I have a theory and not sure if it has been talked about here yet. But I think the reason why Joe is resisting stepping down is because he know that in order to pull off a switch, they need his blessing. They need him to come out at the convention and say that he is stepping down “for the good of the country.” But, of course, Joe Biden only does what’s for the best for Joe Biden. And in this case, he knows what he’s got and he ain’t giving it up without a deal. No jail for Hunter. No jail for him. No jail for his brother. Etc… Probably stacks and stacks of clean 100’s as well. Joe may be suffering from dementia, but he’s not stupid. He knows he holds the cards and he’s playing them right back at them.

That is a big question. I know my feelings is the whole framework of justice in the U.S. is highly flawed. We saw it with the AGs in President Trumps administration. They hid information that was beneficial to President Trump, they allowed investigations and even impeachment to proceed with no support. Barr would not allow investigations into 2020 election corruption.
Then since President left office many of his legal supporters were taken to court and convicted of something, forced to agree to plea deals and some disbarred. Our legal system and many corrupt courts are firmly in the hands of the left. There seems to be no recourse other than appeal to other corrupt courts that slow walk the process.
There seems to be no way to get fast resolution of corruption in our legal system if you are not with the left. I bet judge Sullivan is still pursuing Michael Flynn since I think he never let the case go even after the case was dropped.
Seems like the legal system is in full control and mostly aligns with the left.
President Trump can not do his jobs ie implement his detailed plans UNLESS each of us; you and I, do our jobs first.

I think he’s talking about the bureaucracy (i.e. executive agencies) “writing laws” via their regulations and rulings – the same reason that SC killed the deference standard (which doesn’t stop the practice, but simply makes it possible for the courts to say no – that’s beyond your purview). Unfortunately he used the term “other lawmakers” instead of being specific about whom he was talking about. YMMV.
