Haven’t been watching yet, but I’m also interested in the “rebuttal” coming up afterwards. I understand it’s gonna be by a congresswoman from Alabama. I’ve never heard of her, but I THINK I know why they chose her. Ever since the Alabama supreme court ruling on IVF, Republicans have been scrambling to make sure voters know they do NOT oppose IVF, even if they’re strongly pro-life. But of course the Dems ignore that, and keep trying to push Reps as being anti-IVF. So I THINK one of the reasons for picking the woman from Alabama is because she’ll have a huge platform tonight, and so instead of each Rep coming out one by one in favor of IVF, she can come out and say loudly, with the whole world watching, what we already know to be the case. And after that, it’ll be much harder for the Dems to keep pushing their lies.
