I always find it interesting how some people rail against what others do – yet turn around and want to do the exact same kind of things. “It’s okay if you agree with it.”
That aside – people don’t have drug problems – or alcohol problems. They have LIFE problems. I’ve seen it up close with people I deeply loved, just as you do your family. I saw some of them repeatedly go through “rehab.” Rehab did nothing to solve their issues, denial of access to one substance or another – be it alcohol or a drug – did nothing. It was ONLY when the underlying LIFE issues were addressed AND they made a heartfelt commitment did things change.

This speech wasn’t for the 2,000 people in attendance, it was to reach Lbertarans accross the country, most of whom are regular people. Of course he knew there would be some hostlity. The obnoious ones were the “delegates”, people who were there to support ther “candidate” in their “convention”. I was watching on Real Amerca’s Voce. They said that there were MAGA there who bought tickets, and that there were also Lbertarians there who suppor t Trump. The tickets were general admission, no reserved seats MAGA got there early filled the rows up front and they were made to leave their seats so that the “delegates” could sit in front.

I did not watch the RFK Jr speech, so I have no idea of his reception. I did watch Trump and Vivek. The Libertarians seemed a bit hostile to everyone.
The Trump campaign strategy is smart here. I’ve been saying for over 15 years that Libertarians should caucus as Libertarians….but run as “Libertarian Republicans” on the ballot under the Republican Party ballot.
Trump makes a strong case to unite. Take your 3% loss…or be part of the Administration voice and elected Reps. The only Libertarians who ever win elections are the ones running as Republicans (Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, etc).
There are no elected Libertarians in the elected Democrat party…and certainly none in any Democrat White House Adm that I can think of.
The Libertarian Party has been offered a great opportunity here. And I think their voices in Administration or congressional debates would be a positive.
