On top of that IDF soldiers fired point blank into crowds of Israelis running towards the soldiers for safety.
Retired Magistrate here: Well, I am starting to change my mind about at least one of President Trump’s attorneys, Todd Blanche. According to an article at the Daily Caller (don’t know whether it is true or not) but Blanche is not familiar with New York law. Also, according to the article, Alan Dershowitz did offer to help the Trump defense attorneys, along with other outside help, but Trump’s attorneys stated that they didn’t need the help.
According to the article, Blanche is not an appellate expert nor has he argued before the Supreme Court. Blanche also made a comment to the AP that he still had faith in the judicial system after this case and of course President Trump felt that it was rigged because President Trump was convicted of four felonies.
Dershowitz also went on to state that there were numerous issues that never got on the record for appeal purposes; some did, numerous ones didn’t. As a former Magistrate I can tell you that the most important part of a case is making a good, complete record, whether you are the attorney or the one sitting on the bench.
Hopefully, President Trump can find better attorneys for the appeal. It may be that these are the only attorneys he could find that were willing to take the chance to represent him. These mistakes are probably not fatal, but it looks like a much better record could have been made.
So, I stand corrected in a former post from today when I stated that Dershowitz should put up or shut up. If the Daily Caller is correct, Dershowitz did attempt to help, but Blanche arrogantly turned him down.
Sorry … Dershowitz is an all star Monday Morning QB …. One could have been the most competent attorney available for this case and would have still lost.
The Judge struck ALL the defense’s cross examination of the “star prosecution witnesses” via allowing EVERY OBJECTION by the prosecution during cross examination…which pointed out they were lying and had given different testimony under oath in other legal venues.
The Judge disallowed use of an expert witness by the defense and even narrowed ALLOWED QUESTIONS and TOPICS the defense could address.
The Jury Instructions by the Judge directed the Jury to ignore all evidence that was not presented verbally by the 2-Prosecution Star Witnesses.
Plus there were 2-Lawyers ON THE JURY who hated President Trump and were used to retry the case in the Jury Room for the Prosecution to lead the Jury to “only consider evidence allowed” by the Judges Instructions.
Then there was the bizzarro … 4-4-4 Non Unanimous verdict instruction.
Dershowitz is upset he was not invited to help.
Retired Magistrate here: I understand all that. When the Judge disallowed the use of an expert witness you make sure your objection is on the record and the reasons for the objection along with all the other pieces of evidence the Judge disallowed.
I agree that the jury instructions are grounds for appeal also. The main problem I have with Blanche is that according to the article he is not familiar with New York law, the appeals process in New York State and does not have Supreme Court experience. Being a trial attorney and an appellate attorney are two difference areas of expertise. Appearing before the U.S. Supreme Court is another area of expertise.
I am also in agreement that even the most stellar attorney would have lost this case. That was not my point. My point is that I have concerns about the record; it appears that not everything that should be in the record to preserve objections, is in the record. Will there be enough for a good appeal, I think so, but President Trump should definitely get attorneys who have appellate experience before the New York Court of Appeals and different attorneys who have argued before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Just like all previous, similar stories … we do not know what is really in the record nor do we know what other help may have been used. Dershowitz has this neat habit of slinging all sorts of mud and accusations vs Attorneys who “sit below him in the pantheon” without providing any detail other than his high level claims. That is why I am skeptical of his claims.
At least someone like Turley and Jarrett add details to support their claims. Plus, they do not grand stand and advertise their services by publicly bad mouthing president Trump’s attorneys, which I believe is the motive for this venting by Desrchowitz.
I am truly sick of this nonsense. Its like people refuse to see what is before them. After everything that has happened, let blame President trump’s attorneys. You have corrupt DA, a corrupt judge, a compromised jury pool. A crime that is yet to be defined and instructions from the corrupt judge to the compromised jury to find the “defendant” guilty no matter what. But let’s not look there lets go after “Trump’s lawyers”. Yup its all their fault. They didn’t know what they were doing.

News about trade routes have made me think about what is going on in the world.
The Northern Sea Route or Arctic trade route, which is the shortest distance from Asia to Europe, can shave 8000 km or more in distance and save 40-60% in time from shipments. Virtually the entire length is in Russian territorial waters. Ships that wish to use it must get permission from Russia and pay transit fees.
Another major trade route is around India and through the Red Sea. Today that trade route is problematic for British, Israeli, or US ships due to Ansarallah’s demand that Israel stop the war against Palestinians and deliver sufficient humanitarian aid.
A third major trade route is through the Pacific. A war with China would have the effect of shutting down all trade with Asia.

UNARMED MINUTEMAN III TEST LAUNCH TO SHOWCASE READINESS OF U.S. NUCLEAR FORCE’S SAFE, EFFECTIVE DETERRENT
Vandenberg Guardians and Airmen will support two separate operational test launches of an Air Force Global Strike Command unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile off the Vandenberg Test Range scheduled for the first week of June.
The first test is scheduled for June 4 from 12:01 a.m. to June 4, 2024, 6:01 a.m., Pacific Time from north Vandenberg.
The second test is scheduled for June 6 from 12:01 a.m. to June 6, 6:01 a.m., Pacific Time from north Vandenberg.
The purpose of the ICBM test launch program is to demonstrate the readiness of U.S. nuclear forces and provide confidence in the lethality and effectiveness of the nation’s nuclear deterrent, according to Air Force Global Strike Command.
“Vandenberg Guardians and Airmen are committed to supporting our mission partners and these vitally important test launches from the Western Range,” said Col. Mark Shoemaker, Space Launch Delta 30 commander. “Test launches like these are critical in safeguarding the defense our nation.”
Consistent with previous test launches, this routine, unarmed ICBM test launch will validate and verify the effectiveness, readiness and accuracy of the weapon system.
“A previous test launch slated for February 2024 had to be postponed due to some needed repairs at Reagan Test Site,” said Col. Chris Cruise, 377th Test and Evaluation Group commander.
“This summer’s test launch was already scheduled so it made sense to do them both while all the necessary personnel were in place.
The launches were scheduled well in advance and have nothing to do with world events.”
In accordance with standard procedures, the United States has transmitted a pre-launch notification pursuant to the Hague Code of Conduct, and notified the Russian government in advance, per our existing bi-lateral obligations.

Democrats are all in unison with their ever-coveted “convicted felon” label. But they don’t realize that they have made a mockery of that label with their Soros-supported prosecutors refusing to prosecute real felons in major cities all over the country. Not to mention the Biden administration DOJ and FBI hiding or ignoring damning evidence of Biden crimes.

For the second time in their ignoble history, the Democrats have fired on Fort Sumter. Now the question is, what are we going to do about it?
I wrote my initial thoughts on the Trump verdict yesterday afternoon. I want to add to them here.
If Joe Biden is re-elected following this outrage, he will be an illegitimate president. What does that mean? It means, I think, that no one should be obliged to follow his executive orders. All such orders will be illegitimate and should be disregarded, as appropriate. Likewise, residents of the sane states, and their public officials, should be free to disregard rules and orders that come out of the Biden administration’s agencies–the Biden EPA, and so on. And rulings of Biden-appointed judges, or of panels on which one or more Biden judges were part of the majority, should not be given any precedential effect.
More fundamentally, the Democratic Party is now illegitimate. We should stop treating it as a normal political organization. We conservatives have played by the rules, trying to hold our country together in the face of increasingly radical and irrational conduct from our political foes. Those days should be gone. The Democratic Party is now exposed as the enemy of freedom, democracy and the rule of law, and should be treated accordingly.
Yesterday was one of the worst days in our country’s history, the worst, I think, since 1861. I do not know whether we can survive the lawless regime that the Democrats have thrust on us. I have been saying for a while that we are on a path to disunion. I don’t think that fate is inevitable, but in their abuse of the legal system, the Democrats have taken another giant step down that road.

According to Jones, federal agents could put locks on the doors and liquidate all broadcasting assets. Jones alleges that he even spent the night in his studio and has prepared to involve local law enforcement to prevent what he describes as an unlawful raid on his property.

On Saturday evening Alex Jones broke down on his show as he spoke about the horrible abuse by the federal government.

FDA approves Moderna’s RSV vaccine for seniors, the company’s second-ever product
The Food and Drug Administration on Friday approved Moderna’s vaccine for respiratory syncytial virus for adults ages 60 and above, the company’s second-ever product to enter the U.S. market.
The decision is a win for Moderna, which desperately needs another revenue source amid plunging demand for its Covid jab, its only commercially available product.
The approval of Moderna’s shot is based on a late-stage trial on older adults, who are more vulnerable to severe cases of RSV. The virus kills between 6,000 and 10,000 seniors every year and results in 60,000 to 160,000 hospitalizations, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Moderna’s shot will be marketed under the brand name mRESVIA.
It is the first messenger RNA vaccine to get approved for a disease other than Covid.
The company’s shot is also the only RSV vaccine to be available in a pre-filled syringe, which is designed to make it easier to administer to patients.
An advisory panel to the CDC will vote in June on recommendations for the use and intended population of Moderna’s shot. The company expects an equal recommendation to existing RSV shots from GSK and Pfizer, Moderna executives said during an earnings call on May 1.
A positive recommendation from the CDC would allow Moderna’s vaccine to compete against GSK and Pfizer, which launched their respective shots in the U.S. last fall.
Pfizer’s vaccine has so far lagged behind GSK’s, but both shots have so far recorded hundreds of millions in sales.
Moderna’s full-year 2024 sales guidance of roughly $4 billion includes revenue from its RSV vaccine.
The approval demonstrates the versatility of Moderna’s messenger RNA platform beyond treating Covid.
The biotech company is using that technology to tackle a range of different diseases, including RSV, cancer and a highly contagious stomach bug known as norovirus.
“The FDA approval of our second product, mRESVIA, builds on the strength and versatility of our mRNA platform,” Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel said in a release. “With mRESVIA, we continue to deliver for patients by addressing global public health threats related to infectious diseases.”
The biotech company currently has more than 40 products in development, several of which are in late-stage trials.
They include its combination shot targeting Covid and the flu, which could win approval as early as 2025.

Guy Benson has always remained a never Trumper. Never voted for Trump, not even in the general elections, ever. He is still a never Trumper and his description of Trump bring unfit is disgusting to me.
However, two things:
1). He describes the lawfare trial and unjust verdict accurately; and…
2) it is so dangerous that he feels that he may have to vote for Trump to defeat it

This is going to backfire!! People are awake now.
My family members aren’t among them, even though they all have initials after their names. And sometimes, two sets of initials. As for me, I never finished college. Gotta wonder if there’s a connection:)
I am not in favor of the right adopting lawfare as retribution or revenge.
I also don’t think conservative juries in red state will play that game.
Red state juries will not be politically driven to injustice the way blue state juries are.
I am in favor of pursuing real crimes. Keep that up.
However, I have one exception…
I would absolutely be fine with harsh and hard driven lawfare being used against those who used lawfare themselves.
The difference is that “red state” AGs can bring real charges against people who have actually committed crimes without inventing new and improved legal theories. Juries in red states will simply have to follow the law.
