There’s always this interesting debate within Republican circles about the State of Texas. The essential question is always about whether Texas is really ‘conservative’, like Ken Paxton, or whether Texas is really more akin to approved Bush type Republicans like Greg Abbott and Chip Roy.
The consistently debated issue surfaced most recently with the attempted impeachment of Attorney General Ken Paxton; which was, not coincidentally, led by the Bush clan of Republicans within the state.
A recent poll from the University of Houston may provide some data for an answer. [DATA HERE] Approximately 1 out of 5 (20%) of the state Republican electorate would support a nomination of Nikki Haley. The other 80% support Donald Trump.
However, it should be noted that while “Bush Republicans” represent about 20% of the Texas Republican voting base, the “Bush Republicans” represent approximately one-half of all statewide elected Republican officials. This 50/50 Republican split is very similar to the distribution curve we see in Washington DC.
University of Houston – […] In the March 2024 Texas Republican presidential primary election, Donald Trump holds a more than 60 percentage point lead over Nikki Haley, 80% to 19%.
Trump’s vote intention is highest among likely Republican primary voters whose highest level of educational attainment is a high school degree or less (91%) or a two-year degree or some college (87%) and who are a born-again Christian (88%) and who are Latino (86%). (more)
As Bannon frequently says, the 80% are the forgotten men & women that PDJT put at the head of the table.
The hard working people who have not been in the room & not in the deal… for many decades before he came down that gold escalator.
Let’s roll. Right over the OligarchWhore Republican’t party & the communist demoncraps. They can rot together.
Unfortunately a lot of these “forgotten people” don’t register to vote or just plain don’t turn out on elections day. It’s a real problem in getting MAGA candidates to win in primaries vs establishment RINOs.
lets fix that https://www.dynamic.gop/c/84-texas
There’s more to this than just “Republicans not getting it.” Remember previously in the 2020, they started this campaign of trying to make people believe Texas is turning purple. It was a LIE meant to shape expectations so that their voter fraud would seem plausible. In Texas, many have been prosecuted for their activities. It’s still a VERY red state but with strong pockets of activist blue centers largely in government employ and around universities. That’s pretty universal across the USA though… most government employees are leftists and wherever universities exist, so too do the leftists thrive…. almost like it was planned to be that way.
I agree it should be fixed but let’s not forget to diagnose the problem properly.
Well stated, and accurate. The large cities have been influenced by liberals from other States, especially CA. Texans remember that the first republic on this continent was Texas. And it was Texans and volunteers that fought to protect the republic.
Don’t believe it was the first republic – not taking anything away from Texas achievements. The interesting part about Texans is that they were brought in by Mexico (1821) to defend against the Comanches. The “lords of the southern plains” had literally destroyed Spanish and Mexican settlement efforts in what is now Texas. Even New Mexico was almost a vassal of the Comanches. Fewer than 3k Mexicans were still in the territory when 30k Texans (who owned about 8k slaves) declared independence in 1836. The Lamar government bankrupted the new republic fighting the Comanche nation which had about 10K warriors at the time. Texan fighting record was mixed but it was also relentless. By 1875 the Comanche were finished as a power. The story of the 50 year war between the Comanche and the Texans seems to have been garbled by Hollywood and omitted from US history (as is the fact that the Comanche defeated Spain and then Mexico).
Indeed. This history is told of peaceful people murdered with diseased blankets. The reality is closer to both groups of people wanted control of the land and it was settled the old fashioned way — with a lot of killing until someone was forced to give in and agree to terms of surrender in order to continue to exist. This is the story of human history in every part of the world. It really hasn’t been until this modern first world technological society evolved that we could effectively manage to do things without massive killing and armed conflict. But for some reason lefty and liberal revisionists want to say “white man bad!” True and false. All men bad (which includes white men) but only the white man has been able to advance things to this point where we could do things in better ways.
Pray that Trump’s style of global policy leads to the only wars fought in the world are BUSINESS and healthy competition instead of the last resort of simply sending armed people and machines over to destroy a lot of things. We have better options today than we have ever had before.
Your statement presumes free and fair elections. High turnout only makes stealing elections easier if you rig machines and keep bloated old voter rolls.
Judicial watch, and other groups have been taking care of that. The lazy excuse making people should get off their ass, and vote.
All the talk by some that votes don’t matter or to vote harder does not help. This is a war and all battle fronts must have pressure applied.
Glenn Rogers is the RINO state rep west of Fort Worth we are working hard to dislodge. He has the teacher’s union money and a ton of lobbyist. His ugly mug is in my mailbox several times a week
My observation as a TX transplant is that support for the Bush regime has declined in the past 6-8 years. Bush support also skews to the bigger cities and to older demos (some of whom were involve in Bush Sr. and GW’s administrations, whom I know).
Considering that the top 10 cities (by population) account for about 30-35% of TX population), this is less support for Bush’s than I’d expect. (Online sources for population are a bit apples/oranges as dates don’t align; also I expect the SMSA population figures are larger than pop by city alone).
“Bush support skews to the bigger cities…,” funny how that works, and we know what is happening to all of our big cities in Texas and nationwide; seems there must be a policy relationship between Bush republicans and democrats who control most large urban areas.
MAGA is the party of Main Street. The coalition seems to encompass blue collar and small business owners. The twist is that Union membership(historically Dem) seems to view PDJT as their guy, while Corporate Republicans do not (Never-Trumpers). Democrat leadership are thinly disguised totalitarians and the mask is off. Multi generation Democrats are seeing this is not the party of Harry Truman. RINO is becoming less viable as a political ruse. Corporate America has a choice between totalitarian and MAGA within the confines of the electoral process. Think they will make their peace with MAGA. Revolution (especially kinetic) is bad for business which seems to be the most likely response to totalitarian extra electoral activities. I’m ok with a small Bushie wing, they have no where else to go.
Dear Lord, let us hope people are wise enough to try mass tax resistance before kinetic revolution…
In the Texas Republican Presidential Primary of 1980, Ronald Reagan barely beat George Bush 268,169 to
250,219.
So Trump (2024 Reagan) is doing far better against Haley (2024 Bush).
Bush “claimed” he was a Texan
When he was really no better than a 19th century carpetbagger.
IOW, Hillary Clinton.
The Bush Cartel has never been’Texan”……….their biggest loyalty is to pedophelia; protect it at all costs. It is the most heinous CRIME and their lives and fortunes are used to keep it safe.
Texan my patootie; the Bush Cartel and the Bush China Foundation are nefarious drug, arms, human trafficking, NWO zealots.
God Help US
Texan, ha …….more like EVIL to the bone.
Hoping the real Texans will seal the border, deport til they can’t deport no more and get the Bush cartel out of the US along with Soros! AND it won’t take a civil war to do it! The Bush Cartel wants civil war; don’t follow their lead.
Dynasties like monarchies should be dissolved and flushed down the crapper.
This will all be mute soon enough! The Feds are dumping so many legal immigrants into Texas from India, Africa and Asia who are all become Democrats that Texas will become blue unless something is done? There’s a recent Democrat elected Judge who sounds like his English is a second language! JMO
Why the ? No ? about it, the color war is being waged everywhere.
Mute and moot!
Exactly!
It’s already too late. Texas will be blue for sure by 2028 if not sooner. All these illegals are being registered to vote by Democrat organizations. The Republicans do nothing to stop it. They sold out to the Cheap labor Business Lobby and are well paid to make sure the border is never secured. Look at that traitor and worthless Senator Cornyn. He supports this phony Border Security bill that will allow up to 35,000 illegals to enter per week before the border is to be closed and that’s just a temporary closure. And all the illegals get an immediate work permit. This is what Texas Republicans are doing — helping to continue flooding the state with illegals. You can just imagine how much these business groups are paying Cornyn to support this garbage.
So you think the Alamo was their last stand??
So the is the gov inot really stopping the flow at the border?! Was it all smoke and mirrors for a photo op? I read that the horde continues to pour in.
Smoke and mirrors, dog and pony; those are the only shows the government has.
We have the new scripts to yank them off the stages.
We the People are filling the audiences with alternatives; real true life dramas with real true answers and plans;
#1 show will be the restoration of a small government; three branches of the tree will remain to carry on ALL the business of a federal government . All the branches with the alphabet names will be gone.
AND back by popular demand will be the government of the people, by the people, and for the people showing every day.
God Help US
Waiting for the new season of entertainment to commence.
Texas thinks the new season will start with war; but peace will be the plot. Closing the border, returning all to their own places to make them homey. Peace will abound……that’ll work.
Hmm… the latinos are mostly conservative.
I always pray they bring God with them.
Moot. Don’t think Texans are responding now?
I’m just as worried about the legal WHITE people from California taking over the state – wish we could come up w/ a way to stop that
What you have to remember here is that the BIG population Centers here are BLUE, VERY Blue. The only thing that keeps Texas Red is that so many people live in the outlying areas. Gregg Abbot has taken a strong stance against Illegal Aliens coming across the border. This is about the only thing he has taken a strong stance against. Even with all of the Law Enforcement on the Southern Border, until recently all they have been doing is turning these people over to Border Patrol and they were getting shipped all over the country.
There might be no MAGA votes in Houston and Austin is blue like Seattle.
I can assure you there are many MAGA voters in Houston. However the People’s Republic of Austin is another story.
When has he taken this so-called “strong stance.” It’s only recently. If Abbott had taken a strong stance much earlier, the magnitude of the problem would have been much less.
Texas has voter fraud in the cities just like everywhere else. Don’t forget that aspect.
Texans like to fight. Haley is a war hawk.
The Texans aren’t the problem. It’s the transplants and big city freeloaders.
wrong – the people leaving the blue cities are very America First and MAGA which is why they’ve left Ca, Il, NY, and NJ.
Agree…I have two adult children there from NJ and they are EXTREME MAGA
Nope. Not in Arizona.
Sorry, this is only half true. There are plenty of MAGA people leaving blue states for TX country – but there are also liberal Californians who want to escape crime and high taxes w/o changing their ideology polluting Austin, which has changed from libertarian-leaning to statist-leaning as a result.
Talk about going from one extreme to the other.
Actually the problem for MAGA voters is the anti-MAGA RNC / GOP who deliberately cheat MAGA candidates from beating incumbent Establishment RINOs in primaries.
The last governor primary in Texas was most definitely rigged somehow.
Arizona’s in the same pickle! And they drive like maniacs!
Not vooooting for Nimarata.
Do Texans like to fight for Barry Lightloafer and George Soros?
No way, Jose.
I think that is an unfair characterization. “like to fight” to me implies picking a fight, punching down, and/or fight for fights sake. And that is the same as a War Hawk.
We are nothing like that. But,”when a Texan fancies he’ll take his chances, chances will be taken”
Yes, that just doesn’t include sending our children overseas for someone else’s war.
This is absolutely NOT the issue.
Bars not wars. (Rhymes in Texan)
This is very true of the oldest remaining generation (including some voluntary Vietnam vets); not necessarily the rest of us
And let’s see how many Texans go to a Nimrod rally, that is the real poll. We already know there is no venue large enough that could hold President Trump supporters at a President Trump rally.
Jump to no conclusions on polling until you look at the internals: The nature of the questions and the order in which they are presented (conditioning), Examine the polling pool makeup (age, income, education level, region, etc.). Registered or non-registered to vote. Look for “glandular” (emotional) descriptors.
All of this has an effect on the final “conclusions”. Many ways to manipulate the outcome.
all i ever hear are republican pols crowing about all the transplants moving to places like texas and florida from blue states…..and when i hear that i want to slap them silly(figuratively,of course..lol)…
this is a death wish…these people coming to places like texas and florida from blue states like illinois, cali and ny aren
t leaving their politics behind...they
re coming for the benefits but theyre not leaving their politics at the water
s edge….anybody who buys that is delusional……..they
re locusts...they move to new locales after they
ve drained/ruined the old one…and the cycle will continue….wake up…
I want to leave California when I retire next year. I was out campaigning for Trump with bottles thrown at me. I have been filmed at rallies for him and took the heat . I am not polluting any area when I leave this state. I have also lived in Texas, Virginia, Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. California is corrupt. I don’t believe Donald Trump lost this state in 2020.
You need to move to another county, simple as that.
Well, on 2/1, we have Gov. Abbott holding a fundraiser for the HD64 incumbent who was named and shamed as one of the 12 worst RINOS in the Texas House in the documentary The Texas Heist!
All Abbott did was tell the Obama/Biden Child Trafficking Cartels to use the other 28 Ports of Entry instead.
All the RINO Governors signed on right away. Smells like Bullshit Failure Theater, kidz.
Abbott is a Bushie RINO.
Abbot is WEF stooge. Look it up, he’s on their web site as a “WEF leader”
I agree
Both parents with Haley were NOT citizens when she was born. Didn’t we learn from that Kenyan BS on citizenship? Sounds like these illegals will be able to run for POTUS soon!Seems fit as I can’t get Medicare that I paid into all my life and all these illegals get it for free!
https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/natural_born_citizen
A natural born citizen refers to someone who was a U.S. citizen at birth, and did not need to go through a naturalization proceeding later in life. Under the 14th Amendment’s Naturalization Clause and the Supreme Court case of United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 US. 649, anyone born on U.S. soil and subject to its jurisdiction is a natural born citizen, regardless of parental citizenship. This type of citizenship is referred to as birthright citizenship. One can be a citizen while not being a natural born citizen if, for example, that person gained citizenship through the process of naturalization.
In some rare cases, a person born within the United States may not be a citizen if that person is not subject to U.S. jurisdiction. In Wong Kim Ark, the Supreme Court identifies two specific examples of people not subject to U.S. jurisdiction:
– Children born of alien enemies in hostile occupation
– Children of diplomatic representatives
Parents matter when the kid is born outside of the US, then one of the parents needs to be a US citizen.
I hope Trump does get rid of birthright citizenship. I’m sickened by all of the “birth tourists” pumping out their kids in the US.
The S. Court really skated around that one! They are a natural born citizen, regardless of parents citizenship. But actually it is “birthright citizenship.” So. It is and it isn’t. Don’t you love it? The framers required natural born for President. They felt that with 2 parents who were U.S. citizens—they would raise the child with American values, customs, etc.
No, The Constitution Does Not Allow Children Born Of Non-Citizens To Become President Of The United Stateshttps://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/01/no-constitution-does-not-allow-children-born-non/
The Constitution does not “allow” the abuse of power from all branches – and it is happening. People are being singled out and persecuted. BLM is funded by those in government to riot and obstruct
I find that article really difficult to read. In it is this statement, in large font:
Article II, Section 1 Of The Constitution Requires That In Order To Meet The High Constitutional Threshold For Eligibility, The Qualifier’s Parents Must Have Both Been Citizens At The Time Of His Or Her Birth
But Article II Section 1 of the Constitution does not say anything at all about parents being citizens.
Can you just summarize the most important things from that Gateway Pundit article to show exactly how parents’ citizenship comes into play? Because it’s my understanding there are only limited circumstances where it does, and none of them apply to Haley. And I want to be clear that I’m not supporting her in any way, I find her completely disgusting and would never vote for her in any election, but if we’re going to make arguments against her eligibility they need to be sound legal arguments.
Can’t get Medicare. That is horrible. I thought Obama made Medicare free for all.
And those 20% Idiots live in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio: huge cities full of Libtards. Many of them escaped from other Liberal hell holes. We real Texas disavow them and hope they took ALL of their Covid jabs and boosters.
Capt. Seth Keshel published an article in his Substack column on January 20 entitled
“Texas will be Blue by 2032 – and the GOP is to Blame”
Here are two paragraphs from that article which contains a LOT of data and good analytics.
“Texas is indeed going to become a blue state, most likely by 2032, and it will be the doing of feckless Republican “leadership,” not the hordes of Californian transplants that are regularly ostracized and blamed for something they clearly are not doing if you understand that Donald Trump piled up historic Republican vote gains in the suburban moderate counties that have historically been instrumental in cancelling out the Democrat metros.
Texas Republicans, after decades of spiking the football, and with Rick Perry calling Texas the “political burial ground” of the Democrat Party, are now running scared and playing prevent defense. It took one close call in 2018 and a third-world election in 2020 to unravel the stoic demeanor of conservatives in a state once thought impossible to flip back to the Democrats (in case you didn’t know, Texas was once part of the solid South politically, and didn’t become a Republican mainstay presidentially until 1980).”
Capt. Keshel offers a strong argument that the feckless TX GOP is ignoring an opportunity to improve their margins by NOT doing exactly what they should be doing.
To wit:
“I have been screaming for 2020 election remediation in Texas since November 2020. In the summer of 2021, Representative Steve Toth presented legislation calling for full forensic audits in the 13 largest counties in the state, which included Republican and Democrat counties alike. President Trump backed this bill and received verbal support from Governor Abbott regarding this bill. Of course, that support never came, and the bill died, and now many believe the lack of action on the third-world 2020 election in Texas is to avoid uncovering mechanisms used to keep incumbents in power.”

I see your article & raise you…
Joe Biden Won’t Win in Texas. So How Exactly Might National Democrats Invest in the State?
Also…
Texas Was Once Headed Blue. Now Dems Just Hope to Stop the Bleeding.
Ok. I read both articles. Did you read the entire January 20 article I linked to above? Remember he is predicting blue by ‘32, not this year or ‘28. He lays out a pretty tough case, based on numbers and visible efforts. I realize the second article you linked is more optimistic that Republicans will hold the state. Two different rationales are being presented to the reader.
I think the obvious implication here evidenced by both articles is that Texas is “in play” and being actively sought by powerful Democratic forces. Republicans have a bad reputation for sitting on their hands until it’s too late. I hope someone wakes up before then.
I thought Gov. Abbott’s efforts on the southern border might have given him at least a one time special exemption from being dismissed by SD as an “approved Bush type Republican.”
But one thing I’ve learned over the years visiting this site is that sundance does not frivolously label any politician. He has cogent reasons why he sticks a deserved label on them. He goes deep to the core with his research and does not forget.
And Abbott is pretending, which has earned him his Bush globalist label.
We lost a dam good chance to have a REAL conservative governor in Texas when Col. Allen West was defeated… 1cas
Allen West was most likely cheated out of winning by a rigged primary. Who controls the Texas GOP? That’s who controls the Republican primaries.
Allen West was a carpetbagger from Florida who, although he didn’t know most of the state, we elected in a tough fight to be the state Party chair and then he quit after about a year in office, and that year was pretty undistinguished. He blew it on his own.
False. West was polling on good internal Republican voter polls at 45% the week before the primary. Abbott was at 11%. But somehow Abbott gets 70%? BULLSHIT
Yes!
This is a poll to continue to divide conservatives. Everyone knows Haley has no path to the nomination, it’s pointless to ask any questions about her now.
BINGO!
I’ve had my Trump yard signs up since bf Christmas and live in rural n.e.Texas….
Trump country!
Rural neighbors know 0biden is illegitimate and we fly our Flags.
I travel Texas and have never seen a NimRata sign, only Trump
GO Dr Nancy!
Thank you!
Bushies are too proper to put up yard signs. But not too proper to stabd us in the back.
I know many people all over Texas, relatives and friends. I have never heard one person say her name.
I voted West4Texas as Abbott is a Rino…..demonrats want to turn Texas blue, it’s been their goal
Uni
party members want Cheap labor and dependent voters
Texas politics is a mess right now with the GOP badly divided. Almost every candidate is a RINO – which has become a nothing word as it is overused. If you voted or do not like Paxton, you are a RINO (according to Paxton groupies). If you did not vote for charter schools you are a RINO (according to Abbott). If you even read the Dallas or Houston or Texas Tribune you are a RINO no matter that you never held office. The state will be destroyed not by the legislatures or even the big cities, but by the infighting at the top, outside money, and immigrants (not the illegals, but from California, Illinois, New York, etc.). A lot will be happening in the next few months and as a right of center Republican I can only hope for the best.
But the voters are the ones who elect these people. So what’s going on with the voters?
Many are selected, not elected. The RINO/establishment/RNC money goes to their candidates and the grassroots/true conservative/America First/Trump candidates fall by the wayside.
Yes, Texas has the same issues as the rest of the country, maybe more so, in terms of our elections being manipulated.
Steven Cheung
@TheStevenCheung
Fake ass letters. Look at the last two. This is what happens when a delusional hypocrite thinks that gaslighting people is her only pathway to relevance.
This looks like a school project, and most likely none of them are old enough to vote. Extra credit to write letters to Delusional Nikki aka Mitt-in-a-Skirt to pump her up and make orange man bad.
Who writes hand written notes on notebook paper? Kids in school…
Were any shaped lie airplanes? Formed into little triangles? Origami?
Oh, and it would be just like Mitt-in-Skirt to tell a child who is not even old enough to vote to send her $$$. She lives for OPM.
The last two letters are not hand written, they were done on a computer. “Republican” is identical in both letters, it’s written on a computer with the same font. When comparing individual letters in both, they are also identical, which is impossible to do when hand writing.
Bogus poll. Pushing the usual President Trumps’s supporters are uneducated crap.
My tho’ts are that Texas, last I heard, has a large Indian population. I have been wondering if we would see it raise it’s head at some point. I think this would be the state for it to happen in. What happens if Modi comes and wants to do a stadium visit with her and President Trump? ICK.
President Trump Joins Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at “Howdy Modi” Event in Texas – 12:00pm ET Livestream… | 22 Sep 2019 | Sundance
I live in Texas, the RINOs are EVERYWHERE
President Trump and the Nobel Peace prize

I suspect Texas will not turn blue, unless some other states turn red.
The appearance of things being somewhat 50-50 might be what’s keeping the US together.
(Though the 50-50 might already be too ridiculous to believe, that exactly 50 percent believes one thing and 50 the other.. it’s just improbable but what do I know?)
If this turns into a prospect of majority 70-30 into perpetuity for the Democrats, with the prospect for far progressive left policy into the far future : then things might get revolutionary. That revolutionary powder keg is what the men and women in the top echelon of the US do not want as they have too much to lose.
The aim is to divide enough to stay in control, not so much to lose control.
I do not think it takes a majority in a country to start a revolution.
Separate thought: With regards to migrants voting Democrat, I am not sure if that is the case even though I saw some polls that alleged this. My thought is once a migrant is in the USA they want a job and they do not want to compete (human as they are) with others for the same spoils .. e.g. compete with NEW migrants .. that take their job. Therefore to get INTO the USA they would lean Democrat, but to stay and livelihood in the US they would lean to a secure border.
There are not enough MAGA candidates in state and local elections. Most of the candidates are GOP establishment Uni-party weasels. And the establishment weasels are backed with big $ funding from the establishment and corporate donors.
In other words, 4 out of 5 do NOT support Haley.
Transplant to Texas here. Along with most of my family. Former Northeast subjects. Lots of ignorant commentary here from non-Texans from what I see. The people I meet from the blue states are escapees like me. They did not come down here to turn the state blue. And, no, illegal aliens are not being allowed to vote. By the way, 80% to 20% versus Haley looks good to me. There are always going to be RINO’s. We just need to continue to make their numbers shrink.
What part of TX did you move to? There are definitely a lot of people who moved to Austin, specifically, from California who wanted to escape taxes and crime but did NOT change their ideology; Austin has moved from libertarian-leaning blue to statist-leaning blue as a result (combined with a possible generational shift toward statism).
JMO.
You are vocalizing the RINO reality of 3 years ago.
But, 2023 wasn’t another 2020 in Texas.
The tipping point was the Ken Paxton trial brought before the Texas Senate by a group of RINOs who were no doubt backed by the W principle of the “COW-coup-d’état against America and President Trump.”
Having watched the whole trial, there was no doubt President Trump’s supporters would carry the day. In fact, nothing was more illustrative of that then when Ken’s lead lawyer, in his closing statement, (I’ll paraphrase) told W to leave Texas and self-deport to Maine.
Ken’s team carried the day in Trumpmanian Style.
But the followup activities nailed shut the RINO TEXAS coffin.
The trio of Governor Abbott, Dan Patrick and Ken Paxton went on a primary hunt together to switch many of the Texas house RINOS to MAGAs. They were called out by name. President Trump has already been working on the RINOs in the US house, including your poster child Chip Roy.
They won’t get all of them but 2024 will be a sea-change in Texas politics, for the good.
“Let’s go Brandon and the democrats and the GOPe!”
I’m sure everyone here hopes you’re right.
These events were definitely encouraging. If only I didn’t know Abbott is controlled opposition, I would be way more excited. I am hoping, and praying, that SOMETHING changed for Abbott. Maybe some hold “they” had over him has changed. Maybe he is being swept along with Paxton and Patrick. I don’t know.
I’m hoping that God is at work – He can use it all for Good.
Agree, Karen. We all need to continue praying for more of God’s wisdom to go into these leaders who have demonstrated a shortage of it up to now.
GB Bari,
Thanks for the comment.
The other good MAGA signs in Texas are happening at the county / city / state party level.
MAGAs are shakin’ the trees and rakin’ the RINO leaves in some of the RINO strongholds, like Austin and Travis County.
For sure, more hard work lies ahead but MAGAs from the state and county stepped in when the Austin city RINOs swerved left. The Dept of Public Safety troopers were assigned to Austin to start arresting criminals and lawsuits and ballot issues were activated by local MAGAs to reverse the RINOs actions.
You might have noticed that one of the coordinators of the Border Truck Convey is located in Dripping Springs, just due west of Austin. In fact the convey will pass through Dripping Springs on the way to the border.
The Texas RINOs are experiencing the same problems as the national RINOs…… the Texas RINOs fielded their A team in the 2021 “COW-coup-d’état” and were found lacking ….. now they have no reserve forces to throw into the effort while just the opposite is true of the Texas MAGAs ….. The Texas MAGAs are carrying the day and are amassing their HUGE reserves for the 2024 effort to push President Trump over the finish line with not only a huge majority, but with the “2024 Constitutional Republic Mandate.”
Capt. Seth Keshel speaks the truth about 2020 / 2021 actions but we differ on the 2023 / 2024 status.
As for 2032, wow, all I can say is be ready for the HUGE major Trump Tsunami changes in the first 100 days of the Trump new administration when President Trump kicks in with his “2024 Constitutional Republic Mandate” to deauthorize and dismiss the administrative-state in the executive branch + his de-naturlization of illegal citizens + his deportation of ALL of the illegals to a country of our choosing at the time of our choosing + the removal of the massive databases that are being used by the globalists to control Americans.
If you are Texas MAGA, be proud, be positive and make a difference by taking the initiative at you local level. President Trump has set the table and you are living through a pivotal point in Texas’ history. Do your part and you will have something to tell your grandkids when they ask “Grandpa, what did you do during the retaking of the federal government from the traitors?”
If you are not Texas MAGA, sorry charlie.
“Let’s go Brandon and the democrats and the GOPe!”
OK, Cactus. I’ll defer to your situational awareness & observations since its obvious you’re closer and on top of the state politics than Capt. Keshel. He has been pretty accurate on most of his political calls, but in a very dynamic environment such as current Texas, it’s probably more difficult to “read the tea leaves” from afar by using reports and numbers as opposed to living within it.
It may have been just the eye opener some people needed, IF they were paying attention. Not to mention the absolute onslaught of the non-stop Foreign Invasion your state has been hit with by your own gubt every day, every hour, every minute, every second for the last three+ years!
Please define: “Almost 1 in 5”
I live in Houston.
Yep, I have many friends who are otherwise sensible, but still listen to legacy media and allow it to shape their opinions.
At least until reality punches them in the nose. At least they wise up, finally, instead of never – like my centrist and left of center acquaintances.
These people play dirty and they’re playing for keeps. How many of you saw this? Can you solve the riddle? Hint” pic to left is bullet hole through glass…connect the dots. I believe they’re telling us what they are going to do.

Not Cool – Alex Soros Tweets: “Bullet Hole, 47”

WEll, the Bushies do have a lot of ties in the Old GOP.
Houston is not the best place to get an honest opinion about Texans. The ones I know are honest hard-working God-fearing people who can see right through the Hailey clown. There are some leftist strongholds in the state, Houston is one of them.
We have been fighting since 2020 to get rid of the electronic voting and the good Christian evangelicals like their position in the Party and are keeping a stranglehold here. It is an uphill battle all the damned time. We got rid of Mr. Smartmatic, Heider Garcia and guess who hired the criminal… Dallas County. Their worthless Commissioners approved his hiring after his debacle in Tarrant County. We most definitely have stolen elections here in Texas and you would be hard pressed to find people , besides the MAGA bunch, doing something about it. It’s demoralizing and I have argued with myself over and over about voting at all. See if you can look up the numbers of voters on the Republican side who didn’t bother voting after the 2020 stolen election. We have a Swamp in Austin as deep and putrid as DC does.
What makes you thing Christian evangelicals=RINO’s as a whole?
Native Texan here. A couple of points that may be a little bit different than what some of the commenters are saying.
So I’m not surprised by the 80-20. In fact, I’m surprised with the 20. A stronger candidate than Haley could probably do better than that.
But there is absolutely no chance in November that Biden will even get close to Trump in Texas. It will be a blowout.
The deep south was all democrat until around that time. I also registered and voted Democrat because, as you said, especially in important local contests like Sheriff, the Democratic primary WAS the election.
I haven’t noticed people being put off by President Trump’s manner but i have only lived here 12 years and Odessa/Midland is, well, not like other parts of Texas. But I can attest that Hispanics are largely conservative.
Yeah, not the ones I know. They LOVE LOVE LOVE President Trump and his ability to speak truth. The fact that he is a fighter, for them, for Texas, for the USA. Texans LOVE FIGHTERS.
These are all just stories they tell to taint your mind, but they ARE NOT WORKING.
People see the corruption and grift and lawlessness and they want law and order back, just like they did in 2016. They want their freedoms back and the gubt OFF THEIR BACKS. They NEED THEIR GUNS, to protect themselves from a tyrannical gubt and the lawlessness they have created.
They want to FORCE US to accept 5k illegal aliens per day. Ramp up attorneys for them, judges for the, courts systems for them, housing for them, concierge services for them, flights for them, handlers for them, headhunters for them, services galore, plus housing, food, schooling, jobs, drivers licenses, walking cash. They are taking over complete buildings, schools, police stations, airports, hotels, motels, towns, cities, parking facilities, open lands, anything and anywhere they want.
While Americans on lists for years for housing get nothing. Vets sleeping in tents or on the streets. Poop in streets. Needles in streets. No law. No order. Don’t call us. Fill out an online report, we’ll call you if we need to.
Gubt services almost non-existent for the citizen. They want you to do everything online and make your appointments there. Because they are too lazy to show up at a physical address to work and serve their public, who pays their wages and exorbitant bennies, not to mention the rent and utilities of those almost empty gubt bldgs standing unused for the most part.
The RINOs represent the ballots cast, not the voters.. we’ve can get rid of Cornyn due to the communist voting in the GOP primaries.. it’s the same for many of the RINOS running the gov.. I have been redistrict out of any representation.. Surrounded by plantation plebs that don’t know any better
Who can Trump pick as VP, who can beat Nikki in 2028?
Isn’t that what you would expect from a state that dominates the defense contractor industry a.k.a. The Military Industrial Complex.

Chip Roy is a never trumper piece of trash
As is the idiot with the eye patch.
I look at the photo at the bottom of this article, and wonder if I can print it out and put it to use on my dart board.
A guy came door-knocking for my state Rep. a few weeks ago. I didn’t open the door, but talked to him through the RING camera. I told him neither I nor my wife or daughter would ever vote for his boss again because he voted to impeach Paxton. The look of amazed disappointment on his face was to be treasured. He said he was disappointed and hoped I would change my mind. Har-dee-har-har……
W stating he voted HRC should be enough for any conservative to exit the sinking Bush ship.
I think a lot of “Republicans” are waking up to the fact that 50% of elected Rs are Bush/RINOs. This last legislative session is opening some eyes with the Paxton impeachment and the failure to pass education parental rights. Coupled with Phelan <spit> giving Ds House committee chairs, more people are waking up. I fully expect the pushback will drop that 50% significantly. Phelan needs to be the first to go.
So if 80% of Texas House GOP are conservatives, then why are only 50% of Texas House GOP conservatives?
Money?
Maybe almost all voters are not aware of the differences in Conservatives vs Bush-ite candidates?
Governor Abbott just happened to be in India during a major crisis.
He’s going to Build Texas Back Better.
Wouldn’t it wonderful if we had that RINO ratio in the CONgress! Instead of one in five it’s more like four out of five. Good job Texas.
Though it is LESS, the echo chamber on the right can be as strong as that on the left. I’ve been seeing Nimarata Randhawa adds on youtube non-stop. It’s relentless. MOST people (80%) see through it the rest either dislike Trump’s style, sense of humor or Queens manner and simply have no idea about reality. But that’s the problem of the left as well. All part of the western global propaganda campaign.
The same stategy that Democrats employed on the southern border, they employed on the Texas border. More and more liberals from California have moved to Texas and are trying to turn it blue. And then there is the issue of the federal government giving all processed illegals ID cards and social security cards so that they can vote. In the latter strategy, California is a precursor of Texas.
Doubt it

Who are the Neocons?
Kristol and many of his colleagues were dubbed neoconservatives, a term introduced by social critic Michael Harrington to describe the rightward turn of onetime liberals such as Kristol, whose extraordinary political odyssey had taken him from Depression-era socialist (Communists) to anti-communist Cold Warrior and Vietnam War hawk.
Neoconservatism also formed the core beliefs of many advisors to George W. Bush, who gave Kristol the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor, for helping set “the intellectual groundwork for the renaissance of conservative ideas in the last half of the 20th century.”

Never trust a Communist. They lie about everything.
