1. Patriot act was/is one tool. It has been politically weaponized against Americans. That may have been the ultimate intent but it is used to protect against 9/11 terrorist attacks on US Soil. Right after Kohl’s made their initial splash in St. Louis, maybe 20 years ago, I tried shopping there. Nope, everything even then was made in China.
We live in a fairly lax but large HOA in Florida. I recently gave my 87 yr old Vietnam Veteran neighbor a Trump flag to which he promptly put on his flagpole below Old Glory. After he did so, other neighbors followed with Trump flags and signs in their own yards.
Within a day, a Polish immigrant in our neighborhood went to the HOA demanding they be removed.
He also verbally harassed my neighbor and told him in no uncertain terms that he didn’t give two shits about his four tours in Vietnam nor his 30 years of service.
In beautiful fashion, our neighborhood has come together over this.
I’ve known a few Poles and his behaviour is not common among the ones I’ve met. Most understand and respect freedom and love the USA. This one now lives in a neighborhood where he and his wife have few friends.
A decision from the HOA is due today. If he is forced to remove it, he and I will promptly be roaming every street in the HOA and documenting any pride flags and or signs that we see and will be reporting them for removal.
FL has a law that an HOA rule must be enforced fairly and equally.

Read all your HOAs governing documents. Look for restrictions and exemptions for signs and flags. Read everything, the HOA board most likely haven’t read them. And use every law to it’s fullest. It’s amazing how many complaints you could file. Make sure to go over the boards homes with a fine tooth comb.
I couldn’t live in a HOA for this very reason. I just want to be left alone. Period. Same reason I have never boarded a cruise ship. Who needs to be crowded on the high seas with all those people? Nah. Not for me.

A motion has been filed in Federal Court to obtain an injunction against the Arizona Secretary of State and Maricopa County election officials, to stop machine fraud in the coming 2024 presidential election.
The two offices have been caught lying to the Court that election software was certified and that logic and accuracy testing was properly completed.

These groups promptly shared the material with KL Legal team, which had it analysed, by an ecpert who testified,,it was all in the original trial.
If by “source code” you mean the basic programming for the machines, that was exposed in 2020, in a case involvi g an initiative to allow MJ Dispensaries.
Regarding the embedded story up above, and maracopa election authorities lieing, most people are unaware of how State election lawd were changed , when they introduced the machines.
I can’t quote the exact wording, but by statute kit says the Judges must take election officials at their word, and IF there are errors exposed st trial (in how they conducted the election) the judge must assume no INTENT on the part of the officials to defraud.
Knowing what we know now, when you look at the changes made to every States election laws, ostensibly to enable the use of voting machines, you can see they insidiously stuck in all sorts of changed yjat have nothingvto do with the machines per se, but that make it almost impossible to successfully challenge election results.
Hence, in EVERY State we are going to have to elect State legislators dedicated to changing these election laws, and they will be fighting an uphill battle, as all those already IN the legislature, having gotten their thru the corrupt system, will be fighting any efforts to clean up the system.
Its going to be a monumental task, carried out in EVERY State, against a strong river of resistance, to “simply get back to paper ballots, hand counted AT the polling location, with voter I.D. and single voting day.”
And frankly, if the same process for selecting and installing the people who count the votes is still in place (R State Party Exec Committee controlling county election officials) all that work will be for nought.
Which is why my emphasis on taking control of thatvprocess, hijacking it if you will, and using it to install a whole slate of MAGA officials, that can work togethervto cut the gordian knot.

I suck at the stock market, I research stocks to buy in companies that actually build a physical product and shows a profit and these stocks are not doing well.
Even ‘widow and orphan’ stocks are changing and no longer safe….I give AT&T as an example…

I agree on T being undervalued, but if you are patient, that is not a bad thing. I own some myself.
It’s P/E is low, dividend yield is over 6% and the government will never let them go under.
I will say I can’t stand their political and social activism though.
If you own this stock and have it dividend reinvestment, you can accumulate way more shares that you started with over a long period of time. Then when the stock goes up and you sale, it is worth a lot more by factors than had you not had it in dividend reinvestment.
Sounds like what your approach is, is called value investing, or something close to it.
Technically, it is my understanding, that is the tried and true method, provided the market is a level playing field for everyone.
I think that you don’t ‘suck’ so much, than it’s more of you’re in a gamed system.
My approach is very similar, though not exactly, as yours.
I’m up, but not nearly as those making bank on speculative, non profit producing company investors (insiders and ‘managed funds,’ )by a long shot, and by estimation, should be at least a little better.
Hopefully though, when the Big Correction comes and goes, those of us holding profit producers will be ok, particularly commodities, energy related, food related, precious metals and possibly crypto related.

Which is why I trade only in well-regarded mutual funds. I let someone else manage the day-to-day decisions for me, and they pay themselves (no fees to me …) out of a portion of their proceeds. Which they fully disclose. (They also collectively control enough money to be able to positively influence the behavior of the companies which they invest in.)

I agree on the CRE, but something ‘they’ haven’t mentioned that’s worse, is the recent news that those 63 banks in trouble are holding a staggering amount of residential mortgages from back when rates were real low.
They waited so long to dump, that if they sell off now, it will bankrupt most.
BUT, since they kept them, the gross profit from them doesn’t cover their interest expense on newer loans from the Fed and is affecting their balance sheet to reflect unrealized negative gains which lowers their reserve ratios. It is getting dangerously close to those banks having to cease operations because they won’t be able to loan.
A financial crisis potentially looming that would make 08-09 look like a walk in the park.

A draft bill for regulating cryptocurrency exports is also being developed, the deputy minister said, adding that its final version would depend on the legislation adopted by the government.
In December, the ministry suggested considering the idea of granting rights to crypto miners to export the currency as a commodity. At the time, Chebeskov compared the idea to exports of natural gas.
The global trend towards de-dollarization has intensified since Russia was cut off from the Western financial system after the outbreak of the Ukraine conflict in February 2022. At the same time, financial analysts and several Western officials have raised concerns that the freezing of Russia’s foreign assets and widely debated plans to confiscate them outright could further spur the trend.
Earlier this month, Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the US authorities of using the greenback as a “tool of combat,” which he argued is undermining global confidence in the dollar. Putin also said Moscow has never sought the “de-dollarization” of the national or international economy, but claimed that the process is “inevitable.”
The trend has been increasingly supported by members of the BRICS economic group, which have shifted towards the use of national currencies instead of using the dollar and euro in internal settlements. Since “crypto” is merely a form of barter, I don’t expect it to take the role of “national currencies,” which are legal tender.

Everything that an international trader needs, but with his and his customer’s choice as to which currency(ies) to use. The secure technology is available off-the-shelf. And, obviously, this is the way that it should always have been.
The vulnerabilities inherent in using “someone else’s currency,” which you do not control, are very obvious. The world community will make this move because it is obviously the smart thing to do.
No one need take “somebody else’s risk.” Nor pay unnecessary costs. They should have a variety of choices, all of which compete for the business. And may the best trading venue win.

It is believed that anti immigrant people in the administration see the current Covid 19 crisis and the 30 day halt of temporary visas into the US as their best opportunity to keep most of the high skilled foreign workforce from entering the US. The wages companies must pay H1B applicants are set by either the FLCDataCenter, which already are inflated when compared to wages in the private wage surveys that sometimes can be used. I just read where Hezbollah is attacking several northern towns in Israel. I find no reports anywhere in the mainstream media. It looks to me like this is a deliberate co-operative initiative on the part of Iran and our Government. Does anyone know more than that? I don’t like posting comments about something I have only read on one blog site. If this is true, it means when Israel responds with an attack on Hezbollah, it will be immediately slammed as an unprovoked attack. Therefore, if it is true, we need to be getting the word out post haste!

Roosevelt exhibited evidence of the shrewd political tactician he would become while still commissioner when members of the Jewish community asked him to ban rallies featuring an anti-Semitic German preacher, Hermann Ahlwardt. “Of course, I told them I could not — that the right of free speech must be maintained unless he incited them to riot,” Roosevelt wrote. “On thinking it over, however, it occurred to me that there was one way in which I could undo most of the mischief he was trying to do.” Roosevelt assigned several dozen Jewish police officers to protect Ahlwardt, thus “mak[ing] him ridiculous.”

President McKinley appointed Roosevelt as the assistant secretary of the Navy in 1897. Roosevelt resigned from the post a year later in order to take part in the Spanish-American War. Despite having no military experience other than a stint with the New York National Guard, Roosevelt formed the First U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment and led his men into battle against the Spanish in Cuba. His so-called Rough Riders was a diverse group that included fellow Ivy Leaguers (Roosevelt went to Harvard), Native Americans, cowboys and a significant number of Jews. The first Rough Rider to die in battle was Jacob Wilbusky, a 16-year-old Jewish cowboy from Texas.
Roosevelt’s stint fighting the Spanish would come in handy in getting out the Jewish vote the following year, when he ran for governor of the state of New York. Yiddish handbills touting Roosevelt’s candidacy flooded the Lower East Side, tying his campaign against the Spanish to avenge the Inquisition of 1492.
From his post at the statehouse, it was a short leap to the national stage, and in March 1901, Roosevelt was inaugurated as vice president to McKinley. It’s a cliché that a vice president is a heartbeat away from the presidency, but in Roosevelt’s case it proved true: Within half a year, McKinley fell victim to an assassin’s bullet. Roosevelt acceded to the White House and easily won a second term in office in 1904.
Roosevelt was the first president to appoint a Jewish cabinet member. He named Oscar Solomon Straus as secretary of commerce and labor, a position that also placed him in charge of the United States Bureau of Immigration. The German-born Straus had previously served as ambassador to the Ottoman Empire — a position he would resume under Roosevelt’s successor, William Howard Taft. Later on, Straus became president of the American Jewish Historical Society. Straus’s brothers, Nathan and Isidor Straus, co-owned the department store R. H. Macy & Co., and later on they acquired the store that would become Abraham & Straus. (Isidor Straus died tragically, as a passenger on the Titanic.) Straus’s grandson Roger W. Straus Jr., founded the publishing company Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
As president, Roosevelt issued a strong letter of rebuke to the Russian czar in 1903 after the murder of 49 Jews in the Kishinev pogrom. Pogroms
like Kishinev prompted waves of Jewish immigration to the United States from Eastern Europe and Russia, a situation not welcome by everyone. Roosevelt, however, resisted efforts to stem the tide. He opposed labeling Jews as a separate race on their passports, saying, “I should no more have a man entered on a passport as a Hebrew than as an Episcopalian, or a Baptist, or a Roman Catholic.” He went on: “There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad.” Words that resound with great impact today.
Roosevelt won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1906 for his role in the mediation of the Russo-Japanese War; he contributed a portion of his prize money to the National Jewish Welfare Board. In 1918, shortly after the Balfour Declaration, which favored establishing a national home for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel, Roosevelt wrote, “It seems to me that it is entirely proper to start a Zionist state around Jerusalem,” suggesting that peace would happen only if Jews were given Palestine.
In what remains something of a mystery to this day, Roosevelt kept two menorahs at Sagamore Hill. A gift from Sarah Bancroft Leavitt, who was not Jewish, the seven-branched candelabras are Jewish symbols referencing those used in the ancient Temple in Jerusalem.
As for those cute, furry little eponymous bears, Brooklyn candy-store owner Morris Michtom was inspired by a cartoon of Roosevelt refusing to gun down a bear that his hunting partners had tied to a tree after five unsuccessful days of hunting. His wife, Rose Michtom, sewed the bear overnight, and they placed it in the shop window with the label “Teddy’s bear.” By the end of the day, Michtom had orders for a dozen more. Born in Russia in 1870, Michtom had come to America at age 17; he wanted to make certain that the president would not be insulted, so he sent the original doll (which is now on display in the Smithsonian) as a gift to the Roosevelt children, with a note asking for permission to call it “Teddy’s Bear.” Permission was granted, and the bears sold so quickly that the Michtoms closed their candy store and founded the Ideal Novelty and Toy Company, which mass-produced the bears into the 1970s. The Michtoms shared the financial windfall from the bears with the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, the Jewish National Fund and other similar organizations.

Teddy was so great and good for America that he created the ultra liberal Progressive Party in 1912 to split the vote over his former comrade, Taft who opposed Bankster interests, in the 1912 election that ushered in Wilson and the Bankster manipulations of the 16th and 17th Amendments and the Federal Reserve Act, all passed subsequently around 1913.
And those events were conspired on during Teddy’s term circa 1910 in Jekyll Island by a bunch of NY and foreign interests that Teddy was connected to.
So much for Teddy’s greatness.
