United States military bases in Italy, Germany, Bulgaria and Romania have been put on high alert with a potential terrorist related threat event eminent. Given the nature of domestic USA politics, in combination with the catastrophic results about to come from France, the timing of some form of Intelligence Community (IC) event would make sense.
The IC has two wings, DHS (domestically) and CIA (internationally). Distracting people away from the problems the IC faces within the Joe Biden collapse would be a paramount objective this upcoming week.
DHS goals – domestically (borders etc) – could be tripped up by Biden trouble, and CIA goals – internationally (Ukraine etc) – could be tripped up by Biden trouble.
If there was a created crisis (ie. false flag) in the EU, whatever it is would likely involve framing something to either: (a) give the appearance of Russia triggering the event; or (b) create something that draws out a response from Russia.
EUROPE – Several U.S. military bases across Europe were put on a heightened state of alert over the weekend, with the level of force protection raised to its second-highest state amid concerns that a terrorist attack could target U.S. military personnel or facilities, according to two U.S. officials.
The bases, including the U.S. Army garrison in Stuttgart, Germany where U.S. European Command is headquartered, raised their alert level to Force Protection Condition “Charlie” on Sunday, the officials said.
That status “applies when an incident occurs or intelligence is received indicating some form of terrorist action or targeting against personnel or facilities is likely,” according to the U.S. Army.
One of the U.S. officials, who is stationed at a base in Europe, told CNN they haven’t seen this threat level “in at least 10 years,” and said it usually means the military has received an “active-reliable threat.”
Asked about the shift, a spokesperson for U.S. European Command, Cdr. Dan Day, declined to comment on specific force protection levels. But he told CNN that USEUCOM is “constantly assessing a variety of factors that play into the safety of U.S. military community abroad. As part of that effort, we often times take additional steps to ensure the safety of our service members. Just watched an interesting video on You Tube–American Coups. Starts with the government coup of the leader of Hawaii in the 1800’s. A Mr. Dole was moved in to protect American interests (over Hawaiian interests) for sugar can and pineapples (Ha, Mr. Dole). Most of American Coups were about protecting or advancing American business interests for profit. See Central American– bananas. Panama, for the Panama Canal. When stationed in S.E. Asia during the Vietnam Conflict, all the IC stations surrounding Vietnam were Always on an alert status.. It was mostly a yellow alert that would be 3 levels below a Red Alert. In 18 months over there, I never saw a time when we were NOT on alert! Yellow looked relatively a minor alert. When we went Red, it was a whole different ballgame! We were not a physical threat to anyone, so it was business as usual most all the time. We were a listening post, not an actual force type post. What was odd was that if we were in jeopardy of being over run, we were high priority to get bombed by our own military, rather than give up security in any event to the enemy. If they would offer me $10K tax free to re-enlist, I would have taken it. It was not tax free at the time. Ten grand back in the early 70’s was a pile of money tax free! But it never happened, so I became a civilian again, LOL! Within 15 years, the ASA (Army Security Agency) was disbanded. I would have looked into becoming a Warrant Officer. If it was to be, it would’ve been. In any event, I would do it all over again given the chance! My service was a good 3 year tour! In the end, I was gifted a year early out from my 4 year enlistment.
I spent 18mos in VN as a civilian, tactical troposcatter. The popular expressions at the time were, “What did you do in the war, daddy? Well, son, I burned shit and filled sandbags.” AND “Most of the guys here are on all-expense-paid vacation. Only about 1% (Mostly LLRPs) are actually prosecuting the ‘war’ “. Even during Tet I never felt the need to draw my weapons in a defensive posture. In relative terms, the ‘war’ seemed distant. Plus, I was only 26 and felt bulletproof, so that probably had something to do with my recollection of events.

US military bases in Europe have been put on “Charlie” status due to intelligence of an imminent strike. Attack can take many forms.
At the headquarters of the US European Command in Stuttgart, the Army Guard issued a community-wide warning on Sunday that the force’s protection threat level was raised to “Charlie” status until further notice.
Similar instructions were sent to other bases in Germany, including the Army’s Rheinland-Pfalz and Ramstein Air Base, which together make up the largest US military community abroad.
The Rheinland-Pfalz guard alert includes the Baumholder facility as well as remote facilities in Romania and Bulgaria.
Aviano Air Base in Italy also raised its status level to Charlie and other facilities in Italy introduced enhanced security measures.
A US official stationed at a base in Europe told CNN they haven’t seen the alert level raised in Charlie “for at least 10 years”, arguing that such a move likely means the military has received an “actively credible threat”.
“NATO fears that Russia has mined critical maritime infrastructure, at least in the North Sea. It is noted that a few days ago Russian analysts urged the country’s Army to “cut in two” Europe and the USA by striking the submarine cables.
However, a little while ago the supreme religious leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, made statements on X (formerly Twitter), expressing himself as follows:
“The US has bases all over the world. In such a situation, any movement, any action and any revolution that addresses only its own internal environment and neglects international developments will surely suffer a blow”.
It is very difficult to assess where the threats are coming from, since the US in its diplomatic posture has assembled fronts consisting of countries such as Russia, Iran and China. This particular axis follows the “anti-US” doctrine at present, that is, whatever the US does, this particular axis does the exact opposite, since it has judged that state and transnational interests are better served this way.
In any other case, as in the years preceding the war in Ukraine, Russia would rather have taken measures to soften the situation in the Middle East, as a mediator with influence in Iran.
Now it simply applies “if the US chooses Israel, we support Iran and its military proxies in the region”. The diplomatic quagmire in question surpasses in size and collateral damage even the dark ages of President Bush Jr. and his war on terror.

I don’t think we will see a terror attack on any of these bases, but rather a tactical military response from Russia due to some further escalation by U.S. forces. Romania would probably get hit the hardest due to direct participation in war, Stuttgart will likely be targeted in order to shutdown or slow EUCOM response.
The Russians have been extremely measured in their responses and reluctant to escalate the conflict. In the context that one mistake by anyone could lead to thermo nuclear war it is logical. We are spread so widely across the globe, with so many vulnerable targets, a Russian response through a third party proxy that has plausible deniabilty outside Europe is also likely. Russia is careful to maintain their image of seeking peace and stability to the countries not in NATO or under US hegemony. They could care less what we and the EU perceive, that ship has long sailed.
