In many columns and pages, you have chronicled the multiple failure points of Senator Rubio…his service within the corrupted Intelligence committee, and his non-MAGA compromises. I fear this could become another massive moment of fatally poor judgement.”
The direct issue of the vice presidential pick of Donald Trump is a fun topic often discussed, because it can easily engage everyone.
The issue of Rubio, or ‘fill_in_the_blank‘, is not really that important to me; and before your jaw opens, I’ll explain why.
My personal preference is Dr. Ben Carson, for all the reasons I have previously mentioned {GO DEEP}. In this election, GOOD is going head-to-head against EVIL.
When I say GOOD -vs- EVIL, let me give context. These are the stakes.
Given the nature of potential nuclear weapon use, three simultaneous global conflicts (likely 4 with Taiwan), a looming World War III, hundreds of thousands (perhaps millions) of slaughtered people, the likely elimination of the dollar as the global reserve currency for around half the world, a dollar-based central bank digital currency created by the United States Treasury if Biden wins, the catastrophic consequences in the lives of ordinary Americans, and essentially the end of projected USA power and the economic security that goes with it, there may not be a familiar tomorrow if the election goes the wrong way. With that in mind, the lowest possible consideration in my mind is 2028.
Next up, put this thinking cream into your coffee as we sip through the thought processes.
They crossed the Rubicon in 2020 with 51 high ranking Gov Intel members purposefully and specifically lying to the public. Does everyone realize the scale of that, and what it meant when they took that position on such an openly visible lie right to our faces, using our highest-ranking government intelligence members? They don’t exactly come back from that; it was an all-in position…. and they did it. What does that stuff in 2020 tell you about 2024?
What they will do, based on what they have already done, is the stuff we should be thinking about.
Look at what they have done.
This doesn’t even touch on the forced vaccination and COVID madness where people literally stood outside of buildings while their husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, grandparents and children died alone, ALONE, because government people – the type who torture beagles for a living – said that isolation was what we needed to do…. because that was part of the predicate for manipulating an election.
Lawfare? Heck, that’s the least dangerous poison arrow in their death to the republic quiver.
That’s the 2024 context.
So back to the VP possibility and Marco Rubio.
I don’t have any idea who President Donald Trump will select. However, I can see him liking Senator Rubio, because Rubio is articulate, clean, relatively young, bilingual, has a family, is polite and well mannered, is cultured, is seemingly not in trouble, and he gives a good impression when he walks into the room and engages the guests. Rubio outwardly checks boxes that make him appear like a safe legacy consideration.
The downside is that Rubio is a manipulative liar, untrustworthy, speaks with forked tongue, fulfills the role of Brutus, or the “scorpion” perfectly, and seemingly has done stuff early on in his life that may have created the origination compromise. Beyond all that, the cherry on the corruption cake is his relationship with the Intelligence Community. Any SSCI Vice-Chair who can sit with SSCI Chairman Mark Warner as a “friend across the aisle,” can never, not for a single moment, be trusted. It’s just the reality of it.
That said, I genuinely don’t care who Trump selects as vice president. I have my preference (Carson), but I’m situationally ambivalent to the issue, because I view my preference for Trump’s mission as something totally different than most.
WE THE PEOPLE need to take back the power from our government. I want President Trump to operate every lever from the limited office of the presidency to give us the tools to take back that power. WE need to be the vice president, and WE need to be the force in 2028 that determines how the deconstruction of our oppression continues.
President Donald J. Trump is our weapon, our wrecking ball to start this MAGA process. We the People are the entities who need to support Trump, while keeping him fueled and fearless as he does it. Depending on how much deconstruction demolition Trump is able to achieve, the next phase of operational leadership will need a different skillset.
Last point – I don’t believe that President Donald Trump has “massively failed” at anything. I’m not going to backbite, judge or criticize the man in the arena, because he wears a different sandal or chooses a different weapon to fight the enemy. Look around, he’s all alone.

I said in 2015, if Donald Trump showed up to the August Fox debate in five-inch heels, a Carmen Miranda hat and started twerking the podium of Jeb Bush, I would vote for him even harder. …. Because Trump was the only one different than the set of characters organized to help Jeb.
President Trump isn’t the cause of the GOP problems; President Trump is the result of the GOP problems. President Trump is our weapon. From that perspective, there is no alternative. And yes, he is the ONLY alternative. Whether he makes mistakes or not is a moot point against the reality of him being the only alternative to a completely corrupt system. Think about it.
There are quite enough high-horse riders and keyboard warriors who do not understand the DC system criticizing Trump. They don’t need my help. I cheer our glorious bastard every day, because every ounce of his thinking and effort comes from a place of good intention. I do not doubt this fallible, flawed and simultaneously decent, strong, purposeful and resilient man.
Beyond 2024, Good is going to have to battle Evil, and at the same time our nation will need stability, optimism and a resurgence of faith. In short, no one is winning this political war without putting God, righteousness and prayer at the forefront, as the DC tables are overturned.
When it gets ugly, and it will get extremely ugly, something just inherently tells me, we will need Ben Carson.
It seems the New York Times wants President Trump to nominate Sen. Marco Rubio as his running mate. That should rule him out. These days that paper has to stretch to line a birdcage.
For obvious reasons, Trump’s VP should not be someone who is aligned with the rinos. Rubio or Tim Scott at VP would be inviting intervention from a corrupt deep state and further put Trump in harms way.
The advantage of Carson is having a calm, respected, and morally centered voice in a divided nation, which would be instrumental with policy implementation. Additionally he would peel away a percentage of the black vote.
The advantage of Lake is she appeals to the base, does not back down, would be able to carry on Trumps policies for an additional 8 years.
The votes of the base are not enough to win the swing voters in the swing states. Trump needs the swing voters to get to 270.
Carson is 72 years old right now. He’d be 76 in 2028, and hoping to run for two terms on his own?
Rinos are not bringing the swing voters. Trump is.
And how does Ben Carson bring in the swing voters in the swing counties of Montgomery, Chester, Delaware and Bucks in PA, for example? Those are the must-win suburban counties around Philadelphia. How does Carson help win those?
I lived in the Philly area for 40+ years. Tell me how to win the swing voters in those counties.

Carson has been loyal to Trump. We need Rubio to stay in his Senate seat.

I disagree, Carson will win more Independent voters than any other candidate mentioned. Yes he is conservative, but he is the opposite of Trump in demeanor and he still carries a big stick of anti-establishment conservatism.

MAGA has a deep bench that, if we do things right, will only get deeper. If Ben Carson is not right for President in 2028 it will not be in any way difficult to choose someone else.
Think of how much destruction has been caused just in the last three and a half years.
What matters is who do we have at the helm and as backup for the next four years as the consequences of the Biden disaster come due.
We need a firm steady hand with admin experience, nerves of steel and loyalty to this country.
I agree Dr. Carson is the best choice for backing President Trump up the next four years. If we’re mostly through the storm by 2028 then he might also be the best choice for calm and sense of return to normalcy.
If not, then Kari Lake will have four years as a Senator under her belt and newer Governors will have records they can run on.
I am presently more concerned that the idiots in charge, having failed to remove President Trump from the ballot nor to gin up sufficient panic for Pandemic 2.0, are going to get us into a shooting war before the election.
The conservative victories in the EU elections likely have them even more concerned that their window is closing on being able to get a war going.
Basically, I think it likely we’ll need very stable geniuses from top to bottom just to keep things from spiraling into chaos in 2025… much less worrying about 2028.
One of the arguments for him is precisely that he wouldn’t start running for President the minute he became VP.
The result would be his sole focus on the tasks at hand.

Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barret may not be in Thomas or Alito’s class, but they’re eons better than what the Dems would have put through.
Very much agree, we need the White House AND the Senate AND we need to build a real grip on the House that PDJT can whip and browbeat into compliance. We will need ALL of that to just start making a dent in eradicating the DS devil worshippers.

Here in Pinal County Arizona, we had an amazing sheriff Mark Lamb – a cut above. He is very popular. He resigned his position to run for Senator; competing with Kari for that honor. ‘Couldn’t understand why he essentially took himself off the chessboard. Obviously Kari is very popular her in Arizona.
Maybe they know something we don’t. Just thinking out loud…Perhaps Kari is the VP, and we pick up a Senate seat with Sheriff Lamb.

Personally, I am skeptical of Lake following her seeming awe of De Santis and she was perhaps unknowingly being used to help his 2024 aspirations along – too rah-rah-rah about De Santis (this was during a rally with Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA where DeSantis made an appearance).
IF Lake was unknowingly being used to generate support for DeSantis, then I think she is a weak link – if was knowingly helping DeSantis to ultimately prevail over Trump for 2024, even worse but not good either way. I know much was made of her story about being offered to sit out for a price, which then actually raises my suspicions further that that may have been an effort to quell uncertainty about her.

I personally think that Carson is “the real deal” for these trying times. Not outrageous, not in the headlines…but still there and real…he doesn’t say too much right now…so we shall see.
While I think Rubio would be a mistake as the VP pick he wouldn’t be as big a mistake as picking Hailey. Rubio, IMHO, would be Pence on steroids. Rubio is plugged into the intel community and would attack Trump from the inside much worse than he does now. I want the VP, (the person who will be the presumable GOP candidate in 2028) to be someone who will sustain the progress MAGA makes in 2024-28 and NOT allow regression.
We need to salt the Earth around Washington DC.
First of all, there’s an Amendment which states both candidates cannot be from the same State.
Secondly, Rubio ran and win with the backing of the Tea Party, then turned on them (us).

I suppose much of the backlash is a result of seeing all the people Trump surrounded himself with in 2016, who, after 2020, publicly advised that they had purposefully misled him with their advice and opinions. And while it is lovely to indicate that ‘We the People’ are the entities to keep him fearless and fueled’ it would also be helpful if he had some support (like a vice president) to also aid in that ‘fueling’.
It would also be helpful if his vice president was such that the movement could continue into 2028, with his election, rather than reverting back to the criminality we have seen since 2020.
I think Devin Nunes would be the best choice. He has been fighting the MAGA fight for eight years now, and is standing right by President Trump’s side. He is also experienced in the ways of Washington and Congress as practically no one else is. He also comes from the private sector–in California, no less!
Devin Nunes has won elections and knows how to campaign. He could carry on the MAGA policies in 2028 and beyond. Who could do it better?

My biggest fear about Trump’s next administration is he will hire all the wrong people like he did the last time.

Just my two cents….the ONE thing that I would consider most, in his choice for candidate, would be for that candidate to take that VP opportunity and carry on that strength, courage, and determination with the same bold arrogance into the next term. The next VP has to be fearless, and able to discern the differences between the DC bubble and the rest of America, and understand that it IS a battle between good and evil and the very existence of our Republic. It can’t be someone from within to help “navigate” the system. If President Trump surrounds his inner circle (constitutional attorneys, advisors…) with the right MAGA folks, I would suspect more success than his last term with the hope it would keep moving forward with his successor.

For his VP I would like to see one of these three: Ken Paxton, Kari Lake, or General Michael Flynn. All are battle tested MAGA fighters. All would make our President safer, and could continue his America First movement.

I am a doctor in the Boston area and very familiar with his ground breaking career, especially separating siamese twins (my wife was a nurse at Boston Children’s Hospital who told me of hearing docs say “This is a Carson Case” because it was beyond their ability).
I do not underestimate Dr. Carson one bit, and if President Trump picks him I’d be fine with that.
My point is does he install fear in the enemy like Flynn or Paxton? I mean fear of retribution for treason. These guys have been in the battle personally. We need to break the enemy completely.
Lake was offered $ not to run so she is feared, and would have the guts to put the senate into recess so I’d rather she be there, and do just that.
Dr. Carson would be great at any position he accepts, but I would rather he clean house at NIH and FDA, where his expertise is.

I am not the most informed person for sure but, Why would you choose a running mate from the same state in which you live? Why not choose someone from a swing state or that possesses some other attractive factor to help win votes, (assuming votes still matter, of course).
I thought that was a No-No, perhaps even illegal to choose a running mate from the same state. Some of you good people please tell me if that is the case or not.
I am a hard no on Rubio. Surely to goodness Mr. Trump knows what a snake Rubio is by now.

What I see is how many choices we as MAGA have to pick from.

#1 There is going to be an election.
#2 That election is going to be semi legitimate.
#3 Trump is not going to be outright removed from the ballot, have the GOP nomination taken from him or possibly something far worse.
So in the grand scheme of things SD is obviously correct. The VP is not a critical concern right now. There are bigger things to be worried about.
My choice is Kari lake, but she’s needed in Arizona, what we don’t need is another pence, and who’s to say, if Trump picks Rubio that the swamp won’t eliminate Trump, install Rubio, who will pick Haley as VP

Rubio is a red herring: his name reduces some of the pressure from the RINOs. Trump has to pick someone who can take over for MAGA if something—God forbid—happens to Trump. That person is not Ben Carson; that person is Byron Donalds.
It might make the Left think twice about threatening Trump if they think he’s going to be replaced by someone with the stones to keep on fighting them. THAT’S the role that the VP has to fill.
Personally….I see and believe that we are in a war. And because of that, and the fact that we will need an experienced and courageous lion, fighter to take on the enemy when or if something were to happen to Trump…or come 2028. I like Ben. But, I don’t know about the fight. Sometimes, especially with the ENEMY we are up against, you can’t be polite, calm and peaceful. Sometimes you have to roar like the lion. Like Trump does. I think we need someone who knows the ENEMY and knows how to fight them. And….has experienced them first hand and their evil. I Am for General Mike Flynn. THEY were scared to death of him in the first Trump Presidency because he knows where the bodies are…and that’s why the ENEMY targeted him. We need a fighter in this fight and no one better than a military man who knows exactly who the enemy is and what we need to do to defeat them! The enemy is within now…not outside this country. I admire Dr. Carson and believe he is a wonderful and exceptional human being. That said, we are going to need a VP that can take an elbow to the head and keep cage fighting. I just don’t see Dr. Carson as a cage fighter.
If this were a fair fight with an honorable opponent, then yes, Dr. Carson would be an excellent choice. This is not a debate with an honorable opponent, it’s a fight to the death for our country.

Personal thought – if President Trump picks Marco Rubio to be his Vice Presidential running mate that guarantees another November 22, 1963. No ifs, ands or buts regardless of the illusive promises Mr. Rubio and his handlers would provide to President Trump.
Dr. Carson is the man we need for Vice President, but then again – is there anything to turn him into another Pence? Only Heaven knows and that is what I am counting on, that
the person whom President Trump will pick to be his VP will be inspired by that Heavenly ghost or spirit, divine inspiration and a whole flank of angels too.
The danger is, if something happens to President Trump due to the deep state, swamp, evil, thinking they will control the person that steps in, to me, the real danger is that President Trump will pick someone that he thinks will scare that coven of evil enough to not have something happen to President Trump and yet the coven does it anyway and then the person that steps in is such a hard line tyrant that had kept his Napoleonic arrogance hidden so well (the Erik Princes of the world) that the things the left keeps on saying PDJT will become is the person they, in their own hubris, puts into office.

Carson is too old. He’s 72 now, and will be 76 in 2028, and 80 in 2034. Trump needs someone who can carry on MAGA.
Kari Lake has potential, but is still inexperienced as a politician. She needs to win a senate seat, and then be a possibility for some future GOP ticket.

Trump needs a balancing personality, like Dr. Carson.
Trump’s VP also needs to be someone the DS believes would be the same or worse (to DS agenda) than Trump. Kari would fit that bill but Carson does far better. Carson is 100% not for sale. The DS knows it too. And, even though he has a calm, mild demeanor, he is tough as nails and very smart.
I think Kamala was chosen as Biden’s VP to protect Biden from impeachment or worse. The prospect of a cackling incompetent (& easily bought) Kamala in the WH is enough to make most Rs and Americans think twice about impeaching Biden, which ultimately, Rs did not do even will substantial legitimate grounds to do so. With Kamala waiting in the wings as #2, what is gained?
Carson would be my choice b/c he is loyal to both America and PDJT… and he can’t be bought. We/Trump cannot tolerate another subversive like Pence turned out to be.
Re: RUBIO- I doubt that Trump is seriously considering Rubio… and HOPE that Don Jr (others on the Trump team) read CTH and know all that Sundance has revealed, in great detail, about Rubio’s involvement in the Gang of 8 orchestrated seditious plot against the sitting POTUS, DJT re: Crossfire Hurricane/Russia collusion hoax.
