I am not a fan of Libertarians. They come across as frauds to me.
The true Libertarian platform is small, limited government, but the Libertarians that I meet are interested in two things, legalized drugs and legalized sex (both pornography and prostitution)
Unfortunately they seem to support big government safety nets. This tells be that most Libertarians are frauds of the greatest order.

When Ken Cuccinelli ran for governor of Virginia in 2013, not only did the GOPe turn their back on him, the Democrats backed a Libertarian as a 3rd party spliter. Libertarian pulled 6-7% of the vote; mostly from Cuccinelli. McAuliffe won with a plurality.

Just speaking for myself, I respect the principles of Libertarianism, but am not on board with what has happened to the concept during the last 20+ years.
Many good people there, I’m sure, but the principles of Libertarianism appear to have been derailed. This is only one woman’s opinion, but saving the nation requires adults, and too many choose Libertarianism for the wrong reasons.
It’s not that different from republican’ts.
You have the political class which is disconnected from the voting public.
I walked away completely homeless when I realized that the libertarian party was the origination point of the “any willing worker from anywhere” philosophy that required big gubmint (taxpayers) to subsidize their slaves while they got rich.

This is what I’ve never understood from libertarians or 3rd party candidates in general. Unfortunately, we are currently in a two-party system in which both sides are so corrupt they’re in the same bed together. Until that is resolved a 3rd party will never, ever have a president elected.
