Colorado Supreme Court strikes again…

I get the feeling that Our President is leaving absolutely nothing to chance, starting the Iowa. The fact that he came in 2nd in Iowa in 2016, and that with the help from Sarah Palin, has got to have been eating at him ever since, with setting up Iowa as his 3rd home this cycle being a strong indication.
Doubt his 2016 Iowa 2nd place is bothering him, but he is very much aware of how the caucus plays at the national level. We need to recall that in 2016 when he went to Iowa there were many in both parties that were refusing to take Trump seriously. That he placed at all was a shock to many, and I’m sure Trump, to this day, still revels in seeing the expressions on the faces of those who would come to discount him at their peril.
A friend just told me Brett Baier announced that Colorado has taken President Trump off the ballot. Is this true?
No, actually the court is not going to do anything until January 4.
My sister, who lives in Colorado, says the RINOS are trying mightily to get Trump off the ballot.
The way I understood it, January 5 is the last day to be put on the ballot.
And the ruling is “suspended” until January 4.
And that would give Trump one day to get the Supreme Court to intervene……
This is way, way beyond ridiculous and dirty.
Even though its effect is suspended, Trump could still file an emergency appeal to SCOTUS tomorrow.

Yes, however it bumps up against the functional part, the deadline for getting onto the CO ballots. Others have offered that deadline as being Jan 5. If true, then pretty tight timeline for justice to be done.

You’ll never undo the Ethanol mandate in the USA. The Ag Lobby is probably as powerful as the War Machine Lobby in this country. There isn’t one elected person in either party that isn’t fully purchased by the Ag Lobby. If any President tried to undo that, they would get snowplowed off a cliff by Congress.
Ethanol fuel is terrible in every way. Even the Enviro-Nazis agree we shouldn’t be using it. It will go away when the Enviro Lobby gets bigger than the Ag Lobby.
Yup it takes almost as much energy to produce a gallon of ethanol as it produces. 0.8 GGE (gas gallon equivalent) of energy to produce one gallon of ethanol. But it is worse, fuel mileage is reduced by 30% using ethanol.
Burning ethanol also produces more pollution at the tailpipe.
It is also impossible to ship via pipeline because it’s so hydrophilic, it absorbs too much water on the way, so must ship via truck or rail.
Not to mention how hard it is on machinery.

In Colorado to be a write-in candidate, one must apply and pay a $500 fee to get on the certified write-in list. The deadline is Dec 29.
Below is a link to the Colorado Secretary of State’s detailing of the rules. Not sure how the Colo court’s decision impacts it, but would guess he wouldn’t get approved for the write-in approach.
