According to media reports, Pershing Square Capital Management founder Bill Ackman is preparing to back Donald Trump in the 2024 election {LINK}. Bill Ackman is the Wall Street money guy backstopping Elon Musk, and Ackman created the financial vehicle to take the X-Platform back to the public market (unused mechanism).
To wit, Elon Musk is reportedly in frequent communication with President Trump {LINK} potentially now as an advisor to the campaign:
“As recently as two years ago, Trump and Musk were publicly trading insults. But in recent months, the two men are developing a friendly rapport and talk on the phone several times a month as the election nears, the people familiar with their talks said. The pair have held discussions on immigration, technology and science, including the U.S. Space Force. Elon Musk (Tesla) does not want tariffs against Chinese electric vehicles. Axios is reporting that Musk plans to host an X-Platform townhall event with President Trump {LINK}. As the billionaire classes choose sides, Mark Cuban is aligned with the multinationals and Biden; meanwhile, Musk and Ackman now appear to be aligning with Trump.
JD Vance and Vivek Ramaswamy were college roommates. Both Vance and Ramaswamy were financially backed by Peter Thiel. Thiel and Musk (now with Ackman, Vance and Ramaswamy) seemingly run in the same tribal circles.
Curiously, this grouping who seemingly support cryptocurrency, along with a few others who do not openly support the Hamas faction of U.S financial interests, are moving deeper into the America-First Trump orbit. The question of their motive remains. Do they support the MAGA agenda, or are they worming their way into position in order to undermine it?

I read Hillbilly Elegy several years ago – somewhat reluctantly, I admit, but was immediately drawn into his story, for the same reason that Jim Webb’s “Born Fighting” struck a chord in me. My mother’s family, who came from Ireland in the 1750s, settled in that same area of Appalachia, and faced many of the same struggles that Vance described in his book.

Vance makes little sense to me as a VP. Trump isn’t going to pick a MAGA Senator from a state with a RINO Governor like DeWine, who would appoint himself or another RINO to take Vance’s seat. Ohio is already solid Trump and Vance is solid MAGA so no electoral help either. He’s loyal but that has its limits.

An economic crash will be triggered, and several in the know will make money on the way down. President Trump will be elected again, and promptly he will be blamed. I think a small number of individuals in the know will succeed in shorting the U.S. dollar, the T-Bill market. Everyone else will be thrown under the bus. Rising interest rates and inflation are the precursors, setting this scenario up. The economists have been warning about the unsustainable debt for years, and that is the bubble that will be popped.
The Democrats will be happy, losing an election, if they can get rich on the way out. Some Republicans too. Notice that every eight years, there is some kind of crash associated with elections where the parties play trading places. I suppose we will see the first trillionaires appear in 2025. Everyone else will be in the poorhouse.
Wall Street took notice when all those ESG investment funds became a financial disaster. They saw Bud Light/AB, Target, Disney and many other stocks get crushed by going woke. They see there is no money in wokeness. There is huge money in MAGA. Wall Street follows money.

They are going to put him jail before the GOP convention and select either Haley or DeSantis to replace him. They will lose of course and Biden gets a second term.
If the republicans dump Trump at the convention it will be the end of the republican party, and it will go down in history as one of President Trumps greatest accomplishments. Generations of Americans will thank him for it, starting with this one.

Imagine if Trump didn’t have anyone interested in backing him?? All of them seem like decent people. Besides, alliances are not set in stone, they evolve as people discover each other.
I think the reason why we always miss the football is partly because we are so desperate for high profile heroes to represent us and to go to the mat for our cause. We are willing to block-out pesky little inconvenient facts and ignore or forgive the past so easily. You are forced to give them part of YOUR money (=taxes) which ultimately means you give them part of your time/life, behave yourself as they wish (otherwise they force you to give them part (or all) of your money, or EVEN they take away your liberty by force). Trump’s one weakness (which I pray he’s cured) from his First term is unknowingly placing traitors and Swamp operatives within his operations as President. If he gains the office, I pray he’s learned enough about DC to hand-pick those who are around him and then double-check those every month. Musk is an unknown, keep him at a distance, even if that. Trust no one. 95% of Washington, corporate America, and other countries want Trump neutralized (no need to elaborate). Approach DC (and everything else) as an occupied region – Not occupied by friends or allies. As Reagan said “Trust – but verify.”
I’ve posted this before. When you leave the private sector to join the govt you are forced to sell stock so you’re no longer, in theory, conflicted (wink wink). So the govt has decided to wave all capital gains taxes for those that “take up the service of their fellow citizens”. A simple Google search of this will reveal the federal code (I’m on Mobil and can’t link).
I originally posted this in regards rumors of Jamie Dimon but holds even more true for Musk. We are literally talking almost $100 billion in his case of non cap gains taxes.

Yesterday I heard (so much news I read, perhaps it was here): “There is no way forward for America now but for Trump to be elected.”
I agree, there are no half-measures remaining. The Left is making that more clear by the day: We will either stay free, or we will be something else, no longer what we were.
It may not be wise, but I’m gonna trust Elon for now. Not 100%, but I’m feeling better about him. And if, as most of us believe, Donald Trump (the man) learned many lessons with the mistakes he made regarding those he let get close to him… well, assuming he DID learn those lessons well, then that gives me even more confidence.
(And by the way, this isn’t directly related, but if Trump and Musk ARE getting close, and plan to work together from here on out, there might be one more really cool thing to come of it: Manned mission to Mars, pushed and promoted by Trump, carried out by NASA and Elon Musk. It could theoretically happen while he’s still in office.)
Tracking the American oligarchs alignment is more indicative of what to expect than all the downstream noise. In the event Trump survives and overcomes whatever unleashed obstacles direct from hell are placed to keep him from office, he must not let any neo cons anywhere near him. Advocating for the jabs, or continuing imperial overseas military adventures must end now. We cannot afford Trump being sidelined again for 4 years, we need the direction of our country turned.
