The interesting aspect to this report is that the former Obama aides and officials now criticizing the physical and mental acuity of Joe Biden are all named and doing so on the record. This datapoint aligns with my retained perspective that Joe Biden will be replaced as the 2024 presidential candidate during the Democrat convention in Chicago.
If Biden is not replaced, it simply means the larger and more influential Obama political team are allowing him to fail. However, because there is still sufficient risk to the Obama legacy for a second Trump term, the most likely outcome is a switch to another candidate (Newsom/Rice) during the nomination convention.

Quite simply, they would not be undermining Biden if they thought he was their only possibility…. not this late. They have another alternative in mind.

I’m with Sundance on this one. Can’t see Michelle taking it. She hated it in DC. And I can’t see her agreeing to do any of the mundane BS that even a figurehead President has to do. I see Newsom, though. However, watch Chicago erupt if a white man steps in front of Kamala. My prediction is that the switch will take place a few weeks AFTER the Demoncratic Convention. Why negotiate with all those delegates and super-delegates? So messy. Too much infighting. Too democratic maybe. A few weeks after the convention, a Biden medical issue will occur. A “pen and a phone” is all it will take to swap Biden out and swap Newsome/Rice in as the 2024 Democratic candidate. Harris will get paid off and disappear for eternity. It remains to be seen how the voters will accept the very undemocratic process. We hate Newscum with a passion here in California and I mean everyone. He will be a disaster for a candidate. Maybe they only need ballots and voters won’t matter?

John Thune has endorsed Trump. The Uniparty has spoken, and this endorsement may very well affect the legal cases currently against Trump as well, as the Republican ‘machine’ now endorses Trump as their candidate. The theatre now changes somewhat, as Koch, etc., indicates that they will now support Congressional and more local RINO candidates. In doing so, the Republicans will allow Trump to potentially gain the presidency, but have a machine in place at lower levels, in order to, once again, thwart Trump decisions.
I just read an interesting article on another site talking about the new recall effort on Newsom in California, and the impact it might have on the national scene. The salient point was that every dollar spent in California defending Newsom from recall (it’s substantial) is a dollar less spent elsewhere in the nation. This is true, but a recall effort also forces him to defend his record as governor, and a recall on the ballot in November when he’s running for president will be something to see.
I wish the California GOP the best of luck in this effort. Not all Californians are insane, and there are still people there willing to fight for their state.
