flight path is in line with the bottom of his ear but it was the top of his ear that got pierced, wasn’t it? On the other hand if it is a fake I would think the editor would have lined up the path better so I don’t know. What is everyone’s thoughts on that particular photo?

I think that bullet didn’t hit PDJT, it went past him. There were casualties to Trump’s right and to his left; this bullet likely went into the area to his left.
This is the image where he begins to grimace and raise his hand to his already pierced ear.
It is plausible in my own mind.
He was the first struck, the following rounds were a bit more willy nilly as he had already dropped to the floor and was no longer a very easy target, if he wasn’t struck by the first bullet, when did he get hit?

the shooter was unimpressive. that’s the real story here. at 150 yards, I am sub moa 1/3 inch NO MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER CONDITIONS. if we are going to talk about divine intervention or a twist of the head, we need to speak plainly.

Don’t disagree, but the data we reviewed in here today tells me that the wind drift on a .223 at that range was 3.5-4″. Plus stress, the assassin had a task here.
It was a poor shot. Especially at that range with that rifle. But that’s not the point.
Had PDJT not turned his head at precisely the correct moment, it still would have hit.
He turned his head towards the margin of error. At exactly the correct instant in time as the round passed. Miraculous timing. It created a perfect geometry to literally only graze his face that way. Without an ear in the way, it was literally a “close shave”. We’re talking a difference in millimeters and a few degrees here.
And that’s the story.
At that range, you would feel the hit before you hear it.
and again, I will press the reality that this shooter was unskilled.untrained.
I know this has little meaning to most people, but in the world if taking skill shots from a long rifle, you actually plan the op. that means you spend LOTS of time on the range. You weigh and match your rounds. You have a plan and you train that plan over and over and over.
I am not disputing the fact that a slight head movement made the difference.
WHAT I AM SAYING IN A CLEAR REPRESENTATION is that that movement would have made zero difference IF THE SHOOTER WAS PROPERLY TRAINED, motivated and had executed plan that was reproducible from training.
I get a bit frustrated you see when I read the words “divine intervention”. the reality is this shooter was incapable and relied solely on luck . Luck is not how you do the death business.

The assassin has to fit the right profile, and have no connections to the larger conspiracy. That is the largest portion of his selection. His skills might be deficient, not expert, but the larger conspiracy compensated by putting him in an elevated position at very close range to the target. That was the real task here, the shot was novice level. Now it’s to uncover the conspiracy that put him in that perch, not analyze the sub novice shooting skills of the assassin. And yes, if there hadn’t been a 7-8mph crosswind, he might have blown Trump’s head off with that shot.
Get a skilled shooter and he’s got a longer trail of connections, perhaps leading back to the conspiracy. Better a lost boy in this case, put him on top of the target, and then hope for the best.

The inactions and lack of proper protection for anyone politician or elite was so screwed makes my head just reel with disgust for our government.
When I look back at the slow reaction to the shots, its just so disbelievable . They should have tackled and dogpiled Trump much faster. In situations like that its protect the person first . On top of those scopes are two laser range finders because it helps to alleviate a shot spotter. When you are a sniper, you need information immediately to adjust your wind and elevation turrets in split seconds. When it comes to protecting the President, you don’t have time to guess.
All of the folks so far discussed by the media, including the assassin, were not “snipers”, but shooters, marksmen and sharpshooters. As you say a “sniper” deals in split-seconds, works with single shots and operates almost on instinct. Where a true “sniper” could place a bullet, even 80 years ago is almost supernatural:

The bullet they showed last night on OAN. With a trajectory passing just below the hair line on the base of his neck at an angle suggesting 90 degrees, going away from the camera. If the weapon used was based on an M16 design, the bullet would have been spinning off center. That did not appear to be the case.
Today: When I first saw the photo with the alleged bullet trace, I was skeptical about exactly what was depicted and whether the photo had been altered. As to the bullet tumble, a bullet becomes more unstable as it goes transonic. At approx. 150 yards out, I would think a .223 or 5.56 bullet would still be flying stable, but, I’m just opining for the sake of opining.
There is no ‘tumble’ until it strikes, ricochets or maybe slows down.
That round is plenty accurate up to 250-300 meters before trajectory is impacted by loss of energy and gravity. With sight adjustment for elevation, probably 500 m or in excess.

If you read the article very carefully, at no point do they refer to the officer by gender. They very deliberately, IMHO, used a passive, neutral voice to describe what happened. I do not believe that they are going to name this officer because I very strongly suspect that it may have been a female who panicked when a gun was pointed at her and scurried back down the ladder rather than take the shot and neutralize the threat!
This is driving me crazy…..so if he/she went up the ladder and saw him there did they not peak? just look a little not just climb up willy nilly and stand there. Why didn’t the shooter kill that PO? He had to know he was going to die, he had to see the Counter Snipers on the roof across. Unless he was “kind hearted” and only wanted to hurt DJT.

A woman was shot in the chest, but I haven’t heard about her.
By the grace of God, one man survived, and one man died. How’s that possible? Romans 8:28 comes to mind. Did God spare one man and kill the other one? I don’t think so.. Both men got up in the morning maybe and prayed to their God about the upcoming day ahead and ending their prayers, “God Your will be done.” Then one man died and one man lived that day. Does God allow things to happen? Yes. Can God direct a bullet not to hit Donald Trump? Yes. Can God direct the same bullet to miss one man and fatally hit another man? Yes. I agree! I have been very suspicious about this assertion since it suddenly appeared earlier today. If a police officer had Crooks in their sights, I don’t believe they would have waited for permission to fire, as there would have been a standing order to neutralize any threat.

Some commentators claim there is a water tower behind the location of the shooter shot dead.

The guy looked like he was looking in his sight, and he lifted his head to verify what he thinks he saw, and that is when he confirmed and tried to re-position his tripod as they took incoming. I wonder if the sniper got off a few shots directly at them. I got yelled at by folks at home that I was making excuses for them. They should have shot him sooner.

Is the photo with the bullet in flight confirmed authentic? I had seen X posts saying a camera shutter isn’t fast enough to capture a bullet in flight. Also, the flight path is in line with the bottom of his ear but it was the top of his ear that got pierced, wasn’t it? On the other hand if it is a fake I would think the editor would have lined up the path better so I don’t know. What is everyone’s thoughts on that particular photo?

I think that bullet didn’t hit PDJT, it went past him. There were casualties to Trump’s right and to his left; this bullet likely went into the area to his left.
This is the image where he begins to grimace and raise his hand to his already pierced ear.
It is plausible in my own mind.
He was the first struck, the following rounds were a bit more willy nilly as he had already dropped to the floor and was no longer a very easy target, if he wasn’t struck by the first bullet, when did he get hit?

Don’t disagree, but the data we reviewed in here today tells me that the wind drift on a .223 at that range was 3.5-4″. Plus stress, the assassin had a task here.
BS. There is no 3 1/2 to 4″ deviation on a 5 mph wind at 150 yards.
5 mph wind won’t even affect that much variance on a 3o0 m shot on a silhouette with open sights.
Been there done that repeatedly over 30 years ago.
Actually, the poster put windage at 5″ for that shot, and provided data. You’d have to provide data to support your musings:

Wind speed is 10 mph but the chart does not specify bullet weight.
Chart shows 11.5” of drift at 300’, so if the shooter was at 150’ then maybe 5” of drift or so.
It was a poor shot. Especially at that range with that rifle. But that’s not the point.
Had PDJT not turned his head at precisely the correct moment, it still would have hit.
He turned his head towards the margin of error. At exactly the correct instant in time as the round passed. Miraculous timing. It created a perfect geometry to literally only graze his face that way. Without an ear in the way, it was literally a “close shave”. We’re talking a difference in millimeters and a few degrees here.
And that’s the story.
At that range, you would feel the hit before you hear it.
and again, I will press the reality that this shooter was unskilled.untrained.
I know this has little meaning to most people, but in the world if taking skill shots from a long rifle, you actually plan the op. that means you spend LOTS of time on the range. You weigh and match your rounds. You have a plan and you train that plan over and over and over.
I am not disputing the fact that a slight head movement made the difference.
WHAT I AM SAYING IN A CLEAR REPRESENTATION is that that movement would have made zero difference IF THE SHOOTER WAS PROPERLY TRAINED, motivated and had executed plan that was reproducible from training.

The assassin has to fit the right profile, and have no connections to the larger conspiracy. That is the largest portion of his selection. His skills might be deficient, not expert, but the larger conspiracy compensated by putting him in an elevated position at very close range to the target. That was the real task here, the shot was novice level. Now it’s to uncover the conspiracy that put him in that perch, not analyze the sub novice shooting skills of the assassin. And yes, if there hadn’t been a 7-8mph crosswind, he might have blown Trump’s head off with that shot.
Get a skilled shooter and he’s got a longer trail of connections, perhaps leading back to the conspiracy. Better a lost boy in this case, put him on top of the target, and then hope for the best.

On top of those scopes are two laser range finders because it helps to alleviate a shot spotter. When you are a sniper, you need information immediately to adjust your wind and elevation turrets in split seconds. When it comes to protecting the President, you don’t have time to guess.
You don’t adjust wind and elevation turret. You use mil-dot holdovers for follow up shots.
All of the folks so far discussed by the media, including the assassin, were not “snipers”, but shooters, marksmen and sharpshooters. As you say a “sniper” deals in split-seconds, works with single shots and operates almost on instinct. Where a true “sniper” could place a bullet, even 80 years ago is almost supernatural:

The bullet they showed last night on OAN. With a trajectory passing just below the hair line on the base of his neck at an angle suggesting 90 degrees, going away from the camera. If the weapon used was based on an M16 design, the bullet would have been spinning off center. That did not appear to be the case.

Today: When I first saw the photo with the alleged bullet trace, I was skeptical about exactly what was depicted and whether the photo had been altered. As to the bullet tumble, a bullet becomes more unstable as it goes transonic. At approx. 150 yards out, I would think a .223 or 5.56 bullet would still be flying stable, but, I’m just opining for the sake of opining.
There is no ‘tumble’ until it strikes, ricochets or maybe slows down.
That round is plenty accurate up to 250-300 meters before trajectory is impacted by loss of energy and gravity. With sight adjustment for elevation, probably 500 m or in excess.
