Look, my husband suffered from the same ailments. He did what he needed to do whenever he needed to do it regardless of where he was. He could not control himself, his bladder or his intestines. There is no doubt about that. I cleaned up after him regularly. I threw bedclothes out because that was the best way to handle it.
We were married for 47 years. Alzheimer’s can cause a loss of control of everything. I loved him dearly so never lost my temper with him and kept him at home with me because I couldn’t see subjecting him to the humiliation.
