There comes a time in every failing presidential campaign when the political consultants reorganize to take advantage of the smaller bucket of cash. Team DeSantis is not trying to win in New Hampshire, they have decided to put all remaining resources into South Carolina.
Additionally, with DeSantis failing in the objective to win Iowa, it looks like the Christina Pushaw group of online influencers, herself included, have been dropped as a priority from the campaign strategy.

Mr. DeSantis also began moving a majority of his campaign staff — a separate group — to South Carolina to prepare for its Feb. 24 primary, according to a senior campaign official, who insisted on anonymity. And rather than campaign exclusively in New Hampshire this week, the final stretch before the primary election on Jan. 23, Mr. DeSantis will stump in South Carolina over the weekend, hoping that his conservative message will better align with primary voters.
His campaign on Wednesday framed the decision as a chance to deal a knockout blow to Ms. Haley.
“When Nikki Haley fails to win her home state, she’ll be finished and this will be a two-person race,” Andrew Romeo, a campaign spokesman, said in a statement. “We’re wasting no time in taking the fight directly to Haley on her home turf.”
But the move showed that Mr. DeSantis was all but giving up on competing in New Hampshire, where his poll numbers have been abysmal, trailing in the single digits far behind Mr. Trump and Ms. Haley. (read more)
The previous record for spending on a political campaign without benefit belonged to Jeb Bush. I suspect when DeSantis fails in New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina, he will take the title from Jeb.

Why is everyone missing this? The only reason DeSantis and Haley are battling each other is they have both been told the plan is Trump will be convicted and sent to prison and then the RNC will name the GOP candidate for president. That is what is going on.

Here in SC, I got a nice laugh a couple weeks back when the Americans for Prosperity gang switched from Ronna DeSantis to Birdbrain. Basically saying the exact same things. “Trump won’t make it, he’ll be in jail…”.

Looking to the future. We need more than one man or woman. We need to grow the bench. These future leaders need to be schooled by folks other than the local (top down-just like the national) Chamber of Commerce. They need to learn characteristics of the bad actors-what to look for, how to shield against their dirty acts.
Social media has thankfully destroyed the msm media talking heads and their lesser brother and sister regional media who, for far too long, picked winners and losers. They need to be involved. Carpet baggers need to be identified early. Frankly, there is very little local media. The masses are still not informed and, frankly, still do not care. Let’s talk about the game (name it football, basketball, hockey, baseball, soccer college or pro). The distrust is palpable. The Covid jab revealed the traitors among our “friends”, family and neighbors. The horrors of J6 imprisoned has left a mark. Creating a network amongst patriots and encouraging our next group of elected officials and being ready to assist when the SHTF will be critical once the financial crash and ensuing DAVOS/WEF chaos ensues. We need to look to the future beyond Trump. Yes, I am that hopeful that the bad stuff will be revealed and he will either be rightfully restored or get 4 years to begin to fix the mess. But he will need help.
As someone who knows Ron and has even worked on his campaign (as well as Trump’s), I have a different theory. Although I have agreed with you in your assessment all along about Ron’s behavior in his run for Pres, but what if he is working with President Trump? Ron runs to flush out the RINO Uni party globalist puppets (Hailey, Cristie etc) wasting millions of his Dem donors’ dollars and splitting the votes from Hailey (not that she could have ever won but to make her less vote-worthy). The two campaigns (DeSantis and Trump) worked together recently on approving a new RPOF Chair after forcing out Christian Zeigler due to his sex escapades. I run the Tump Club here in NE FL and there’s a lot happening that most people don’t know!

DeSantis really thought he could win the nomination, he thought Trump’s “baggage” (which was created by the Democrats) would be a turn off to voters. He was dead wrong. DeSantis is o-v-e-r. He can’t even run for Florida Governor again, they don’t allow 3 consecutive terms.

Only if PDJT wins New Hampshire will I count either Haley or DeSantis completely out. The Uni-Party has several more scenarios they can play out if either Haley or DeSantis survives in New Hampshire. Right now, all the cards look like the DeSantis move to focus on South Carolina is an effort to keep Haley alive after New Hampshire. DeSantis will try to get a better showing in South Carolina so that he can win back the monied support for the big Super Tuesday batch of primaries in early March.
Trump can’t be everywhere at once, but his supporters can be. We have to work to get Trump’s voters to the polls so he can run the table for the nomination after that. This Uni-Party tragedy will hurt the Republican candidates everywhere. The focus needs to be on the Demcommies who are running this country right now and the Uni-Party will never give a damn one way or the other. They are focused on control of the two major parties at any cost. This reads like a historical novel that takes place during the Roman Empire almost 2000 years ago. I think there was nothing anyone could do for DeSantis. He was such an ingrate to Trump and Trump supporters were offended. DeSantis couldn’t possibly win without the votes of Trump supporters. Really stupid move on his part, and it has killed his presidential aspirations permanently.
I find it quite funny that DeSantis finds himself in a battle against Nikki Haley, not Trump. I’m guessing that was unexpected. He’s over, not just for 2024 but for any subsequent year. I think Cruz is going to run in 2028, not saying he’s my preferred candidate but I think DeSantis will lose against Cruz.
