This past Friday, Biden finally got around to showing his face and darkening the doorstep of East Palatine, OH where there was a train derailment last year that caused a major disaster involving the release of toxic chemicals that is still affecting the people there to this day. Biden spoke for a grand total of five minutes, took no meaningful questions from any of the residents, did not declare a disaster area, and did not offer any assistance. He did stop traffic for about twenty minutes to buy candles at a candle shop in town. Weird, huh?
Meanwhile, a citizen journalist and live streamer on YouTube named “Soup Mama Official” is sponsoring a fundraiser and food / bottled water drive for East Palestine. Soup Mama plans to go there to deliver such things as food, water, and other basic supplies to the people of East Palestine next month. Former YouTube CEO’s son identified as student who died at UC Berkeley-
Marco Troper, the 19-year-old student found dead at UC Berkeley’s Clark Kerr Campus on Tuesday afternoon, died from a suspected drug overdose, according to a family member.
Troper grew up in a family of people well-known in the Silicon Valley world. He was the son of storied tech executive Susan Wojcicki, who led YouTube as CEO for many years. His aunt, Susan’s sister Anne Wojcicki, co-founded the genetic testing company 23andMe and is its CEO. His grandmother Esther is sometimes referred to as the “Godmother of Silicon Valley” and founded the Palo Alto High School Media Arts Program. She wrote a book titled “How to Raise Successful People” that was published in 2019.

it has happened to hundreds of thousands of families across America and I cannot imagine how many more across the globe. I don’t not the back story here, but if there is a single reason to shut the border, it’s fentanyl. Lots of young people experiment with drugs. I did. It is a real thing. Fortunately, I am clean and sober long time. But lets not forget that young people like to get high…most of these young people just don’t know what is in their drugs either. A friend of mine recounted a story from many years ago. Also clean and sober. He was dealing. He discovered the reason why his users were pounding on his door at o’dark hundred all of a sudden is because his source was spiking weed with meth! Crystal..meth..batu. He did not know. But he learned the hard way as now he was facing serious liability. He got out at that time. But not without consequences. About 20 of his customers went over the edge into the darkness ..consumed by meth.
Again, I don’t know the back story. But this isn’t like it was when I was young and just wanted to get high on a blunt of pakalolo. It’s different now. Young people just have no idea what they are getting into.

There are variations on fasting that do not include 3 days of starvation; in many instances, when we used to do such things, would begin the day by having a glass of fresh water with the juice of 1/2 a lemon juice squeezed into it – this would begin the process of the body in preparation for the cleansing that would occur, then, for those who need the sustenance, very light snacks of fresh fruit, perhaps some cheese, during the day. At the evening time, for sustenance, a light dinner of poached eggs on toast; and the next day, and one after that, a similar rendition; with drinking an appropriate amount of water during each day.
The key in fasting is cleansing the mind, eliminating the thoughts and worries of the daily grind of life, embracing the mental expectation at the beginning of any fast to make room for the inspiration from above to be the food of life that day.
Many people fast and find a way to still have food to keep their bodies in balance, as the purpose of such fasting is to experience, even if obtaining a simple glimpse of the reality within the teaching ‘man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God’ – and carry that mental imagery during their fasting experience, as well as carrying the inspirations one receives as a prayer toward the benefit of whatever it is one has dedicated their fasting toward.
About 3 months ago I had a fasting experience.
I was using fasting to lose weight.
I have a swivel, rolling office chair in my garage.
I got up to get something on my workbench.
I almost passed out.
With one hand on the bench and one hand on the back of the chair I was able to sit back down.
I kept my eyes wide open and they were fixed on one spot,
but the garage spun around .
Everything was crystal clear
but the garage was spinning
as if I was a passenger on a carousel.
After a while things returned to normal.
Once, when I was younger, I fasted for seven days.
I was in between jobs and it was something to do that didnt cost money.
It’s not uncommon to have hallucinations.
Fasting is not for everybody, but it’s free and a great way to lose pounds.

P.s…. 3 months ago they recommended I take a pill for diabetes because of a blood test.
Today, 3 months later and 20 pounds lighter, my blood test is normal.
According to the Bible, it’s not stupidity.
That is rude. Go eat and let others choose not to do so. I cannot fast but I admire the Christians who choose that path. Good for them.
Many Doctors recommend Fasting. They claim it is healthy for you.
Your choice, of course.
Fasting means many different things to many different people.
Some skip meals during daylight and pig out at night. Others actually don’t eat.
Three days straight of no eating or drinking is close to suicide. Can’t be good for you.
It might be good to specify what is actually meant by “fast”.
And people with dietary issues that make the “fast” unhealthy should be welcome to participate, even if it is just in the prayer.

U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration is looking for solutions to financially support the Palestinian Authority (PA), the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.
The report came amid warnings from officials in Ramallah that the PA was on the verge of running out of money, which could jeopardize its ability to govern the Gaza Strip once Israel’s war against Hamas is over, part of a day-after scenario raised by the United States and others.
U.S. reduction in aid and the suspension of Israeli tax revenues after the Hamas-led October 7 attack has put the PA “on the verge of financial collapse” as soon as the end of February, a senior Palestinian official told the Wall Street Journal.
Although often criticized on issues such as corruption, the PA was described by one U.S. official as “an essential partner and we must support it. We also encourage it a lot to reform and we help it do that,” adding that “if the Palestinian Authority collapses for any reason, it’s a catastrophe for security, for the Palestinians, for the Israelis and for the whole region.”
The Biden administration would first need to get around a law that prevents it from contributing directly to the PA, due to Ramallah’s pay-for-slay policy which provides stipends for terrorists and their families.
Palestinian officials are increasingly warning that the PA could run out of money to pay salaries and provide essential government services as early as the end of February, U.S. officials told WSJ.
The sources also said that without increased revenue, the PA would be unable to maintain its current duties in the West Bank, let alone take on a larger role in Gaza.
According to the WSJ report, the Biden administration is urging its allies to give more funding to the PA in order for the authority to continue operating and paying salaries.
The United States believes a revitalized Palestinian Authority to be the best, if not only, option for what it describes as “the day-after” scenario in Gaza. However, the financial situation would reportedly limit its ability to implement reforms deemed necessary for such a plan to be carried out.
In addition to the pay-for-slay policy, the PA has been routinely accused of corruption and links with extremists, while greatly relying on aid from the United States and Europe, as well as tax revenue from Palestinians working in Israel.

In junior and senior high school history classes (1970’s), I remember being taught that during the ‘slavery era’, not all were abusive and that many wives of the plantation owners, would teach the slaves, adults and and children, how to read and write.
I think the book used, was the Bible in many cases.

From the time I was 11 years old and could walk to the public library alone in my small safe town, I was hooked on historical novels and then moved on to nonfiction history books. I read a lot about that era, 7 books every week for several years.
What you are saying is correct. The plantation owners were good to their slaves and they were loved by them. Then later in life, I went to Jamestown to see for myself what the plantations were like. I was obsessed with that part of history. It was never as bad as they want us to believe. JMHO based on the hundreds of books I read.
It was after the Civil war, that Democrats didn’t want slaves to read, so they couldn’t register and vote, because they would vote for “the party of Lincoln, that Dems passed “Jim Crow Laws making teaching reading to blacks illegal.
