I didn’t, for three years. No threats, no tax sale, closest thing I got to a forced sale was a trustee sale by the bank I hadn’t also paid for three years that my lawyer stopped three times. Sold the place for far more post-Covid than I was offered during Covid after I closed my business in protest. Didn’t pay income taxes either and, shocker, all the back interest and property taxes so hit my capital gain that it was minimal too, barely a month’s SS income.

I live in Australia. We had a terrible time during Covid and the State that led the way with its draconian ways, was Victoria, the other states followed. What we did have though was a great fighting force of ordinary people, led by some tremendous ordinary people and their fighting spirit managed to turn the tide. I think “don’t preach to the choir” is one of the worst pieces of advice there is. We are the choir, and we need to be preached to. Otherwise, why would we spend time at this site?

I have been on a variety of staff positions in churches large and small over many decades, including director of music. It was a given that the choir would be in place on Sunday mornings….and it would have been ludicrous for any choir member to object to hearing the sermon because they are in the choir.
That’s one of those nonsense sayings that gains traction over time and is repeatedly used in a way that makes no sense in the real world.

Very early on in the pandemic when the number of infected was still in the three digits and Trump was saying “The number (of infections) are going down” Tucker drove to Mar-a-Lago to tell Trump that he needed to take the pandemic seriously. Tucker was right!
Taking it seriously didn’t entail shutting down the economy or forced injection of experimental drugs. It meant listening to the enlightened voices at the time that had been silenced. It meant listening to the doctors who advocated for early treatments that have been proven effective and the doctors advised against ventilators and lethal treatments like Remdesevir. Unfortunately, Trump never listened to saner voices.
Tucker was right at the time. Trump’s early approach to the pandemic was too flippant and he needed to get serious.

Yes, Tucker said “There may well be….benefits” *may* being the operative word. At the time that is what all the experts were telling us. After it became apparent that the “vaccine” did not prevent COVID-19 infections the new fallback position became: “Well it helps lower severity and hospitalizations“.
If asked about his comments today I suspect Tucker would say that while he allowed at the time that the experimental drugs *may* have been effective in reducing severity and hospitalization it turns out the experts were wrong.
I like how you cherry-pick things you like and discard the rest in order to fit your world views of things that don’t exist but you’d really like them to fit.
Here’s what he said after the word “may.” Notice how the word “may” loses its power:

However, when a government punishes those who do good and rewards those who do evil, when it calls good evil and evil good, it is no longer a servant of God. It needs to be called to repent or face the judgement of God. Perhaps part of the problem is that so many churches no longer preach on the justice and judgement of God. Where are the preachers echoing the words of Jonathan Edwards who fearlessly preached the sermon “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God“?

During this past winter I reread Sinners In the Hands of an Angry God. I recommend it.
One important fact the author presents is this: How can we be salt and light, how can we be a curb to sinful government (per the Law (a curb, a guide, and a mirror) if we hide our light due to a misunderstanding of Scripture?
Not many Christians know that the author of the The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich (perhaps unwittingly) passed along a FALSE understanding of Martin Luther’s teaching on civil disobedience — complete submission was Shirer’s view of what Luther taught. But Shirer was influenced by several sources about Luther’s work on the subject. (I’ll have to pick this up later, after I find my resources, hidden at present among my “working” papers. (My library is a mess.)
John Calvin concluded his Institutes of the Christian Religion with a chapter on Civil Government and the importance of obedience, spelling this out as including obeying public proclamations, paying taxes, undertaking public offices and burdens which pertain to the common defence. However, in the final section he clearly states Obedience to man must not become disobedience to God. Part of the loyalty to God is to publicly call out governments and remind them of their responsibility and warn of judgement.
People should read Luther and Calvin before they simply believe what critics say about them. The Large Catechism of Luther is a good place to start. It is interesting that when looking at the fifth commandment (Luther fourth) he attributes bad governments in part to the failure of parents: “If we want capable and qualified people for both the civil and spiritual realms, we really must spare no effort, time and expense in teaching and educating our children to serve God and the world.” This is why we should also be calling out governments for their harm to real marriage and the family.

I hold the white, Christian world to a higher standard. We were blessed by God and He was driven out of our society. God blessed us in so many ways that we were able to raise our standard of living, education of the population, culture, and treatment of each other out of peasant, serf, or caste system ages.
We are all created in God’s image and our white, Christian ideals raised humanity to levels not seen before.

Had and will continue to have reservations about Carlson but he was absolutely on point in this presentation.
Of course the video cuts off at the end during the most important part speaking on voter/election fraud. Ironically right at the moment Tucker was talking about not being quiet about exposing it. I was already suspicious as to why someone was even allowed to ask him about that topic.
