Appeals continuously arrive in my email from movie stars, Jill Biden, and Kamala Harris telling me how necessary it is for me to contribute to Biden’s reelection in order to prevent Trump from becoming a dictator.
These appeals deserve a critical look, especially Kamala’s. The appeals say Trump has to be defeated because otherwise he is going to do to Democrats what Democrats have and are doing to Trump.
Kamala says “he will weaponize the Department of Justice against his political enemies.” This is what the Democrats have done to Trump for the past eight years. Someone should tell Kamala that what goes around comes around.
Of course, it is not OK to weaponize law against anyone under the legal system governed by the US Constitution. Why haven’t we heard anything from law schools, bar associations, presstitutes, Democrats and even Republicans about weaponizing law against Trump, indeed against anyone?
Kamala goes on to tell us that Trump “hand-picked three justices for the Supreme Court” who “gave Trump immunity for his crimes.”
Trump and the Supreme Court did no such thing. The Supreme Court simply ruled what has always been the rule that a president has immunity for official acts. No immunity was given to Trump the person. Immunity was upheld for the office of the president.
This has always been the case. Otherwise a president cannot perform the duties of his office if he can be stopped at every decision by a law suite. It was Democrat attorney general Merrick Garland who broke the rule. For Garland getting rid of Trump is what was important, not protecting the ability of the president to carry out his functions.
Kamala goes on to make the Democrats’ case against Trump:
Trump robbed “women of their freedom to make decisions about what happens to their own bodies.” Kamala means Trump prevented them from practicing infanticide. Only legislatures and courts, not a president, have this authority. Moreover, women give up the right to “control their own bodies” when they participate in the sex act without birth control.
Trump “would not disavow what happened on January 6.” But he has. He disavowed the frame-ups, show trials, and imprisonments of the Americans who attended a political rally. Democrats have redefined a Constitutionally protected protest as “insurrection.”

These customers have never heard of making anything from scratch (i.e., food preparation)?
Everything visible on that list except the organic peas is manufactured food. Sometimes it’s not all one way or another–there is middle ground that is sometimes conveniently ignored in order to make a point.
If they’re just making a point about things being more expensive, ok fine; but if they’re saying they “can’t afford” to feed their kids, maybe they need to put their thinking caps on.
No one cooks anymore. No one. You know how I cook? I broil, fry or bake 1 lb. of hamburger (or steak) and throw some butter on it. I have a few eggs. Sometimes I have liver. I have never felt better. It takes me 5 minutes to shop.
Our modern civilisation has developed 3 illusions that are killing us.
Security/Safety, Prosperity/Status, and Efficiency/Convenience.
The mark up, in $ alone for these illusions is often over 1000 percent, but the cost in terms of actual quality of life is far higher.

I cook by scratch mostly and frankly it’s more expensive. I went to wegmans grocery and one bag of groceries cost $81. It was to pack lunches for my kids summer jobs and husbands work. They pack because they don’t want to waste money on eating out. Our thinking caps are on and the price of food is still rediculous. Rolls are $1 each. Bread is $4 or more. We get most of our produce at fruit stands but at the grocery store it’s $1 for an ear of corn or a green pepper.
Oh, and in NYS it’s a bike for each bag you use to carry it home. I don’t buy bags I use a reusable bag or carry it out in my arms….on principle.
Its easy to grow all of those things and make your own bread!
Some people just don’t have the times nor the storage capability. Also I find that there is a lot of waste when I buy everything fresh.
Everybody is a victim of the engineered high food costs.
Buying rolls or baked bread is not “cooking from scratch”.
I figure the fresh baked “home made” bread we bake, costs us around $1.25-$1.50/ loaf.
Research “Aquaponics” a system which can be sized from tabletop to balcony to backyard, as a system for growing your own fresh produce, and fish.
An initial investment today, which lowers your monthly costs going forward.
On top of that he has 8 people in his family. We cook all our meals, there is 4 of us and our bill is usually around $139. That’s in DC just this week.
Fresh “organic” fruits and vegetables are outrageous no matter where the shoppers reside.
What’s more outrageous are the prices of “good dirt” and fertilizers to grow your own!!
When it first appeared on the net, they did not get much sympathy given the Trader Joe is known for high prices…and being ‘upscale’…comments I read included many referrals to Wally World, for lower prices.
It’s expensive if you buy convenience store meals pre-prepped, lol. Inflation is horrible, but why on Earth would you grocery shop that way?
For a large family for a week and a half, $450 would buy:
20lbs rice
20 whole chickens
20 lbs ground beef
40 lbs veggies
10 lbs lunch meat
12 loaves of bread
mayo, mustard
6 filet steaks for the nice meal
and you’d have enough left over to fill your tank and pocket $100.
I’d like to see the break down on what you’re paying for beef chicken and random vegetables.
1 single red bell pepper is $1.48 at Walmart. People should grow their own. Its really easy to grow sweet peppers

If you can freeze or store all that food and have the time and space and equipment to cook from scratch, and also know that you will have the number of people at home to consume all that food before it goes bad, yes, it’s cheaper.
Except some people are living from paycheck to paycheck and have to buy what is cheaper in the short run.
Why criticize people who are having a hard enough time already?
It’s one thing to offer helpful hints on saving money, it’s quite another to knock people for not living the way you think is best for them.
While economies of scale are ONE way to economise, they are certainly not the only way.
Those who are living “paycheck to paycheck” are largely caught up in a trap of their own making, I e. experiencing the (usually) inevitable results of previous decisions or lifestyle choices.
In order to break out of the trap they find themselves in, they need to rethink those decisions/choices, and develop a plan which, over time will put them in a different place.
At one time, I was a ‘paycheck to paycheck’ type, and in order to break out of that trap, the first and most difficult challenge was in adjusting my THINKING, and a big part of that was to stop making excuses for why I couldn’t change.

How is $444 for 8 people for 10 days “insane”? Sounds dirt cheap. 3 meals each means 24 a day for 10 days, so 240 meals and so $1.85 per meal. That’s “insane”?
How is it even possible to get a meal for $1.85? I spend 5x that, though only eat ~ 1.5 meals a day. To achieve something as low as $1.85 per meal, I would be expecting the food to be mostly pesticide and sugar. No wonder so many people have chronic medical conditions.
Cucumbers? Really? If it weren’t for the pickle, they are a nonsense food, the requirements to consume them far exceeding their nutritional value

Chandan Dasireddy, 24; Dwaraka Gunda, 31; Santhosh Katkoori, 31 — all of Melissa, Texas — and Anil Male, 37, of Prosper were arrested in March and charged with human trafficking.
Police said the women were forced to work for Katkoori and several programming shell companies owned by him and his wife, Gunda.
A search of the home revealed several laptops, cell phones, printers and fraudulent documents.

The group rummaged through the refrigerated section and shelves, smashing items and stuffing shopping baskets with stolen goods.
The owner of the store told Fox News that they group caused about $100,000 in damage and that, in the process, they threatened two employees.
He said it took “nine hours” for police to respond to the incident, telling Fox News: “This is the hardest thing you could ever go through … especially if you’ve been put in sweat and tears day in and day out.”
Oakland Police offered up a different story, telling Fox officers responded within 90 minutes of the incident, which took place at 4AM.
The owner estimated that approximately 70 people connected to a nearby illegal sideshow gathering forced their way into the store, which was open with window-only service at the time.
He concluded: “They got away with it. They were here for 40 minutes. You could tear a whole city down in 40 minutes. Every time I think about it, the more it hurts.”

now have to do test on heart……months of jumping thru hoops for VA………..in very last minute God gave one of the team insight into my heart…..it all came out of the blue had they cut me that day would have been disater…
in fact proof God was watching over me……………….i felt disgusted i would not get the surgery as my pain is great…..but so thankful they saw theheart problem just before putting me under..

The last time I was getting a checkup at the VA they were drawing blood when my heart stopped and I woke up in the ER. I went home that day and haven’t been back to any medical facility since. How do I know a medical person won’t give me a vaccine I don’t want?

My uncle did that. They thought he was going to have to have a pacemaker. Pacemaker dr nixed the pacemaker and they shocked him back into time. He later had surgery and is doing fine.

FYI I had a heart ablation 12 years ago and that got rid of my afib. Since then I have had afib on rare occasions and since I stopped drinking I’ve never had it Praise the Lord! If you drink alcohol stop immediately is my advice it’s an afib trigger. I’m on Flecainide a common used antiarrhythmic drug. Best wishes and let us know what happens next! Godspeed bjorkdream!

The VA is iffy but most of us “gas”/anesthesia people would stop a surgery for a patient with new onset a fib. Might be you had a few episodes before but did not know it. The chances are there as we get older. But they need to rule out intrinsic cardiac disease-ie ischemia, and then you’ll be back on schedule. Hopefully, they’ll cardiovert you and get you back on track.
When they ream the rod in the femur for the hip replacement, studies showed that most patients get a shower of fat emboli, which may overload the heart in some. It’s a good thing you’ll get an echocardiogram of the heart now and see how your heart functions.
According to St. Paul in Romans, all things work for good for those who love God and live according to His purpose, something like that, I’m paraphrasing. So you’re in His hands.

When Fractal started publishing videos of the “voters living in places without bedrooms,” we received emails – leading to phone calls, sometimes meetings, several times testimony under oath with one of the field teams.
Those emails were from Postal Service mail carriers.
That is the postman, the person with the large leather bag, filled with junk mail, your dog probably loves.
Several carriers told us they collected undeliverable mail-in ballots, in 2020 and 2022 and returned them to the central office. Carriers were told to put these ballots in a special bin. They testified these were given to Leftist groups.
There were enough emails, from different states, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan come to mind, indicating organization.
We cannot stop Post Office employees giving undeliverable ballots to Leftists. Neither can you.
We can, and will, in 2024, stop many of these undeliverable ballots from going to ineligible addresses – with the Undeliverable Ballot Database, keeping them out of the grasp of the Post Office.
Some election scams are more subtle – and one only discovers them long after the horse departed the barn.
The Wisconsin team interviewed Postal Service workers – as opposed to mail carriers. They met with whistle-blowers who worked in the central sorting facilities. Here’s what they learned.
