I have to disagree respectfully with those of us that declare President Trumps persecution is planned by the King of Kings to show us who the enemies are.

In the past two weeks, both Walmart and Target have announced price reductions on thousands of everyday items.
Business decision or political decision?
The American consumer is tapped out. Spending patterns have shifted, and. credit cards are maxed out.
The consumer economy is on life support, partially provided by the massive government
Printing and money funneled to feed and house millions of illegal immigrants, plus the usual social spending programs.
If that money funnel were to be turned off, I suspect there would be an economic collapse of unprecedented size.
As it is, I think the tactic has played out. End of the line.
But FJB still needs to be carried to the November finish line before the bread lines create their own whirlpool.
Thus, the Target and Walmart moves. Which could be seen, really, as in kind campaign donations, if they are deliberately taking losses to subsidize consumers into November, with the plan of getting the next administration to make them whole in 2025

At a personal level, the company I recently semi-retired from laid off a bunch of salaried support staff at the C-suite level a couple of months ago, and about 2 weeks ago, local branches were ordered to layoff 1 person per branch. 100s of branches.
Was also told 1st quarter results ending in April were negative for the first time in years.
It is a construction materials firm, very large and nationwide.

My brother-in-law, who worked in a commercial construction field that was booming a few years ago, was laid off last August. My daughter-in-law, who had worked for five years in customer support for a national real estate company, was laid off in November.
Yes, there are lots of “jobs” out there but most of them are in retail or service industries, which do not pay enough to support a family.

A quick personal story that relates, we bought our first home here in 1983 for approximately $78,000 had sold 18 months or so previously for $130,000 or thereabouts.

Dave’s Pasta Sauce reg. $6.98, now $1.50 expiration 2/26. Last year’s line of mid-price wash cloths in odd colors for 50 cents instead of $3.98. Rustoleum spray paint – $3.00. (Who cares if the rusty shelving in the garden shed is lime green with sparkly bits?)

He got “probation” for that except his lawyer didn’t tell him, so then for organizing a sit-in in Georgia he got four months’ hard labor as a probation violator. Sound draconian? Sound a little over the top? Sounds a lot like the kinds of treatment President Trump has garnered at the hands of Democrats, who also did this to King.

Venezuela has imprisoned presidential candidates on technicalities, too, if not driven them into exile.
Two others are also worth comparisons — Maria Corina Machado of Venezuela, who challenged the regime and was disqualified from running for president, as well as Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil who got the same treatment. Both are just upstream of prison terms as “felons,” which will also likely happen, same as it’s happened to Trump.

I’d posit PDJT’s guns are in a trust and now, if not prior, under physical control of the trustee. He would by prohibited from physically possessing them but, if his trust is anything like the ones we have for NFA items, he doesn’t actually own them. Overall I do believe that the wonkiness of the thread came from and was due a lot to Caudal. Most if not all opposed to pride month were did not use bullying or name calling even when Catudal singled them out.
For me i felt that as an employee of iFit Catudal was way out of line with his actions.
None the less iFit finally took down the thread due to several complaints.

My daughter’s water broke at 21 weeks, she stayed in a hospital bed for 8 weeks trying to save that baby that was born 10 weeks early. June — is the day my husband was born…the circle of life. Looking back, it is disturbing to realize that we boomers entered into adulthood just as the Dilapidation of America was accelerating. It became a “norm” that we accepted, believing then that the future would replace those “old things” with new and better. Oh how wrong we were in our thinking.
In the first two decades of this century, I became involved with my own small town’s effort to revive its Main Street – economically, socially, historically. I got very familiar with the National Main Street program across the country. Almost all municipalities that had adopted a “Main Street” rejuvenation program were towns that had been bypassed by interstate or state highways and/or been abandoned by the shopping public because malls and large shopping centers had been constructed on the outskirts of the towns.
The Main Street program has been successful in my town and in many town, but not all towns. There are other factors that are important such as population demographics, nearness to viable employment for local residents, law & order, and the level of cooperation and assistance from the local government.
But none of that will help in the future if the evil plot that Nickson has exposed is not stopped and remedied soon.

IIRC, Paradise, CA, was one of those rejuvenated ‘main street’ communities: that locale revised the Main Street to one-lane in and one-lane out, congesting those fleeing from fires a few years back.

This year, when completing my accountant’s annual tax questionnaire, the option was provided for the IRS to withdraw any taxes due or estimated payments electronically from my bank account–without me having to set this up myself. With more than 50% of my income getting taxed, one way or another, by federal, state and local “authorities,” I never see half my earnings, anyway.
Accountants absolutely would be needed. Credit memos, rebates, etc are not cash transactions yet they have value. Bookkeeping will still be necessary.

Entering the mortgage beginning principal balance in Intuit tax worksheets is not required. And the reason it isn’t required is because it’s on the 1098 that is reported to the IRS. I use the tax preparer software so what TurboTax requires may be different but regardless, it’s already being reported on the 1098. Part of the reason for this is the change to the tax code where the home interest deduction is limited.

The judge in this case will likely sentence him to some sort of jail time, after all, look at the perversion done to “justice” in order to convict Trump.
