In the USA we are sovereigns as granted buy our God and our Founders. The Constitution and our Bill of Rights are a contract from the Founders to the future.

My aunt owned a health food store back in the early ’60’s and told us not to eat processed cottage cheese because it was made with the same ingredients as plastic wrap.
Cellulose is used as a filler in many foods.
Read labels. The fewer ingredients the better.

I see the FDA and other agencies are saying now that it won’t be necessary to list all ingredients and are making progress to see that that happens.

Several years ago, this was also an issue in the containers of ‘grated’ parmesan cheese….I just checked the container and its still there as an “anti caking” ingredient….isn’t wood pulp, saw dust?

There were no witnesses. She can’t say what year the assault was supposed to have occurred, let alone what month or day. The whole case was ridiculous, and Trump said so, which is how he got caught up in a surreal defamation case and was hit with an $83.3 million fine.

I am almost finished watching the Putin interview for the second time.
I suspect Putin was surprised that Carlson was clearly unfamiliar with former Soviet dissident Vladimir Bukovsky. The presentation of documents to Carlson from the Soviet archives was a direct troll at the US government: Bukovsky obtained records from those same archives (during the USSR collapse, there was a very brief time he had access before the next government shut it down). Then, Bukovsky wrote a book (“Judgment in Moscow: Soviet Crimes and Western Complicity”) including documentation of the NATO governments, including the US, helping the soviet retain power.
Bukovsky disliked Putin, so it would seem easy to get his book published.
Bukovsky’s English version rights were purchased, and then the publisher put the book on ice for 20+ years, neither printing nor letting Bukovsky buy it back to print. Bukovsky posted copies of the documents on line, 4500 pages, for them to keep disappearing (Mike Benz could comment, I trust).
Bukovsky believed Robert Maxwell (businessman, publisher, British MP, Ghislaine’s dad) and Armand Hammer (World College of the American West, friend of Al Gore Sr., pardoned by former CIA G.H.W. Bush) were Soviet agents. This background helps in understanding Putin’s comments on propaganda and control of media.
Putin criticized Stalin’s indigenization efforts (this appears to include Lysenkoism); this seems to correlate with Putin’s criticism of the WEF/ UN (decolonization, indigenization, reparations, degrowth). Putin also noted practical problems stemming from the unification of Ukraine into the EU, and the closing of the shared border to free trade, voiding an earlier treaty. This seems akin to Brexit’s impact on Ireland/UK trade.

What @McFaul says here is a joke. Navalny was a marginal opposition figure who polled at around 2%. Putin didn’t fear him; it served Putin to have him seen in the West as his main opposition. The Russian gov’t meanwhile has just barred anti-war candidate Boris Nadezhdin. A Russian court has also issued a draconian prison sentence to anti-war sociologist Boris Kagarlitsky. We don’t hear about people like Nadezhdin and Kagarlitsky in the West nearly as much for one reason: unlike Navalny, they don’t collaborate with Western governments. Navalny worked with NATO intel cutout Bellingcat and went through the “Yale World Fellow” program, a regime change training ground. For this reason, we also don’t hear that Navalny was an unrepentant xenophobe who compared Muslim immigrants to cockroaches and rotten teeth.
His death is a tragedy. He was undoubtedly mistreated. But because he served US interests, US state media will make him into someone he was not. And just compare their fawning coverage to their silence on, or even support for, the ongoing persecution of Julian Assange. Or their complete silence on the mistreatment and death of US citizen Gonzalo Lira in Ukrainian custody — universally ignored in US media.
