Apparently, the jury was deadlocked with 7 jurors saying not guilty and 1 juror saying guilty.
ARIZONA – […] Jurors in the murder case against a Nogales-area rancher accused of killing an unarmed migrant on his property were unable to reach a unanimous verdict and remained deadlocked on the charges.
After more than 15 hours of deliberation, Santa Cruz County Superior Court Judge Thomas Fink declared a mistrial just after 4:30 p.m. The court scheduled a status meeting for 1:30 p.m. April 29 to allow the Santa Cruz County Attorney’s Office to decide if it wants to retry the case.
“They won’t wear me down,” rancher George Alan Kelly told reporters after the mistrial was declared.
The trial centered on the Jan. 30, 2023, death of Mexican migrant Gabriel Cuen Buitimea, who was found shot after Kelly fired warning shots into the air, his defense attorney said. (read more)
No way the elites let him walk. Garland is already working on a civil rights beef in case the state doesn’t appeal or loses an appeal. Illegals are a protected species.
What they are doing to this man is a sin.
Everyone has the right to self defense and especially against an armed illegal alien.

Mistrial means the prosecution gets another bite of the apple, which was probably the goal of the holdout juror. Remember, the process is the punishment. Somebody should investigate the juror to see what political connections he has.

Tough to actually prosecute for death by gunshot when there’s no evidence (bullet never recovered from body or a bullet mysteriously appeared out of the ether but didn’t match a test bullet fired from the suspect weapon) linking the supposed assailant with the so-called victim. Hearsay and second guessing don’t count. The bottom line is that this incident should have never reached a courtroom and is more likely the result of an over zealous and possibly politically motivated persecutor.
Santa Cruz is a totally democrat county. The Sheriff is open borders right along with Raul Grijalva. YUCK. God bless this country and Mr. Kelly.
