Third, CNN the exclusive media outlet for the debate, is notorious for structuring political attacks against President Trump. Biden has been in dress rehearsals and training for the optics and soundbites for several weeks. Knowing CNN gave prior debate questions to Hillary Clinton in advance during the 2016 primary, we can anticipate CNN working hand in glove with the Biden campaign. I’m watching on sky nrws in Australia. Trump is doing great. Biden is hard to understand he doesn’t look good face rigid and pasty and slurring his words and his eyes odd.

Personally, I never thought it was a mistake because I had a good idea of the outcome. My feeling was always that Trump showed Biden far too much deference by agreeing to all of his terms. I objected to that on principle.
But tactically, having agreed to all of Biden’s preconditions, and still coming out on top as the one who seemed most presidential will only strengthen Trump. Trump looked like the President of the United States, Biden looked like an angry, petty, silly old man. Trump was restrained and in control, Biden was an annoyed fussbudget from the wrong side of the tracks. Those are visuals tailor made to boost Trump’s support and dampen the same for Biden.
