Yesterday I heard the name Amos Hochstein for the first time. He is the Special envoy from the US who is negotiating a potential peace deal between Israel and Lebanon to stop a wider war. So, I wanted to know more about him.
He was born in Israel to US citizen parents and holds US-Israeli citizenship. He considers himself an Orthodox Jew.
He is named as one of the richest US lobbyists in Washington DC.
Hochstein was named by Obama as Assistant Secretary for Energy Resources in the State Department, but left that post to be named to the board of Ukraine’s largest gas and oil company, Naftogaz. (Shades of Hunter Biden?) He left Naftogaz in October, 2020 (right before the 2020 election) citing corruption concerns.
In April, 2021, Biden named Hochstein a special envoy to “kill the Nordstream Pipelines” one article was entitled. August 10, 2021, Blinken named Hochstein the State Department’s Senior Advisor for Energy Security. According to a State Department memo, “His immediate focus was implementation to reduce the risks posed by the Nordstream Pipelines”. (Sy Hersh said that the planning for the destruction of the Nordstream Pipelines began in September, 2021.)
August, 2019, there was an announcement of huge oil and gas reserves off the coast of Gaza, Israel, and the West Bank – 122 trillion cu ft of natural gas and 1.7 billion barrels of oil. One article reads, “However, the Palestinian people have been prohibited from exploiting oil and gas reserves in their own land and water to meet their own needs and generate fiscal and export revenues.”

Last summer I spent a lot of time learning about WWI because I realized I didn’t really understand how the war started, how the US got involved, and why it dragged on for such a long time. I found a free documentary series on Tubi, excellent series but the music gets annoying because they keep repeating the same music over and over and over. 🙂 The first episode is very very clear about exactly how the war was started. Yes there was an assassination, but the real cause was much more complicated than that. I really don’t understand why Germany is accepted as part of the civilized world after starting both world wars.

Now, one of the things I like to do is go back to the original source and find out what it said. I went back on the very same page where it said that. The figure showed Mexican Americans get even less prenatal care than blacks and they have a lower infant mortality rate than whites. So prenatal care and infant mortality rate have nothing to do with each other. If you break it down further, black women who have only a high school education but who are married, their children have lower infant mortality rates than white women who have a college education who are unwed mothers. So, it’s not race, it’s not income, it’s not education, it’s lifestyle. When you live a certain way there are consequences to that. The media doesn’t want to accept that because if you say people’s lifestyles have a lot to do with the outcome, then there’s no room for the anointed.

The UK has been bypassing its own ban on Russian oil by using a “refinery loophole” to import millions of barrels of the sanctioned commodity in the form of fuels processed in third countries, the BBC reported on Monday, citing two separate studies.🤷🏻♂️
A recent investigation by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) claimed that India and China, which have become the top buyers of Russian oil after the West banned it, are refining sanctioned crude into jet fuel and diesel and then re-selling it to countries across the world, including the UK.
Re-exporting processed oil is not illegal and does not breach the UK’s ban on Russian oil due to internationally recognized “rules of origin,” which define the country where crude was processed into fuel for commercial purposes as the country of origin.
However, the “refining loophole” comes in contrast to London’s claims that there have been no imports of Russian oil since 2022. 😉
Most of the EU has been doing the same………LOL! But they are having to pay a profit to India or China, plus a profit to Russia, so they are paying the price for their own sanctions. Drop the sanctions and their economy grows again.
