According to Politico and the New York Times the Biden administration has given Ukraine approval to launch U.S provided missiles into Russia. {LINK} This is a major escalation of NATO engagement, likely intended to provoke Russia to strike alternate targets. The people inside Ukraine responsible for using these U.S. provided weapons are likely not Ukranian.
CTH is in an unusually serendipitous position to analyze how Russia is responding to this shift in USA position. The morale inside Russia is very high amid the military age population. The recruitment efforts of the Russian government appear to be numerous and very effective.
There are thousands of newly enlisted military personnel very visible in/around training facilities. There is no apparent tension discernable. Overall Russia appears to take great pride in their military, and it is considered a matter of honor and pride to support them.
WASHINGTON – The Biden administration has quietly given Ukraine permission to strike inside Russia — solely near the area of Kharkiv — using U.S.-provided weapons, two U.S. officials and two other people familiar with the move said Thursday, a major reversal that will help Ukraine to better defend its second-largest city.
“The president recently directed his team to ensure that Ukraine is able to use U.S. weapons for counter-fire purposes in Kharkiv so Ukraine can hit back at Russian forces hitting them or preparing to hit them,” a U.S. official said, adding that the policy of not allowing long-range strikes inside Russia “has not changed.”
[…] In effect, Ukraine can now use American-provided weapons, such as rockets and rocket launchers, to shoot down launched Russian missiles heading toward Kharkiv, at troops massing just over the Russian border near the city, or Russian bombers launching bombs toward Ukrainian territory. But the official said Ukraine cannot use those weapons to hit civilian infrastructure or launch long-range missiles, such as the Army Tactical Missile System, to hit military targets deep inside Russia.
It’s a stunning shift the administration initially said would escalate the war by more directly involving the U.S. in the fight. But worsening conditions for Ukraine on the battlefield –– namely Russia’s advances and improved position in Kharkiv –– led the president to change his mind. (read more)
You can tell from the general vibe amid the officials of government, Russia is not playing around with their military approach toward previous NATO encroachment or the provocations by the U.S. The sense is that Russia is in this for the long haul and their structural changes in the aftermath of the sanction regime are not temporary. Russians overall are hard and resilient to the reality of things as they are, not as they would wish them to be.
Russia appears to be entirely prepared financially, sociologically and economically to remain disconnected from the “West.” Asia and India are filling the economic void created by Western sanctions. Amid ordinary life, the general Russian sentiment seems to be one of acceptance to the geopolitical isolation.
In recent weeks the push toward further conflict with Russia seemed to be diminishing; however, this direct action by Biden and the State Dept puts the USA (NATO) in a more aggressive posture.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban opposes the escalation by NATO.
WASHINGTON – […] During a Friday interview on state radio, Orbán said that French President Emmanuel Macron’s stance that he wouldn’t rule out sending troops to Ukraine, as well as a NATO proposal that would allow Kyiv to strike military bases inside Russia with sophisticated long-range weapons provided by Western partners, risked escalating the war in Ukraine into a global conflict.
“War is a monster that is constantly hungry, it must be fed, and it must be fed with money. And I see that the Americans and the Democratic government of the United States, and the leaders of the European Union, are ready to feed it,” he said. (read more)

Polish Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk told Polish news outlet Radio ZET that Ukraine “can fight however they want” with the MiG-29 fighters and other weapons it provided.
https://www.twz.com/news-features/ukraine-can-now-use-u-s-supplied-weapons-to-strike-inside-russia
I recently read that with the promised F-15 jets, the Ukraine Air Force will become the largest Air Force in “Europe”.
Every plane that is in the air, now depends on computerized parts. And Russia has figured out how to disable missiles and drones.
Russia started testing their technology on drones. The technology succeeded and drones began to be disabled en-route.
Then Russia turned their technology on missiles. The Russians began targeting small missiles and at this time they’ve confirgured their technology on 5 types of missiles.
This morning we learned that Russia figured it out and they now have the ability to disable ATACMS missiles. Per the new Russian Defense Minister, Andrey Belousov, “With each attack, interception rates increase, the systems “learn” ….
on May 29, Russians intercepted a a massive Ukrainian attack of 10 ATACMS missiles that were targeting the Crimean Bridge.” Belousov emphasized in his comments that the interception of the missiles saved hundreds of lives.
Which brings me back to those planes….there is a good possibility that we may see an increase of “Ukraine” aircraft dropping out of the sky and Russia won’t have to fire a shot to clear the air of enemy aircraft…just sayin. :0)
I hope Russia humiliates the collective sick, greedy, totalitarian WEF monsters.
Russia has humiliated the WEF.
The questions are 1) Does the WEF actually care, or is the Russia-Ukraine conflict just a means to an end regarding its social policies in the West? and 2) If the WEF does care, to what extent will that humiliation cause the to become irrationally reckless?
Become? They’ve been irrationally reckless for years now.
I think you hit the nail on the head when you said the Ukraine conflict is just a means to implementing the WEF one-world-government plans. There is not any rational reason why the entire west has lined up to go to war against Russia over a historically benign country that is and has always been within Russia’s sphere of influence.
What really matters to the totalitarians is that Putin is the one last powerful, independent leader of a country that rejects the unspeakable WEF plans for transhumanism and one-world government. IMHO that has always been the only reason for the war. Because once Putin and Russia are removed as opposition, they can complete their takeover and fully implement their plans worldwide.
Every rational, freedom-loving human on this planet should support Putin and Russia against these Orwellian would-be totalitarian dictators.

That happened rather quickly , seems like just the other day the wicked witch of the west was on the news calling for Ukraine to strike targets inside Russia. How does Victoria Nuland have so much power ?
Let me see… Republicans who voted to fund Make Ukraine Great Again: Mike Hohnson, Steve Scalise, Jim Jordan, Elise Stefanik, Mitch McConnell, Tom Cotton, and on and on.
The seals are clapping Russia Bad!
It’s about the money on both sides of the aisle. Funding war is VERY profitable.
No representation of their own constituencies. Just backroom extortion and personal profiteering, paved by the insider Bureaucrats, many with tin badges and empty craniums; the morality of lizards.
America, I hardly know ye….
How far we have fallen, kam. . .
Yeah. Cotton is my Senator. What a disappointment.
The District of Corruption……what more need we say!
Biden’s energy policy made Russia great again. $80+/barrel of oil funds the Russian war economy. The American taxpayer is paying for both sides of this war, through taxes and inflation.
Sundance, you say there are thousands of newly enlisted military personnel visible in and around Russian military bases. Are you aware that Russia has mandatory conscription, but conscripts are not allowed into combat unless there has been a formal declaration of war.
In Russia, a declaration of war means a full national mobilization. If that were to happen, Putin would lose Moscow and St. Petersburg, both of which he has sheltered from the consequences of his aggression against Ukraine. To date, Russia has not formally declared war on Ukraine.
Could you expand on how many bases you visited and in which cities? It is amazing the Russians allowed you that close to these bases such that you could observe the number of military personnel and the make-up thereof.
You sound like a British Troll.
They sound like valid questions to me. Not everything has to be confrontational.
His line of questioning sounds like he has or would like to spend time on the Farm in VA, not reasonable at all
Confrontation appears to be the preferred outcome that sparky’s attempting to ignite, based on a faulty premise.
Trust God. Fear not.
Please elaborate on my faulty premise. Thank you.
They are not valid questions…. and yes we need to confront the Communist occupiers in our country at every juncture until they are defeated.
Please explain why my questions for Sundance are not valid?
Excellent response… Thanks.
Valid questions and observations from points of view foreign to one’s comfortable thinking zone do not make the person with the questions and observations trolls, from any nation.
This is a place for conversation. Or, it used to be, and believe it still is, and in these days most certainly should be.
I have people on the ground in Russia… that I observe. A troll is a troll regardless of what you say.
You do realize that the Donetsk and Lugansk declared their independence from Ukraine (Just like Ireland broke away from the United Kingdom!) in 2014 after the United States using Victoria Nuland’s thugs overthrew the President of Ukraine who was friendly to Russia. The Donetsk and Lugansk formed their own government and most of Ukrainian Army who came from those regions resigned and formed militaries under the control of the two newly elected governments. So, Russia didn’t invade anyone. The Russians were asked to help the Donetsk and Lugansk defend against Ukrainian aggression.
I’ve been stating the same facts since this started but no one wants to talk about it Russia was asked to assist in the defense of Luhansk & Donestk as it was traditionally known as White Russia. The same with the Minsk Accords. The only relevant fact that is occasionally mentioned is the Azov Nazis who have persecuted the Russian peoples of those areas for the last 50 years but, alas, for some reason that fact doesn’t get the traction that it should.😉🇺🇸
You are right. The hate Russia propaganda in the media is so blatant.
using the same analogy, could mexicans who have crossed the rio grande into texas, call call on their former countrys military to liberate them from US & texas “aggression” ??
Not an apt analogy since the Ukrainians in western Ukraine who are ethnic Russians are not newcomers. After the 2014 coup fomented by the US, the government of Ukraine passed laws that discriminated against the ethnic Russian population of Ukraine. That is what led to the civil war and eventual declaration of independence by the western provinces
more than an apt analogy/ just like we have our “dreamers”, the sons & daughters of illegal immigrants, so does ukraine. the eastern provinces have the sons & daughters of ethnic russions who were settled there during the expansion of the soviet union. ethnic russians were put in charge of everything and they stayed on after the collapse of the soviet union. so yes, not newcomers, but “invaders” none-the-less
Or how about the 30,000 plus Chinese foreign nationals coming across the border since Oct. 2023 with all the farmland the CCP has bought?
But no, a $130,000 ledger entry is enough to put one former president & 1 only in jail.
We have no borders. We are open to China, Russia, Iran & anyone with a 12′ dinghy who can invade on our shorelines or come in on a JB-paid-for jet from anywhere in the world plus unlimited “foot” traffic.
This was an American provoked civil war with our installed fascist regime against the 45% of Ukraine’s population who are ethnic Russian. Russia will not tolerate the offensive and dysfunctional NATO to absorb Ukraine and place nuclear missiles in the Kharkov region. The same geniuses who created a multitude of military disasters thought they could topple the Russian government and exploit Russian resources, as they did under Yeltsin. The Sever Army Group which commenced operations in Kharkov region are mostly conscripts, not contracted servicemen. Russia is not hostile toward foreigners including Americans. They are an educated society, unlike here at home. They are not suffering from a pathological hatred of American people, they realize we are a generally uneducated people who are subdjucated to a totalitarian regime, which silences opposition and brings death and destruction world wide. Russia has faced massive invasions from the east and west over the millenia, and unite as a cultural nation state to fight effectively, and to death when necessary for what they see as their sacred lands. At least 30 million died in WWII, and they will fight us to the end now. I could care less about a stupid “Putin” litmus test, or whose dictatorship is better than the others, these are just facts and we are in no way prepared to fight a war with them. Russians want and support a strong leader and country, and national identity. It would be a revolutionary concept at this point if we ever again have a coherent, literate and strong leadership in our country.
‘…we are in no way prepared to fight a war with them.’
To reiterate:
Some suggest that the escalation against Russia by a deindustrialized US with a weakened military implies that the real goal is to go to war and lose that war.
Why? Apparently as the pivot to a US vassal state, subordinate to the “multi-polar global governance” to be led by China and Russia.
Interesting theory and could be correct. It also could be, our globalist elite masters are so inbred, insolent and incompetent that they simply are not able to compete with ruling elites of countries, like China and Russia, which have survived for millenia.
The irrational hatred of Slavik cultures by our dictatorship indicates they reject being in, much less subordinate to, the Russian oligarch elites. Most of our elites are White liberals who look down on Oriental cultures too. Hard to see them in same social circles. Bottom line is when our complete financial collapse happens, which is soon upon us, will there even be a US we have known? Ours will be far worse than the collapse of the Soviet Union.
So, our dictatorship is taking its cue from the Third Reich and viewing the Russian Slavs as “untermenschen” (subhuman).
I wouldn’t compare our permanent state to the Third Reich for many reasons. Third Reich was a personality, strong man construct, as Stalin for the Soviet Union. Our executive office has had soft puppets placed to hold it, actual decisions made by various factions. The viciousness expressed by Europe and the US, along with the callous disregard for Ukrainian life is astounding. Literally obliterating the society and killing off its’ family rearing aged men, long past knowing the attempt to destroy the Russian Federation failed.
Could you expand on what YOU’RE up to? My distrust meter is ringing like a fire alarm.
He’s definitely an agent of this regime.
It is a “Special Military Operation,” not a declared war.
And Putin would NOT lose any city.
The enlistment offices for volunteers are very public. Local military bases, of course will naturally have close links with nearby towns & cities. It’s not like Russia has hundreds of military bases overseas, after all. Troops are “home” most of the time.
The current Russian service by selection model, is far more consentual than old Soviet conscription and is the main pipeline to joining the professional army.
It gives basic training and orientation for potential recruits whilst acting as last-restort reinforcements to defend the country, if needed.
No particular evidence the big cities are more sheltered than anywhere else In fact displaying trophy weapons captured in battle in Moscow, make it look like the Kremlin is trying to run it in.
As for not declaring war on Ukraine, there are legal reasons for that.
Plus I doubt the Kremlin wants to validate the proxy regime of a fake polity, when they deep-down consider this more of a civil war.
I have co-workers from Russia. They told me all MALES aged at age 17 are conscripted into service.
I thought Russia had stopped mandatory service, but no.
One woman is trying to get her 16 year old into school in the UK to avoid this.
It is a one year conscription for training so they have a trained reserve force for national defense.
We in the U.S. should also have that. I believe Israel is 2-year mandatory military service.
I believe Switzerland also has it, and every 18 year old is given a rifle.
Which is converted to semi – automatic fire only at the end of their service.
Ironic that our leaders who deploy our military all over the globe, but specifically not on our borders, claim Russia, which is actively defending its’ borders, is “on the march” to overrun Europe. And people believe it, and call anyone who points out ironies a “Putin” stooge.
Why do you need to know the which military bases and the cities? What does that matter in terms of the article? I would imagine that if he were to post such information it could potentially create issues for future travel to the region. And what is unusual about a country not declaring war “formally”? Seems to be a common approach by most these days and has been for decades now.
If you had gone anywhere near an American military base you could easily make similar 0bservations without actually needing to see the facility itself.
The Russians have been threatened with extinction for quite some time by clown world. Clown world decided to go hot with the attempt in 2014. The Russian people understand this perfectly. Russia will have no trouble raising the army they need to defeat clown world/NATO/US if need be. In fact they are in the process of doing so right now.
The danger is that if clown world escalates and loses, which they will, then the children and women running clown world could decide to end civilization. Psychopaths are like that.
Col. Doug McGregor has stated most of the current Russian troops fighting Ukraine are not their premier force, but secondary units. They are holding back their best…for now, anyway.
They must know a larger force will be needed if this western escalation continues.
Absolutely correct. The bulk of their fully trained military, armed with all the supporting weapons systems and stockpiles of munitions sufficient to meet NATO forces from Karelia south along their borders are kept in reserve. Additionally there are large numbers deployed in Belarus above Kiev along with mobilized Belarussian forces ready to defend against Poland or intervene in Ukraine. Russia is also confirming support from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and recruiting men who have years of combat experience from Afghanistan. Which is interesting and not highlighted in the MSM. The elite Chechen units are very professional, but these are Russian citizens. Their unit Telegram posts are fascinating to read, describing what they see when entering strongholds and trenches they capture from Ukrainian cannon fodder, after being subjected to TOS-1A thermobaric flamethrowers, FAB bombs, artillery shells, ect. The carnage of human remains and stench of unevacuated wounded and dead, along with dazed prisoners is why it’s called a meat grinder. Nuland, Blinken, Biden, Milley and the Euro leaders should be tried for crimes against humanity for what they have caused.
Yes Brain. The neocons have all but destroyed two generations of Ukrainians. It is sickening. Let’s hope cooler heads prevail in the case of a potential escalation. I just don’t see any cooler heads in power in the West right now.
I mean Brian not Brain. Sorry, getting old.
” Nuland, Blinken, Biden, Milley and the Euro leaders should be tried for crimes against humanity for what they have caused.”
I disagree… they should all be sent to the Front Lines (with no recourse).
Agree 100% with your last sentence.
..
Too bad you don’t ask similar detailed questions to mass media drones. They lie at will, with anonymous sources aplenty. I don’t begrudge our host the right to speak cryptically and generally. I wish others would do so, rather than the barrage of lies and propaganda.
Ted Kennedy held hearings in the 1960s on socialized medicine.
One witness testified that government health care never works. Kennedy replied they didn’t have me to run it.
All leftism is an exercise in egomania, because it is a return to feudalism. The special people, the ubermenschen will be in charge.
Leftists are capable of flirting with nuclear war and believing they, only they can get away with it.
The Dunning-Kruger effect, with a twist:
A cognizant small group dishonestly exploiting the foolishness of the tribe for power.
Same pattern of leftists in general.
As Orwell noted in 1984, it all boils down to power, for the few, nothing else. Ideology and everything else is pretense used by the few to manipulate the tribe.
AND, the warmongers, including especially politicians, and their families should be in/on the front lines, since they don’t seem to mind shedding other patriots blood. Those flirting with nuclear war are all psychopaths, like John Bolton, for one.
” Kennedy replied they didn’t have me to run it…. into the pond” …. fixed it.
Pawk the caw in Hawvawd Yawd. Unless you awe Ted Kennedy, then pawk the caw in the watuh.
Inneresting! Bidet officially approves the Ukies shooting US missiles deep into Roosha the minute after Merchan gets a guilty verdict agains the Golden Golem.
A couple of weeks ago Boris Johnson also had the same bright idea. But then the Putinator threatened to bomb UK military bases if he did so. Then radio silence from the brits.
Now we have Bidet with the same wheeze. Is this that escalation thingy everyone is on about?
Hopefully Putin will target DC
Might be better in the long run to target Brussels and Davos.
“Hopefully Putin will target DC”
You are advocating the death of me and my family. I live within 25 miles of DC.
Bless your and your families’ hearts. DC=Babylon
Bidet is answering to his bosses in the UK…. the same people that HRC and Bill works for.
Insanity doesn’t run in the Biden regime, it gallops.
A great line from the classic “Arsenic & Old Lace”😄
They don’t suffer from insanity, they enjoy it.
Russia is a breath away from the use of tactical nuclear weapons after the rapid escalation in its relations with NATO.
Putin’s adviser, Dmitry Suslov, suggested first a test nuclear explosion with the “mushroom” broadcast live around the world through the media, and then, if NATO does not come to its senses, regular use of tactical nuclear weapons.
Dmitry Suslov, member of the Russian Foreign and Defense Policy Council, deputy director of global economy and international policy at the Moscow Higher School of Economics, and Valdai Club expert said the following:
Crossing the toughest Russian “red line”The West does not believe in the seriousness of the Russian nuclear deterrent and allows itself to cross its borders one after another. What can Russia do but clearly show how determined it is?
All indications are that the United States and some of its allies will soon allow Ukraine to use Western weapons, including long-range missiles, to attack targets within Russia’s internationally recognized borders, that is, those parts of Russia that already from the Maidan in Kiev in 2014 they were Russians.
In America, the New York Times recently reported , supporters of the idea include Secretary of State Antony Blinken, most Republicans in Congress (including House Speaker Mike Johnson) and many members of the foreign policy establishment.
Also present was Victoria Nuland, who recently resigned as Under Secretary of State. In Europe, Poland, the Baltic states, Germany’s main opposition CDU/CSU and some Western European officials, including British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, support the measure.
Recently, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg made a similar call, but he would not have made such a statement if the issue had not already been discussed at a practical level and received significant support from Washington. It has already reached the point where the issue is being discussed at the level of the heads of the defense ministries of the EU member states.
Such a decision would take the conflict to a fundamentally different level, would mark the crossing of one of the clearest “red lines” in existence since February 24, 2022, and would mark the immediate entry of the United States and its NATO bloc into the war against of Russia. The strikes would be carried out based on coordinates provided by Western intelligence services.
NATO at war with RussiaDecisions about these strikes will be made by Western military officials (the media have repeatedly reported confessions from Ukrainian military officials that any use of Western missiles is coordinated in advance by Western military advisers) – and even the button will likely be pushed directly by Western military officials.
It is no coincidence that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz justifies his reluctance to deploy Taurus missiles by saying that they should be operated not by Ukrainian, but by German military personnel.
Therefore, the denial of such a right was the main condition for granting military to Kiev and in the first place, one of the most important principles of the involvement of the West in the conflict.
There are at least two reasons why the West is now discussing abandoning this principle.
The first and most important reason is the increasingly difficult situation of the Ukrainian army on the battlefield. Do not forget that NATO leaders have repeatedly stated that the outcome of the conflict is of existential importance not only for Ukraine, but also for themselves, as it will determine the nature of the new world order.
In other words, the West itself has given the conflict in Ukraine the status of a world war, and therefore the defeat of Kiev will mean its own strategic defeat, the final collapse of the Western-style international order. The worse the situation for Kiev on the front, the greater the risk of escalation the West is willing to take.
Suslov continues:
The second reason is Russia’s reluctance to escalate relations with the West whenever the latter crosses the “red line” and becomes more involved in the conflict (supplying Kiev with tanks, aircraft and, eventually, long-range missiles). As a result, the fear of escalation, which was relatively high at the start of the military operation, has gradually decreased, as repeatedly emphasized by Western reports.
Thus, the West has come to believe that the cost of Kiev’s defeat is much greater than the risks of a direct military confrontation with Russia, arising from the fact that Western weapons can penetrate deep into its “old” territory. The voices of those who argue that this time Moscow will not cause direct military damage to Western countries are getting louder.
Activation of nuclear weaponsThis logic may inevitably lead to World War III. And unless further Western intervention in the Ukraine conflict is stopped now, a full-scale “hot” war between Russia and NATO is inevitable. Because of the superiority of the United States and the 31 members of NATO in the field of conventional weapons, this war will inevitably go to the nuclear level.
In a few months (or maybe even weeks) the same logic will be applied to stationing regular Western troops in Ukraine and then starting to launch Russian missiles over Ukraine. The Kiev regime has recently made these proposals increasingly forceful.
Even under current Russian nuclear doctrine (which was written in peacetime and certainly needs to be strengthened), such a scenario would be an official reason for using nuclear weapons.
There is only one way to prevent such a catastrophic turn of events: a drastic tightening of Moscow’s policy of deterrence and intimidation.
Instead, we should first say to the US and NATO something like what Moscow has already said to London after David Cameron’s words about Ukraine’s right to strike anywhere with British Storm Shadow missiles.
That is, that in the event of an attack on “old” Russian territory, Moscow reserves the right to attack all facilities of the affected countries, including the US, anywhere in the world. There are many US military bases around the world.
Second, it is important to formally state that – in the event of a US/NATO non-nuclear attack on Russian territory in response to a Russian strike – Moscow can use nuclear weapons, in full accordance with the “principles of Russian state policy in the field of nuclear deterrence ».
Thirdly, since there is talk of possible attacks not only on British but also American installations (and of a possible direct military response from the US), it would be desirable, in addition to exercises for the use of tactical weapons, to have exercises for the use of strategic of nuclear weapons (including intercontinental missiles) .
To reinforce the seriousness of Russia’s intentions and to convince our adversaries of Moscow’s willingness to escalate if necessary, a demonstration (ie, non-aggressive) nuclear detonation should be considered.
The political and psychological impact of a mushroom cloud, broadcast live on every television channel in the world, will hopefully give Western politicians back what prevented wars between the great powers after 1945 and what they have now largely lost:
the fear of nuclear war.

Don’t forget, Russia has its own version of gasbag neo-cons.
Who’ve never held a gun and couldn’t whip cream. Yet want to kick everyone’s ass by proxy.
NATO would need years to build up & restructure it’s forces for a war with Russia. It’s a huge logistical, material and manpower intensive endeavour.
They’ve had two, and done nothing but woof, bankroll and push more Ukrainians into the grinder.
So now the Ukrainians are in their volksgrenadier soon to be followed by volkssturm, stage of mobilization. Whilst the Russian military and MIC are bigger than ever.
The window to actually intervene, was two years ago. When Ukraine was a strong as it was ever going to get. Not now when even the MSM has to coyly admit that they’re losing
Who are these Russian “neocons” by name?
And where do they want to kick everyone’s ass?
The only places that they have been involved with fighting, unlike the US and Western powers, is Ukraine to defend ethnic Russians and Syria by invitation.
And why would have NATO intervened two years ago when it was none of their business?
I wouldn’t term them neocons. That said, you are correct in that historically the Russians/Soviets have always used media to propagandize their views and contextualize fear. One doesn’t have to be a war monger to understand that nuclear war has always been an option, mutually assured destruction or not, in the arsenal for all such empowered nations.
There is a reason Wray and others continually hype the elevated probability of internal attacks. It’s not unreasonable to believe these have been underway for a while now.
The military literature, particularly Russia’s ally China, has long emphasized predicates for war with the United States. It is naive, in the extreme, to believe this is all a one sided dynamic with the dimwits currently in power in the allied bloc the only energy into the dynamic. The whole dynamic of weapons development on all sides of this has long been energized by war plans – call it national security if you like. The pattern of new ports being established globally by China and countries like Turkey, is not accidental. Russia has a long history with its military port and Naval operations out of Syria. It has a long history of intelligence and cyber operations in foreign countries. There has never been much accounting for the huge volume of bio and chem weapons following the collapse of the Soviet Union.
I agree that since 2014 the allied countries have been the sponsors of violence, undemocratic overthrow of a government/Maidan Revolution, money laundering, NATO provocations. That accepted, the global power punching/counter-punching underway has been in place for decades and decades. Understanding this lends itself to better informed decision-making, better planning, better situational awareness.
Note: there has also been US military literature vis the use of tactical nukes for a long time – this, of course, does not mean that it is policy. But, you can be **mned sure it has been war gamed.
Your analysis of the last stages of the Ukraine fascist state are accurate. The premise that the window to intervene was 2 years ago is in error. We caused the civil war with intent to bring Ukraine into NATO. Specifically to station nuclear weapons in Kharkov region, reducing response time for Russia to a few minutes. This concept to escalate nuclear tensions and increase chances of errors on its’ face is wreckless. The Neo Cons also miscalculated on the military, technology, industrial and Russian people’s determination strengths before wading into and creating this mess. As a by product we have caused a solid alliance between Russia and China, stronger than at any time in history. As the next target country to destroy for us is Taiwan, we have insured we will lose that one too.
Is Milley going to give his Russian counterpart a prior warning of an attack?
Didn’t Biden warn that it was Trump who would start a Nuclear war and couldn’t be trusted with the launch codes?
Wonder who has the launch codes in THIS administration? Biden couldn’t remember anything more complicated than 1234
Work the chain-of-command one rung at a time to figure that one out.
Who has the codes? Perhaps someone named Nudelman.
You might have just published the launch codes right there.
And mix up three of the numbers…
Milley retired Sep 2023.
That offer was only good for the neo-gooks in Beijing
Milley and his cohorts are wanting to be awarded The Presidential Medal of Freedom… or another cluster of pretty ribbons.
Wonder what the bribes amount to, for our political class, and those within their financial orbit-particularly the weapon makers, etc.?
Do they think this will be covered up, forever?
Even should “We, the People” be unsuccessful in holding these politicians accountable, there is an other level of Judgement awaiting.
Captured Elite, you say?
DC and NYC are two identified targets named specifically by Putin. I suggest everyone start to calibrate where they reside in relation to these two metropolitan areas.
I’m disappointed… I first read ‘everyone start to celebrate’…
All throughout western history for the past thousand years, we see this pattern repeated over and over. The government spends all of its time working for a few oligarchs, it runs the country into the ground because the oligarchs demand it in exchange for money, and when they bankrupt the country over this, they go to war as a way of resetting everything.
That’s always been the problem with trying to form a “one world” government. Who are you going to blame when you inevitably screw-up everything? Our government idiots are too weak to take responsibility for their behavior, so they MUST blame somebody. That’s why they’re going after Russia today.
I keep saying Trump needs to hammer Biden with these attempts to breach our military base’s by these illegals Biden has let into our country!
It’s getting worse and it’s probably happening more than we think.

War! One of the great deceptions, they have too.
Herr Jotard is going to get millions killed! Are we just going to watch the nukes fly? They don’t want to transform our country, they want to level it!
Who will fight a large scale, sustained war?
I do not agree entirely with following assessment about first causes and solutions for seriously declining recruiting numbers for all services except Marine Corps. The subject is necessarily politicized: inherent to the subject. But it is a starting point.

The article misses/sidesteps huge retention issues in key capabilities: specifically, combat experienced pilots. Air Force has been offering upwards of $700,000 retention bonuses for these aviators for over a year now ($400,000 going back several years); Navy just initiated a retention program for qualified F/A-18 pilots who screen for department head tours (or duty in unpopular locations) that can reach up to $382,000.
Aviation recruiting pipelines in one of the services has adjusted admission requirements to favor individuals with superior video gaming skills. True.
To be honest, it’s quite common for veterans (at least the ones I know) to quietly pass that they do not encourage their kids to enlist/commission and that they also encourage early retirement/separation. Families with military lineage, particularly aviation, have long been a primary source for new force accession. Geographically, it has been Southern tier states that “volunteered” the most on a percentage of manpower basis.
The article covers many of the forces in play. It doesn’t emphasize the lack of faith in leadership (political and military) that parents communicate to their children and sphere of influence among youth.
Having been in/out of MIC circles most of my adult life, TPTB are not terribly perturbed by all of this. Aside from all the rhetoric vis DoD dominance of the Federal budget (itself a debatable matter – until recently), they believe that technology is the guarantor of security as they manipulate events in the ME and elsewhere to push their global power balancing/favored geographic nations (e.g., Iran) agenda.
Most of these people, and the people who vote for them, have no combat experience. Their notions of modern war are all whitepaper bound. Their kids wicker into the political sinecure end of the equation, not the pointy end.
‘Who will fight a large scale, sustained war?’
The issue is not just manpower. Weapons systems are depleted, deteriorating – and no longer superior as the development pipeline has stagnated for decades, producing prohibitively expensive flops like the F-35.
Ukraine and Israel have further drained US weapons stocks.
Can anyone factually refute the assertion that the US and NATO are far short of being prepared to win any major war?
And completely unable to ramp up as needed to remedy this weakness, given the deindustrialized and DIE-hobbled condition of the US especially?
And don’t forget: China can shut off electronics and rare earths etc. necessary for the US and NATO militaries. China and Russia are closer than allies now.
In this context, what the heck is the US really pursuing with the escalation against Russia (and its close partner China)?
The most likely explanation is that the US fully intends to lose a major war.
Why?
Consider the likely end state of such a progression to answer these questions:
US Bloc reduced to totalitarian vassal states under the new hegemony, with US Bloc sovereign debts used to ensure that vassal state.
Is there a better explanation for everything happening now?
Simpleton,
Cui bono? (Who benefits from the end state you describe?)
Obviously, China, Russia, and therefore the rest of BRICS+.
Globalists made wealthy by China as the slave-state industrial engine now driving the global economy they feed upon?
…US government in symbiosis with globalists now?
It seems the explanation is plain as day.
No argument from me..for the most part.
Vis your explanation, it has a hole. Were I war gaming this, I would naturally wonder what the threat expects to suffer/lose. End state is not as you envision if the risk calculations are irrational on both sides of the conflict. You’re assuming a new hegemony is in place, fully functional….etc….as well as assuming the domestic PTB remain in place with functional control of whatever country remains. Escalation has its own logic, it usually doesn’t include ruin for only one party when it goes nuclear.
My posts have been directed at
force structure issues – what we agree onthe fact that there are multiple parties to this dynamic over time – what many disagree with; current events cannot be isolated/detached from what has been in play for decades. Another way of putting it is that there are threats that have acted independent of the agenda of the domestic terrorists currently in power in the US.
‘You’re assuming a new hegemony is in place, fully functional….etc…’
Some observe the signs of a new de facto hegemony rising, centered on the genuine power of industry etc. now dominating the global supply chain.
(As opposed to the faux “power’ of the deindustrialized US, continuing to decline irreversibly due to DIE metastasized in all spheres including education and science.)
With China as the veiled head of the rising hegemony, by virtue of its dominant real industrial power.
‘…as well as assuming the domestic PTB remain in place with functional control of whatever country remains. Escalation has its own logic, it usually doesn’t include ruin for only one party when it goes nuclear.’
Observers suggesting that events leading to major war between the nuclear powers are actually being coordinated by the powers, therefore conclude that there is no risk of nuclear war.
If these suggestions are true, we are all being played, aren’t we?
Hypotheticals are nice…aren’t they?
The issue at hand is whether or not events unfolding will culminate in a nuclear war.
If it’s all theatre and all sides are in on the joke, then quit the histrionics. You can’t have it both ways: TPTB need/want a war to install marshal law, but it’s a sham move all sides are in on in with no possibility for escalation to nuclear levels.
China is not a dominant industrial power. In many instances it is an assembler of piece parts that are imported. It is very dependent on raw material imports in many cases (e.g., coal, petroleum). It cannot feed its people. It has real economic problems at the moment. Heck, China can’t produce leading edge jet engines for its military – those come from Russia. China has not fought a major war in our lifetimes, its “professional” (many buy their positions; use influence) military leadership certainly has no recent experience.
As for American military strength, your outlook is a strawman. The comparison is not to unassailable power. The comparison is to American military power several decades ago. Poor leadership, weak recruiting, declining retention, taxpayers taken to the cleaners over investments like the F -35 all conceded: do you think that there is no power projection capability at all? That those gold and blue crews patrolling the ocean depths can’t exact inordinate damage if all of this gets out of control? That the cyber forces can’t fight in that domain? American weaknesses aren’t terminal before the engagement even begins, the real risk is that the weaknesses drive things far up the ROMO curve way too quickly.
As for the “some see….” part of your response, that is very real and has been wending its way through international relations in one form or another since the conclusion of WWII. Those threads all started prior to Ukraine.
One has to ponder, what’s left after all this Kabuki is done. What’s the denouement?
In my own mind, I do think TPTB are dumb enough to get us into a war with Russia (and therefore China, NK, and the rest of those lovers of freedom and liberty). But I believe the more likely path for them is to precipitate a civil war as the pretext for marshal law. The weapons they really use (the judicial system, executive agencies, media, ANTIFA, BLM, intelligence agencies) are all here.
The really bad news? You and I are just passengers on this piece of unfolding history. For the moment.
Could we just once focus on Hitler wanted the Studenland.? That’s all he wanted.
Vlad Putin just wanted to stop Nazis. He said they were harassing Russians living in Ukraine.
Now, he sorta-kinda wants like just part of Ukraine. I
I mean who could object to that?
After all, history doesn’t repeat. Right?
Cartoon versions of history don’t repeat. When you blur the details a horse and a donkey look the same but that doesn’t change the fact that they are different animals. Your attempts at drawing historical parallels are similarly invalid.
You forgot the /s.
Painting an apple orange?
Hi Clown.
The “Putin” has cogently stated the goals to protect Russia many times. Anyone should actually read his speeches, and reflect if Russian actions match steps to achieve their stated goals. Most news commentators parrot what the western narrative spin masters attribute to what the “Putin” plans are. Russia was not mobilizing its’ people, economy, industry and military before intervening in the US orchestrated Ukraine civil war. They had been integrating their economy with the west and its’ oligarchs vacationed in the west. Their military was at peacetime status. If anything, the “Putin” can be criticized for not analyzing the depth of treachery and intent of the west. It is the US led NATO which is behaving like “Hitler” in a quest for destructive world domination.

lon Musk’s social media platform X will stage a town hall with former President Donald Trump — three years after he was suspended from the site in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.
The presumptive Republican nominee for president, who was convicted Thursday in connection with a hush-money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, will answer submitted questions during the livestream event, which will also be broadcast in a partnership deal with cable channel NewsNation.
The social media company is also planning a similar town hall with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, who is running for president as an independent.
Fed with money and the blood of sacrificed human beings. No good.
Russian military is pre-emptively bombing Ukrainian airfield runways in anticipation of delivery of F-16s.
The stupidity of allowing and encouraging missile strikes from Ukraine into Russia is alarming, but not unexpected.
Seems the US/NATO want war no matter what the consequence will be.
Utter fools…
It’s not “stupidity” if it serves the true goals of the cabal pulling the strings of the US government.
Which some suggest are actually intended to lead to a US Bloc defeat in a major war with Russia.
We need to step back and question all assumptions we are clinging to, in the face of events that seem to make no sense.
Two of the three Russian early warning radar detection systems have been attacked and damaged by Ukraine drones.
This is an obvious plot to weaken Russia’s ability to track incoming missiles and part of the west’s plan to strike them.
Nordstream. Vlad remembers. The russian cruiser sunk with US provided Harpoon missiles and, no doubt, lots and lots of US ‘support’. Vlad remembers. Now this.
The houthies are shooting battle rockets and chinese knock offs of 1970s missiles they are getting from Iran at US ships in the Red Sea.
If some SS-N-22 or SS-N-27s, along with ‘technical support’ get launched at a US warship off Yemen – who is to blame?
The Ukraine/Russia conflict is covered on Judging Freedom 5 days a week. The overall conclusion is that Ukraine is near collapse. The Biden fools are going to do everything they can to keep that from happening so that Joe has a better chance of getting re-elected. It does not matter at all to them how many Ukrainian people die in the process. The Biden admin is a clown show on steroids.
Colonel Macgregor was on this week and had a very interesting map and view of the conflict that serious people here shouldn’t miss. He looks at things from many different points of view.
The whole Democrat party is filled with Communist liars aiding and abetting the demise of not only our country, but the whole entire world! They are literally robbing the treasury and rerouting money congress allocated for the people to other nefarious groups. (Mostly their crime family.)

America and its Ukrainian “allies”
Blinken’s “well-lit” path of Ukraine to NATO may in the end be “lit” with the blinding flashes of nuclear bombs.

Correction for Orban:
War is fed by money and BLOOD.
Taxed money in the present and debt (future taxes) that benefits the few at the expense of the many.
And endless BLOOD. Of the foolish, poor, and hapless, drummed on by the dirty, bloody hands of amoral, greedy warmongers.
Another Eastern European War, where every nation begrudges the existence of every other nation, where pride is fostered by the size of Military Cemetaries.
Not an American problem, just a profit problem for a self-selected group of Drum Beaters.
Obama/Biden want to provoke war with Russia to provide a national emergency to cancel the 2024 elections!
“ and it must be fed with money” and bodies, and bodies… but NO politicians!
So Nuland gets her wish.
Leaders need to go to prison or death
The people who handle puppet Biden have nothing to worry about. They have bunkers to go down into. I’ve been saying the Biden regime was going to do everything in its power go stay in power even if it means the US gets nuked.
