You can tell from the general vibe amid the officials of government, Russia is not playing around with their military approach toward previous NATO encroachment or the provocations by the U.S. The sense is that Russia is in this for the long haul and their structural changes in the aftermath of the sanction regime are not temporary. Putin is a man that is not going to just sit there and do nothing as his beloved homeland is attacked- and I can’t say that I blame him at all.
Let us pray that he continues to keep in mind that well over half the nation here doesn’t agree at all with what is going on and we aim to solve all this just as soon as the polls open so we can vote Donald Trump in- which can’t come fast enough.
We truly don’t know how much “patience” he has. But it is very clear that he does not act alone. Unlike so very many other leaders.
I sincerely believe that future historians will call him (and his team(!) …): “Great.” I do not say this lightly …

If I were Putin, I might ramp up hitting more
weapons depots, and transfer points where new aircraft and tanks come in (airports, etc.). Eviscerated origin points for these new long range missiles, many which may prove ineffective given Russias air and defense superiority.
Hitting Americans or military bases outside of Ukraine could bring the US into direct war w Russia. Better to avoid that while he continues degrading NATO and Ukrainian armaments and supplies. Even take Odessa.
Sadly, Zelensky gave a CIA crafted speech suggesting peace talks just this past week. So either Biden / Blinken or the State Dept is pushing war to help get Mumbles re-elected.

This is the good news in that Christians have an assurance that Jesus Christ will intervene to save mankind from annihilation. This prophecy could not be fulfilled until man had the potential for self-extinction through weapons of mass destruction. Again, only in the last 50 years has this become possible.
It’s both sobering and encouraging to think that we appear to be living in the generation that will ultimately witness the most important event in the history of mankind. As Jesus Christ tells His followers in Luke 21:28, “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

In my opinion, “this pivotal moment” has brought TWO individuals to the fore. One of them is Donald Trump. But, the other one is Vladimir Putin.
Surrounding both of them are individuals who have lost their minds. But, none of them have power.
They covet WW3 but they know not what they do.

I don’t think that most Americans realize what a serious escalation this is. While the country was distracted by the stupid hush money trial Blinken has inched the United States and the World closer to nuclear war. These complex missile systems are almost certainly being operated by American personnel given the secrecy and complexity of the equipment. They rely on targeting information provided by American surveillance satellites and drones.
In essence, the United States has become engaged in war directly with Russia. This is no longer a “proxy war” in the eyes of the Russians. How would the United States feel if Russia put long-range missiles in Cuba and had Russian personnel firing the missiles deep inside the United States using Russian targeting information? Would the United States consider the attacks as coming from Cuba or Russia? And how would the United States respond?
I don’t understand the complacency of the American people. During the Cuban missile crisis, everyone had their hair on fire. Today the attitude seems to be “So what”.
I just spoke about this with my wife tonight. I think so many in the branches of government are on anti-depressants and other drugs they literally are in a dream state. When these things happened 60 years ago it wasn’t so prevalent and we had many veterans that knew the horrors of war.
These people are risk prone because they are literally in a drug induced state of mind and do not act as if nuclear war is that big of a deal.
That is a good point. The people in D.C. making these insane decisions e.g. Biden, Blinken, and Sullivan have never experienced war firsthand and the same is true with most of the American public. In the early 1960s, many Americans had experienced firsthand the horror of wars in Europe and Asia and no one wanted a repeat, especially not a nuclear war.
Good point. Not only have these people not experienced war like WW2 and Korea war vets, many haven’t engaged in any rough sports, fallen off a bicycle, or got punched in the face during a fight. Also, when you only play virtual combat in video games you don’t appreciate that real physical combat is painful and to be avouded.
Most Americans are paying zero attention to the Ukraine war. They have been conditioned to ignore these things, and to the extent they think about them at all, they assume that the American government is doing the right thing, and this will all be resolved peacefully, and they will suffer no inconvenience.
Keep in mind that in our current society, convenience trumps all other considerations. It’s inconvenient and disagreeable for many people to have to spend time focusing on such things. “Nuclear War” is so 20th century. What you rightfully call “complacency,” is actually normality to these historical illiterates, these cretins, propagated by the worst elements of my very own Boomer generation.
Russia doesn’t suffer from these same delusions. They look at FACTS on the ground, and they act upon these facts. I never, ever thought I’d see the day when I thought that Russia was a wiser nation than America, but that day has come, and I fear we will all suffer grievously from it.
