He was on the scene just outside Liberty, Texas, reporting on the massive illegal community being built for up to 200,000 criminal illegals, and one by all accounts in which the drug cartels are operating. That reporting got little to no attention.
There has been nothing (that I’ve seen anyway) from Abbott who I’ve always suspected of aiding and abetting this invasion. He, too, has a WEF member page. He also has an Hispanic wife. Does that influence his actions or lack of? I don’t know, but one has to wonder. But lots of money and political “donations” are evident. Don’t tell me he is the naïf he pretends to be.

To the person, every hof them is opposed, or at least astonished, at the situation at the border. It’s too simplistic to assume there is a “Team Hispanic” that all supports each other because of ethnicity.
I am white. I don’t support all white people, regardless of their conduct. Why would anyone?
Also, if you think beyond “Team Ethnicity” (and I think that kind of thinking gets many people labeled as racists-maybe fairly) you can see many reasons Hispanics would not support the border being overrun.
If one was Hispanic and was a IS citizen, it would be maddening for every person who saw you to stare or wonder if you were “one of those ‘illegals’”, or treat you poorly because others (who coincidentally share your ethnicity) crossed into the U.S. illegally.
Whether you were here legally or illegally, you’d realize anyone jumping the border right now will very shortly be competition for your job.
If you already live here, regardless of your ethnicity, you are opposed to the increased crime that accompanies unfettered illegal migration.. if you’re Hispanic, the Hispanic migrants are probably moving to your neighborhood, not primarily white or black neighborhoods. The same is true of you’re Asian or any other group in whose illegal migrants would move to blend in.

80% APPROVED of SB 1070, and this was when it was in the news, and everyone was threatening to boycott Az.
I assure you the hispanic ‘bloc’ is no bloc at all, and as stated above, legal citisens who are hispanic are NOT all that sympathetic to illegals.

I know we are all concerned about the drugs and criminality and diseases being invited here. The immigration laws in place are applied rigorously to my husband and people from some other countries, but not to whole unvetted populations from others.
I have said often that there is a difference between the United States (physical) and America (a beautiful idea of moral values which appeals to those from all over the world who make us a nation of one like people).
It is that America which is anathema to those who are deliberately destroying her, whose loyalties to this nation are not absolute or which are nonexistent.
My reference was only for questioning Abbott’s loyalties as he has been late at best in addressing the existential problem which is costing us all…or are divided at worst because of personal influence. I am struggling to make sense, as all of us are, of why on earth this governor has been less than robust (I will say) in fighting for the survival of our state and our nation. There has to be a reason(s), and I am looking at all possibilities.
I have much loved friends from Mexico, Cuba, El Salvador and other countries all over the world. I see all as God’s children. My Treehouse family here, if you were to ask them, would attest to that from my voluminous comments. And it grieves me that you may think something of me that is simply not true or would interpret my comment as a slur.

Abbott not only did nothing to protect our border, he also started openly bussing them to the interior of our country. Based on the question “who do u trust as POTUS to handle these most important issues,” Trump wins by a landslide.

I seem to recall that Maria and President Trump are friends. She is concerned for friend and has nothing to do with her WEF membership.
I can only speculate, but, if one looks carefully at the arc of her very prominent career in financial-economic journalism /reporting, it makes 100% sense that she would have been invited to participate in the Young Global Leader forum of the WEF a decade or so back. Before the Trump campaign and presidency. It also explains why she was probably recommended to join the CFR.
When she was on Fox, she interviewed Attorney Sidney Powell on Nov 8 2020 and did not disagree with or push back on Ms. Powell’s accurate but as of then unproven claims of election fraud. She, Lou Dobbs, and Jeanine Pirro all talked about the voting machine irregularities until Fox management silenced them and the management bent over for Dominion’s lawsuit.
Bartiromo was also the first to interview President Trump in November after the 2020 election. She agreed with him that the election was stolen and received considerable unwarranted & harsh criticism from the rest of the media liars. After the January 6 incident, Maria interviewed Peter Navarro and agreed with him that Trump had actually won the election.
She was named as a target of the Dominion lawsuit against Fox and must have been obviously told by the Paul Ryan management team to limit the assertions to what they considered proven facts (we all know what that meant). Since that time she has been consistently pro-Trump but obviously for lawfare reasons has not been as vocal about specifics of the election fraud.
So yeah she is listed as an alumni of the Young Global Leaders – her only connection to the WEF.
She is one of 5,222 members of the CFR. What does that mean? Does it make her suspect in everything she says and does?
IDK what Maria has done specifically to support the CFR as a member, but this info from their website indicates it’s generally a glorified international professional networking organization.

One of the local churches in our city supported that Young Global Leaders conference held on a nearby army fort. I looked it up and saw that it was shrouded in multiculturalism, Marxism, progressivism, and atheism. It had suspicious sponsors and hidden leadership. I could not support it at all, but many others were fooled into thinking how great and worthy it was. NOT! I’m sure it was effective as a capture of those who met the obama criteria for being useful tools in his USA transformation agenda.

I think there are probably a good number of professionals who were invited and recommended by those around them as a boost to their careers. I’d bet that some were probably appalled or nonplussed by what they heard and saw but remained cool and did not leave as they saw it benefit the careers of others. Once they were “graduated” they carried the CV in their professional resume but did not promote those anti-Christian or anti-American values.
Of course we don’t know to what Maria B.was exposed but I cannot recall her ever promoting those leftwing values or practices. I think she saw through it and quietly realized it wasn’t her cup of tea….

Does anyone really expect a Congressional committee to actually do anything? Yes, they could bring in the principal actors in the Obama-Third-Term White House (and DOJ) and grill them on their roles in the Lawfare schemes. But it would take a Special Committee, like the Church Committee of the ’70s, to reveal their machinations.
The Obiden White House is nothing less than a criminal conspiracy engaged in (a) keeping themselves in power, (b) pursuing their collectivist, anti-Western foreign policies, and (c) working to undermine and eliminate the Constitution of the United States. It will take a body with the legal authority under that Constitution to arrest and prosecute the principals of that conspiracy and right the wrongs that have been inflicted on the citizens of this Republic.

Jack Smith has admitted to violating the same law used against J6 defendants

Special Prosecutor Jack Smith has just admitted that he and other DOJ and FBI minions manipulated documentary evidence underlying the Mar-a-Lago case against Donald Trump. Everybody from Judge Aileen Cannon on down realizes this is bad. Still, I wonder how many people have noticed that Smith has admitted to doing what the J6 defendants are accused and have been convicted of doing: Violating 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c)(2). The statutory charges against the J6 defendants are a specious abuse of the law but they perfectly fit Smith’s admitted conduct.
One of the main tools in the DOJ arsenal against anyone near the Capitol on January 6, 2021, is § 1512(c)(2), which the DOJ claims means imprisonment for a person who “corruptly…obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding…” That is what the DOJ claims happened when ordinary Americans (a) exercised their rights of free speech and (b) usually inadvertently, entered onto Capitol land after masked agitators had removed “no trespassing” signage and fencing and after the Capitol police had opened the building’s doors. The penalty is fines and/or imprisonment, with the latter potentially as long as 20 years.
The Supreme Court, though, is hearing Fischer v. United States, which sees one of the DOJ’s victims contesting the DOJ’s assertion about § 1512(c)(2)’s applicability to the J6. The argument is that § 1512(c)(2) manifestly applies to a very narrow fact set; namely, corruptly interfering with evidence in an official investigation. Heck, it’s in the statute’s title: “Tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant.” Every section of the statute manifestly deals solely with efforts to destroy or otherwise manipulate evidence in a matter intended to lead to a criminal indictment.
Nevertheless, to imprison ordinary Americans, the DOJ came down hard on subsection (c)(2) of the statute because it contains the phrase “official proceeding.”
(c) Whoever corruptly—
[snip]
(2) otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so,
shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.
But while the DOJ is focusing everyone’s attention on subsection (2), they’re ignoring subsection (1):
(c) Whoever corruptly—
(1) alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or other object, or attempts to do so, with the intent to impair the object’s integrity or availability for use in an official proceeding…
Does that remind you of anything? It certainly does me.
It reminds me of Smith’s admission to Judge Aileen Cannon about his and his minions’ handling of the documents seized from Mar-a-Lago, documents that then served as the basis for his decision to indict Donald Trump. (Ignore, for now, the fact that Trump, as president of the United States, had plenary power to do as he would with national security information, unhindered either by prior Executive Orders, administrative regulations, or legislation. But back to Smith’s admission:
Prosecutors admitted in a court filing on Friday that “there are some boxes where the order of items within that box is not the same as in the associated scans.” The prosecutors had previously told the court that the documents were “in their original, intact form as seized.”
As any litigator knows, maintaining documents in the order in which they’re seized or produced is enormously important. That’s because order itself provides important information about the chronology of events or a person’s intent or innocence. It’s also of particular concern in this case because these documents were apparently packed by the General Services Administration, which then told Trump to pick them up.
In addition, it’s now beyond question that the DOJ doctored the crime scene photos it publicized to the world to “prove” that Donald Trump had allegedly violated national security laws. (See my disclaimer above about Trump’s immunity from such a claim.)
Thus, we have two known instances in which the DOJ altered records, documents, and objects. Moreover, the staged Mar-a-Lago photo indicates that this was done to harm President Trump. That strongly implies both corruption and intention, two elements of a criminal cause of action.
When/if Trump returns to the White House, he needs to have his DOJ investigate the lead-up to how Smith and his minions altered and manipulated those documents. And if there’s reasonable evidence that they did so corruptly and intentionally, they must be prosecuted to the full extent of the actual laws, as written (as opposed to the Democrats’ “make it up as we go along” version of “law”). Our nation cannot survive with a partisan DOJ that is willing to violate the nation’s laws to destroy its perceived political opponents.

Fry deeply impresses me with his most serious intent and obvious demeanor, yet I can’t get by the visual of him having a severe gas attack where in his committee–as he realizes what is happening to him, while it is his turn to talk…his facial features remain exactly as he presents himself before Maria. Dead pan only begins to suggest what I see, zombie like comes to mind, or a guy who really thinks and visually expresses a “so what” to Maria’s plea.
In other words, this guy is part of the problem, you could insert a firecracker where the sun don’t shine in him, lite it and I would place my bet his facial features and energy projection would not change one iota.

I believe they can make suggestions of arrests but to WHOM? To Merrick Garland? Congress can pass laws but will these laws pass in favor of the lawfare used against Trump, and how long does it take a law to go into effect, what with it having to go through both and House and the Senate?
