Last Tuesday, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) pressed the presidents of the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard and MIT about rising antisemitism on college campuses and whether the speech calling for “intifada” or the elimination of the Jewish people violates their schools’ codes of conduct. The alarming responses are now leading to severe blowback on the presidents.
“Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate Penn’s rules or code of conduct?” Rep. Stefanik asked. “It is a context-dependent decision,” replied UPenn’s Elizabeth Magill. “If the speech becomes conduct, it can be harassment.” Stefanik was stunned. “‘Conduct’ meaning committing the act of genocide?” an incredulous Rep. Stefanik asked. “The speech is not harassment. This is unacceptable.”
The New York Republican then went on to ask each of the university presidents the same series of questions.
“Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate Harvard’s rules on bullying and harassment?” she asked Harvard’s Claudine Gay. “It can be, depending on the context,” Ms. Gay responded. “What’s the context?” Rep. Stefanik followed up. “Targeted at an individual,” the Harvard president said. “It’s targeted at Jewish students, Jewish individuals,” Rep. Stefanik shot back. “Do you understand your testimony is dehumanizing them? Do you understand that dehumanization is part of antisemitism?” WATCH:
Today, Ms. Liz Magill was removed from her position as U-Penn president.
(Politico) – […] University of Pennsylvania President Liz Magill on Saturday voluntarily stepped down from her role after facing intense blowback following a House Education committee hearing this week.
Magill has agreed to stay in her role until an interim president is selected, according to a statement from Penn Trustee Board Chair Scott Bok.
“It has been my privilege to serve as President of this remarkable institution,” Magill said in the statement. “It has been an honor to work with our faculty, students, staff, alumni and community members to advance Penn’s vital mission.”
Magill, along with Harvard President Claudine Gay and Massachusetts Institute of Technology President Sally Kornbluth, participated in a contentious, more than five-hour grilling from lawmakers Tuesday over their response to antisemitism on their campuses.
[…] Magill is the first president to step down over a response to campus antisemitism. Stefanik called for all three presidents to be fired after the hearing. And in response to their testimony, several lawmakers and top officials across the aisle have slammed the presidents for refusing to say calls for “Jewish genocide” violate their codes of conduct around bullying or harassment.
[…] Stefanik, who led the toughest questioning at Tuesday’s hearing and has called for all of the presidents to be fired, wrote on X that Magill’s “forced resignation” is only the beginning for addressing antisemitism on college campuses.
“One down,” Stefanik said. “Two to go.” (read more)
This is what happens when we stop pretending the leftists are stable people; they are not.
Leftism, in the most modern and culturally Marxist ideology, is fraught with intended hypocrisy. If the word “Jew” had been replaced with any other characteristic of personage like black, Latino, gay, lesbian etc., and the same question about pronouncements for the elimination of people carrying those characteristics was questioned, the answers would have been entirely the opposite. This is the nature of hate-filled leftist thought.
Stefanik called it out openly; she did not pretend. Now we see the consequences.
Let us hope that more people can begin calling out the pretenses, the absurd ideological hypocrisy framed from hate, that forms the culturally Marxist mindset.

She lost her chair but she was not removed. She is sitting down at the law school, sailing along.
Teaching lawfair no less, it could be argued on .
This is the same damn thing as being kinda pregnant.
She is either employed with that fing agenda or not.
Sack her!
The flat out only reason that she was removed from the presidency was because there was a $100,000,000 donation on the line. Hopefully the donor will still withhold that donation because this isn’t just a tiny problem with the hateful calling for the elimination of Jewish people that hasn’t stopped with her being removed.
Thornton Mellon knew what big donations were supposed to reap: a passing grade. Magill flunked.
Tenured…she lost nothing but a title and office.
Genocide Requires Context: IF my funding comes from Globalists (Wall Street, City of London, China) who want to destroy Western Civilization by a Replacement Invasion of Non Whites in into White Countries as part of their global business model to destroy the nation state, than its OK by me.
Jews now (Whites not far behind).
Look at the Decolonization of Africa. Whites attacked and dislocated and behind it is Chinese colonialism and barbarity.
The same spirit of the anti-Christ that is behind anti-semitism is behind “anti-Christianism.” These are the only two religions where it is okay to discriminate, harass, shut-up and eliminate their followers in the US and Europe today. Sadly, the universities–many of whom were like Harvard: founded by devout Christian to train and education the next generation of Christian ministers–are supporting the spirit of the anti-Christ–in spades.
No, it doesn’t necessarily hurt the university president, but all the publicity is really damaging the brand of the Ivy Leagues, and they seem to be more sensitive to brand damage than to defunding (they don’t really need donors; they have self-sustaining levels of wealth).
Imagine the Ivies with little or no competition to get in…!
Various alumni organizations are working to bring the pain to other universities even as we speak!
Having a few 9 figure donors rescind is just showmanship. That money will be offset and enrollment shored up, probably by us.
If the school was serious about their education mission, the board would be escorting this abomination off campus.
They would then make it clear if this is what you think is acceptable from a student or facility standpoint, transfer to F-ing Berkley.
The end.
It is real simple to nip in the bud.
Another treehouser said, if you substituted any other race, color or sexual orientation into the protest, it would be cardinal on the sin scale.
They’d all been coached by a liberal lawyer. How’d that work out for you ‘ladies,’ aside from showing you don’t have the correct answer in you to give, so you had to consult with said lawyer for a way to keep your job without giving up your smug racist pig stance. Disgusting
Who might said lawyer be?
It doesn’t appear to have been said . . .
I think we know….
Who. Is. It. ?
The University Presidents should have had copies of their code of conduct at the hearing. Then they could have read back to Stefanik the code text about free speech. Instead, they tried to “wing it” with their Postmodernist perspective and lawyer coaching, apparently. Big fail when dealing with Stefanik.
https://provost.harvard.edu/files/provost/files/non-discrimination_and_anti-bullying_policies.pdf
Code of Conduct non-discrimination and anti-bullying policy easily accessible to everyone in that room. Being it is posted on school website it could have been “updated”, though.
The Section of the Harvard Anti-Bullying Policy seems to relate to speech calling for violence. (genocide)
“Bullying may include, but is not limited to, the following behaviors: • Abusive expression directed at an individual or individuals, such as derogatory remarks, epithets, or ad hominem attacks that are outside the range of commonly accepted expressions of disagreement, disapproval, or critique in an academic community and professional setting that respects free expression. The Policy encompasses abusive expression or ad hominem attacks that are verbal or nonverbal, spoken or written, recorded, visual, or digital, including content posted to online platforms, academic tools, or social media sites. Examples include: o Performance feedback delivered by yelling, screaming, making threats3 or gratuitous insults. o Deliberate and repeated humiliation. This could include actions such as deliberate and repeated shaming of peers on online platforms in response to ideas, beliefs, or opinions shared in the classroom. o Malicious comments about a person’s appearance, lifestyle, family, or culture.“
Too bad AOC doesn’t have as much intelligence as Stefanik. I like Stefanik’s strength and straightforward attitude. We have known she has what it takes since the day she challenged Comey during his testimony about hillary.
Dixie,
I made this connection too. Elise put on the spot, fired in disgrace, FBI’s Comey the clown, when she asked the hard question “when did the FBI notify” congressional oversight (Gang of 8) of an illegal spying operation (Crossfire Hurricane) of the Trump campaign then later the presidency.
“That’s a good question”-Comey the clown. Nope, that’s a right question to ask. Elise tends to ask the right questions.
Elise was the youngest female elected to congress until the Dems/Socialist elected a bartender socialist AOC.
Gives “context” to the caliber of their constituents.
Good riddance. Hopefully more people in this country will wake up to the hate filling these “higher education” classes institutions.
This is happening.
And alumni are demanding from the universities, “What are you doing to our brand? You said as graduates we could get great jobs, but how does that work when people see the university name on our resumes and start laughing?”
Being a “brand pariah” is real. I graduated from Berkeley in 1965 – the “Free Speech” riots was my new brand taint that I never signed up for, but stuck to our graduating class. We all either went straight to Haight Ashbury; or we went underground and tried to be norma and anonymousl.
Wow, thanks for sharing that.
The Israelis are reported to have started using sea water to flush Hamas Rats out of tunnels.
Elise Stefanik used verbal sea water to flush these Ivy League Rats out.
Boiling sea water.
Take that “river to the seawater” into your tunnels Hamas!
I like “From the sewer to the sea, Israel shall be free”. I saw that on another site
That is just the same as the Palestinians talking about the Jews. How are you any different? You should at least try to be better than those you declare as “rats.”
Who is Palestine?
Who is it that has continuously demanded the eradication of the other state in opposition to any options ventured by various mediators of the “Two State” talks?
Right, the one that takes pleasure in sending the pictures and videos of their family members they torture, rape, and murder to the living family members.
Plenty of that video evidence out there To The World From Hamas.
So removing a permanent threat is actually self defense.
The difference is they (Israel) do NOT relish, Revel, and GLORY in the violence they are forced to commit in self defense. Unlike their attackers, like HAMAS and The Muslim Brotherhood, who do relish, Revel, and GLORY in their atrocities they commit in their need to “dirty” their victims. These islamists are very sick people.
The problem for Muslims is Islam, their moon-goddess hate-fest religion. It has no traditional ethics that are moral by any sane standard. Most ‘Palestinians’ are Muslim. Most Israelis are not ‘religious’, but Judaism had a high moralty from ancient times – one that required good treatment of strangers, among much else.. That has always remained, but honestly, Islam is SO hateful and insane that it rubs off on others. If the Israelis treat Muslims nicely, quite often they get murdered. Oct 7 was an example. So, over time, they’re getting ever more hard-edged. And I’m sure they hate the Muslims for forcing them to be so. How long could ANYONE live in that crazy, violent, hate-filled world and not become just as violent? This is a serious moral delimma for them.
Well said.
While on the subject, Elise should have asked if only white people can be implicitly biased as it is implied in all schools and employee diversity trainings.
That’s a great point. I also wonder why the Jewish members of Congress are not defending their own?
One reason is that their ethne has been the one funding most of the promotion of white genocide that the Ivies have helped lead. The extreme hypocrisy would be too much to put on such obvious display.
Where has the outrage about what they as a group have been doing for so many years to whites/native europeans?
Yeah, that’s a good question.
Representative Elise Stefanik – she is quite the skillful and courageous interrogator . . .
She is a Harvard grad – one assumes now one of the affirmative action token women. Just bright and talented.
“Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate Penn’s rules or code of conduct?” Rep. Stefanik asked. “It is a context-dependent decision,” replied UPenn’s Elizabeth Magill. “If the speech becomes conduct, it can be harassment.”
Isn’t Magill saying that if genocide is committed (genocide would refer to killing a certain portion of the Jews on campus”…that It MIGHT be considered harrassment?????
Those who hate Jews have absolutely nothing to fear from these yahoos–no matter what they think or say or do.
I wonder what else is POSSIBLY considered harassment under campus regulations? Rape? A good physical beatdown? Pulling the fingernails of a freshman out? Stealing someone’s car or $1,000 of their cash?
If killing a Jew (that IS what genocide is) not only is defined as harrassment, but even then only POSSIBLY harrassment….sheesh.
Rush Hudson Limbaugh warned about it repeatedly in the 1990s: “We’re losing the language….and when you’ve lost the language….” He was so everlasting right.
I MISS RUSH. MY LIFE WAS ALTERED WITHOUT HIM.
“If the speech becomes conduct, it can be harassment.”…
Actually if the speech becomes conduct it’s attempted murder!
…well, that’s sort of what I thought, so I was trying to finesse out exactly what their perspective is………………….
😉 You would think that the head of a law school would know that but they don’t!
Also, can you define “woman” for me?
Sane board members and donors would’ve fired these nutjobs from their posts within a day. Taking 5 to force a resignation 1 person who is clearly satisfied and proud of what she’s doing is pretty damning of the whole system.
These women are publicly advocating for mass murder and trying to parse their stance by using “context” as the foundation for it.
This should be a crime, as these women are in charge of thousands of impressionable young adults.
Typical of hard core Lefties!
I would lock them up and throw away the keys!
she no doubt has a contract and she’ll get a lot of money. That she reigns on in the law school implies she was not fired or cause. This is a huge embarrassment for the Penn BOD.
She can become the new Director of the Biden Selling Public Office for Private Gain Institute
McGill will almost certainly be replaced with an identical Marxist clone. That is about all that exists in the upper echelons of academia after decades of ideological purity-testing. From what I understand it is basically impossible to get tenure at any major university today without both LITERALLY and figuratively swearing an oath of allegiance to Marxism, DEI, CRT and anti-Americanism. That is true regardless of the field of study. It even infects medicine, science and engineering. If you don’t believe me pick any school and look up their online catalogue of course descriptions. You will see EVERY course is saturated with “intersectionality,” “narratives of oppression,” “anti-colonialism,” and of course LGBTQxyz#$%&.
These liberal women all look the same – plain, ugly and smug. “Getem outta here” as someone we know would say.
Well actually not. Only the white one has been forced out. Her black counterpart at Harvard still has her job. This is no accident.
And further, what is free speech? Some think the River to the Sea phrase is some ‘call for genocide’ but that’s ridiculous. It isn’t any such thing. If you believe in the First Amendment you recognize the difference between interpreting something a certain way and the actual meaning of a phrase, and between expressing an opinion and promoting violence.
Just like …….Put y’all back in chains” …… is neutral on its face.
“From the river to the sea” is a well known genocidal phrase used by the Poor Poor Pitiful Pals for a long time, it’s a matter of historical record.
There are no degrees of acceptability for promotion of genocide.
How other can from the river to the sea be interpreted?
Regardless of how one interprets “from the river to the sea” that wasn’t the issue in the hearing. Ms. Stefanik asked them the hypothetical if calling for the genocide of the Jews was bullying and harassment. And these empty-headed women “leaders” only responded with identical mealy-mouthed lawyer-speak about “context.”
The Congresswoman rocked but it would have been even better if she substituted blacks or gays or transsexuals for Jews in the hyopthetical.
Claudine Gay looks like a freaking alien being.
From the river to the sea means removal of Israel/Jews. Your argument is similar to someone saying that ‘antisemitism’ is meaningless as Arabs are semites as well. There is a collective understanding of what these phrases mean.
Your reply does not compute with my post. I didn’t say anybody was forced out. I said “gettem outta here” meaning we want them out. And the rest of your post is hogwash.
What about Chuck Schumer & Co’s silence on Louis T Farrakhan’s “Anti-semitism”?
They chased down and publicized nazi Eichman but not Nazi death Camp Commander of Jasenovac Dinko Sakic who they purposefully ignored and let run around Argentina for years openly. So are Nazis & Anti-semitism genuine or theater?
Not so smart.
This is one of Rep. Stefanik’s most effective and deserving skewerings of lefty loons. Like the SCOTUS nominee that couldn’t explain what a woman is, these nitwits show rational America how dangerous equity hiring is. While I watched their testimony, some of the many females and males that could have been hired instead based on qualifications and intelligence came to mind.
Instead, the student populations in all of these indoctrination centers are being deliberately and systematically inculcated and ruined intellectually –unless they were already aware of the ludicrous left’s madness.
Stefanik’s use of the word ‘dehumanization’…hits the nail on the head. Step 4 of genocide.
What is it with these women in power??? Or is it the dark spirited men who push them to do this???
We are well polarized…(#6)

Link also useful when advocating for loved one in nursing home.
It is the power of MONEY.
LOSER ELITIST.
Jordon Peterson has called out women’s studies professors at all universities as the root cause of “wokism”. A former Harvard professor himself, he now recommends trade school for our children
If the word “Jew” had been replaced with “Muslim” what would have been the answer?
What about white/native european? Where is the outrage? Which group has been funding that jihad?
As it’s relatively easy to find out who funds Hamas et al (eg Who funds Hamas? A global network of crypto, cash and charities | Reuters) for “humanitarian” reasons (without “fact checking” to which extent the aids help people to escape from poverty) IMO these are much more interesting questions:
Instead of condemning these women, perhaps we should pray for them. It will be more effective in changing them than all our condemnation
Relax. They’re not being condemned, just criticized. And they’re not reading here anyway, so nobody is trying to “change them.”
In fact, I’m certain that thumping them over the head with a Bible wouldn’t “change” them. Slapping them with legal or punitive actions might.
Your right. They don’t read here and me thumping them on the head with a Bible probably won’t change them. But God can and that’s who we are praying to.
God never forces anyone to do anything, regardless of how much you pray.
He did to a very hard-edged Jew named Saul of Tarsus. And Saul was NOT praying for conversion.
What if someone was calling for your extermination? Would that bother you? Should the person/persons calling for your death be condemned or just get some prayers?
The people running this country are calling for my and your extermination almost daily. The Covid vax is a prime example of their efforts. All the more reason why I pray for them. That doesn’t mean I don’t take steps to prevent that from happening. That’s one of the prime reasons why I am on this site daily.
Harvard Student Handbook – In the section titled ” Harassment” on pdf page 51 it says the following about speech:
“It is important to note here that speech not specifically directed against individuals in a harassing way may be protected by traditional safeguards of free speech, even though the comments may cause considerable discomfort or concern to others in the community.”
Perhaps the Harvard President Liz Magill could have read that statement to Representative Elise Stefanik and avoided a bad situation.
However, when advocating genocide or elimination of a certain group of people, that is directed at individuals and would violate the Harvard handbook.
Here is a URL link to the Harvard Student Handbook:

Correction: The Harvard President is Claudine Gay, not Liz Magill. Now it is too late to modify the original post.
There is an invisible edit button bottom right of post. scroll over it and it will reveal itself.
There is a timer on it, about ten minutes I believe, don’t catch your error in time and you’re stuck with it.
Parents and grandparents are hearing the same Jewish death chants they heard during the Iranian Islamic Revolution some 44 years ago forcing them to flee their homes of 2000+ years.
Interesting discussion! I believe in free speech, which is why I also frequent Gab. And I know many here abhor Gab because of the antisemitism over there; which there is, IN ABUNDANCE. But the beauty of Gab and their ‘free speech’ forum is that I can put all the anti-Semites on IGNORE. Just like the kids at those campuses can just walk away from the bullhorns. Just like the liberals could change the dial on their radios and turn off Rush Limbaugh.
The problem is, the liberals didn’t want to change their dial and instead tried to shut down Rush. And people won’t join Gab because they don’t want to use the ignore button. And college kids that won’t pass by the bullhorn bullies because maybe they’re either afraid, or peer-pressure, or maybe their grade is dependent on attending, or maybe they stick around in hopes of seeing chaos and mayhem?
All I feel is that free speech, (short of yelling ‘FIRE’ in a crowded venue), which has been limited since Obama to those of us who treasure it and have had it taken away, is PRECIOUS.
We have several choices and yes, free speech can be ugly and vile and evil but I can: walk away – turn it off- ignore it – not go to Democratic Underground, (LOL!) or choose to try and shut them down. I would not do the latter because, why stop your enemy while they’re busy burying themselves?
If they were burying themselves.
They are calling for the death of all in a minority group because they are a minority group. There is no more dangerous position then that.
This is not rude or simply repugnant it is not simply “hate speech” whatever that is, this is a movement gaining traction by calling for the death of all jews.
They are screaming fire in a crowded synagogue while these enabling universities bar the door.
Penn President Liz Magill announced she would resign, but she keeps her highly paid full professorship at the law school. Cry me a river.
Commies like the word context a lot. Everytime they screw up too bad to hide from it they usually say they were taken out of context.
Now there’s a real potential Vice Presidential candidate for President Trump.
University of Pennsylvania President Elizabeth Magill resigned on Saturday following her disastrous testimony during a congressional hearing on campus anti-Semitism.
UPenn Board Chair Scott Bok also resigned on Saturday.
“I write to share that President Liz Magill has voluntarily tendered her resignation as President of the University of Pennsylvania,” Scott L. Bok – the chair of the Penn Board of Trustees – stated on Saturday. “She will remain a tenured faculty member at Penn Carey Law.”
The message included a quote from Magill that read: “It has been my privilege to serve as President of this remarkable institution. It has been an honor to work with our faculty, students, staff, alumni, and community members to advance Penn’s vital missions.”
Bok also tendered his resignation.

Suffer baby suffer!
A student at New York University was apparently suspended and lost her scholarship after it was discovered she had taken down posters featuring Israeli hostages who had been abducted by Hamas terrorists on October 7. She was also denied campus housing until fall 2024.
Hafiza Khalique spoke with BreakThrough News, saying that “[b]ecause I was suspended, I would have to move off campus after the semester, essentially kicking me out of the dorms, leaving me unhoused, and also denying me access to any higher education until fall 2024.”
https://www.theblaze.com/news/pro-palestine-nyu-student-says-she-was-suspended-lost-scholarship-after-tearing-down-posters-of-israeli-hostages
I am so pleased to see how you’ve come a long way, Baby. DIE (Diversity/Inclusion/Equity) has worked marvels for womankind. I particularly liked the hairstyle of President Gay from Harvard. The days of white males like Larry Summers are gone forever.
All of this obfuscation has the eerie smell of, “I’m not a biologist, Senator” all over it.
What is it about “elite college intellectuals” that prevents them from simply saying yes or no?
(Short answer: Satan)
What would these professors have done when they gave a test with yes/no answers if students had refused to answer and instead wrote “It depends on context” for every question? I wonder if that student would pass or fail? I suppose it depends on context.
Substitute white for jew , white hate is the only true hate that’s allowed.
It’s promoted and celebrated, not just merely allowed. And look who funds most of it.
Kornbluth and Gay will suffer no consequences at all. Kornbluth because MIT’s donors don’t give a rats ass, Gay because … nevermind, we know why.
Magill was the “whitest” of the three-so she has to take the hit. None are fit to lead those institutions. A shame.
Mention Sodom and Gomorrah in the context of LGBTQI+++ groups on these campuses and see if they consider it “harassment.”
The still picture of Magill with that smirk on her face is not an accident as she wore it the whole time. Its as if she thought the whole thing was a joke. Like the important thing was to be seen fighting a Republican rather than listening to the questions. I’ve noticed that lots of dumb people who don’t know they’re dumb have that same smug idiot look.
But Magill had a plan. She and the rest would fall back on the 1st Amendment. That’ll fool those dumb Republicans! A Free Speech absolutist would say that there is a right to say anything short of inciting violence. This is where the Three Stooges planned to hide. They would at most admit that calling for the death of all Jews could be harassment, “depending on the context”.
That’s where the first problem arose. The context was mobs of Palestinian supporters roving around the campus chanting for the death and extermination of Jews and actively looking to find some Jews. None of that activity is protected under the 1st Amendment. And its certainly not a good look for a prestigious university.
But more importantly, that’s not what Ms. Stefanik asked about. She wasn’t talking about the Constitution. She was talking about the colleges specific Codes of Conduct. Codes that have been used to take away the speech of anyone who isn’t a mouth breathing Leftist. Codes that punish people if someone, somewhere could possibly feel threatened by the words spoken.
Ms. Stefanik asked these idiots if the anti-semitic chants, the calls for Intifada and genocide, were harassment and bullying under the Codes of Conduct. All three morons talked about free speech and context. That’s not what she asked. She asked if calling for the death of Jewish students by other students was harassment or bullying under the Codes of Conduct. Its an easy question to answer because the Codes have been used to punish students for saying much less than the Palestinian supporters were chanting. But these “educators” were either too dumb to even understand the question or they were blatantly lying. Either way, if you’re running these schools you cannot have these people being the face of your university any longer.
As Mike Tyson so eloquently stated, “everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face” and Ms. Stefanik landed some brutal haymakers and uppercuts.
Look up Dunning Kruger effect.
Exactly. Those codes of conduct and speech are VERY anti first amendment. Theyll shift to either in order to fit their narrative, and Ms. Stefanik was very aware of that.
“But more importantly, that’s not what Ms. Stefanik asked about. She wasn’t talking about the Constitution. She was talking about the colleges specific Codes of Conduct. Codes that have been used to take away the speech of anyone who isn’t a mouth breathing Leftist. Codes that punish people if someone, somewhere could possibly feel threatened by the words spoken.”
Worth repeating.
MIT Prez Kornbluth is a jew. Why is she so tolerant of the calls to kill her?
Because at a visceral level this is about antisemitism which she can’t convincingly be accused of because she is Jewish. In my view, however, it is really about ethical and moral authority, responsibility and leadership. Their failure is so bad and so obvious on that front, that any responsible BOD would take them out. I doubt that will happen because the rot and cowardice is deep.
They couldn’t denounce the calls to kill Jews, because they believe violence is acceptable when fighting those you view as sub human. Their next target is white christian maga Trump supporters. They are establishing president for their next targets.
“Explaining the First Amendment to university presidents”Shockingly, the presidents of Harvard, Penn and MIT do not know that the First Amendment does not protect antisemitic hate speech or support for terrorism.Op-ed.”
Nathan Lewin writing this article for an Israeli newspaper (Arutz Sheva) wrote:
“1) Why are the presidents of leading American universities abysmally ignorant of Supreme Court rulings on the limits of protected speech under the First Amendment?
“On June 27, the Supreme Court decided a case titled Counterman v. Colorado, which dealt with harassment on the social media site Facebook. The case generated much discussion precisely because it dealt with the issue of what limits can be placed on speech protections. All of the justices agreed that the Bill of Rights does not guarantee any right to send threats over social media. Nor did they hold that the First Amendment entitles a speaker to say anything so long as it does not “cross into conduct.” The justices differed only over how relevant the speaker’s intention might be to the question of criminal penalties.
“A majority of the Court, speaking through Justice Elena Kagan, said that expressing a threat would be a crime if the speaker uttered it with “reckless disregard” for how it would be understood by a listener. Four justices differed only in part. All the justices agreed that freedom of speech does not protect a speaker who makes a threat with reckless disregard for the listener’s fear of violence.
“The campus protesters in question are obviously guilty of “reckless disregard” for the fears of their Jewish fellow students. Under the most recent Supreme Court rulings, they can be charged with crimes and punished accordingly.
That the presidents of Harvard, MIT and Penn are ignorant of this is shocking.
“2) Why are major donors to these universities only terminating future grants rather than demanding that billions of dollars in past donations be refunded?
“Benefactors who have given huge donations to Harvard and other universities with enormous endowments have announced publicly that they will not continue to contribute to these institutions because they promote and fail to control antisemitism.
“It is possible that this may influence the public declarations of university administrators who are unhappy that the flow of funds has been interrupted. But given the vast resources of these institutions and the contributions likely to come from antisemitic and anti-Israel sources, it will only have a modest impact.
“A far more powerful response would be for major donors to file lawsuits seeking to recover the billions of dollars they have donated in the past. They could do so on the grounds that these donations were secured by false representations that claimed the universities were providing proper meaningful education to their students.
“For example, Harvard’s original charter of 1650 stated that its students will be taught “knowledge and godlynes.” Contributors have now discovered that Harvard does not abide by this charter. Instead, it egregiously violates it by nurturing hate and violence against Jews. As such, donors are legally entitled to recover the funds they were convinced by Harvard’s false representations to provide.
“3) Why are no federal grand juries investigating the probable violations of American anti-terrorist laws committed by the organizers of and participants in pro-Hamas public protests?
“In 1996, Congress enacted the “Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act” (18 U.S.C. 2339B), which makes it a criminal offense to provide “material support to foreign terrorist organizations.” Violating this law can be punished with a long prison sentence.
“The Supreme Court, with Chief Justice John Roberts writing for a six-person majority, upheld the law in 2010 and rejected claims that its restriction of “material support” for terrorism violated First Amendment rights of free speech and free association (Holder v. Humanitarian Law Project, 561 U.S. 1 (2010)).
“Advocating for a terrorist organization and supporting its activities, even if they constitute otherwise lawful protest, violates this provision of the Federal Criminal Code. Organized protests supporting Hamas accompanied by costly printed signs, customized uniforms and caps, and Palestinian flags, assuredly qualify as “material support” for Hamas.
“Why has the Department of Justice under Attorney General Merrick Garland, a descendant of Holocaust survivors, failed to initiate a federal investigation into these probable violations of America’s anti-terrorism laws? Why has no U.S. attorney impaneled a federal grand jury and subpoenaed witnesses?
“These are just some of the questions that an American lawyer must ask in these turbulent times.”
It was great Stefanik followed up and pushed hard. Would have been nice if she followed up and pushed back when questioning, “because of the sensitivity of the matter?”, Comey.
Might be an unpopular thing to acknowledge, but it looks like Israel did 9-11.
Here are three online, free resources which pretty effectively destroy the official narrative about 9-11. The Griffin book poses hard questions and points out glaring contradictions and absurdities in the official narrative, and the Bollyn book helps explain the means and the motive for the attacks. Both books tie dual citizen neo-conservatives in the US government to the attack, the Bollyn book specifically links Israel to the attack. Might be hard to believe, but he lays out considerable evidence for it.

Good for our Elise Stefanik. She is an on-the-ball congresswoman. She is the type we need up there calling these elites out…exposing them.
I came back from Vietnam in late 1969 after two tours and could not believe my eyes and ears from people like these, elitist’s, Magill and Gay and the other one?…with no idea of what the real world is like. These people are educated (in test taking and reading assignments to the hilt and hold PhD’s) and have never made a life or death decision, ever…in a split second and had to live with it… they live in a glass bubble, looking out.
They probably gather at cocktail hour and brag to each other, how they have changed the world with their brilliance… “Did we meet our DEI objective today?” They hasten the comeuppance of Marxism in our country and it may be the monster they summon that swallows them once the machine starts moving through the populace…
I must say, I do appreciate the irony of it all.
Elon Musk does too. Can you please pass the popcorn!
Now that the evil DemonRat mind and policies is being shown as Cultural Marxism suicidal genocidal antisemitic anti-human slave owners you would think that their rank and file would begin to diminish. I bet it won’t!
Free money free food free housing may we say free everything and stealing everything else not just handed to you is hard to beat by ballot turnout.
What has happened where seemingly educated people being questioned by Congress members cannot or refuse to promptly give a simple and honest answer? It seems to me, an obviously uneducated deplorable, white veteran that always pays their taxes, that we are considered just trash under the feet of these big-shots in government, academia and business. They are never wrong, always have the right answer even though we obviously can’t understand their intellect. America obviously has a very serious “haircut” coming from debts, wars, BRICS+ and stupid politics and I find myself enraged by the conduct of these big-shots that are so much to blame for what’s coming. I can’t wait to vote for Trump. He IS my retribution! I want a LOT OF REVENGE for these politicians that have fouled America so bad my grand-kids will struggle to just survive!
Trust me! Having to deal with Bolshevik lawyers for the past 30 years and wiping the floor with them on a routine basis you’re a lot smarter and better than all of them put together, Grandpa!
Free Speech is not 100% free and never has been. You cannot call for somebody to be killed. You cannot call “fire” in a crowded theatre when there isn’t a fire.
That is not antisemitism.
Lefties have been taught to hate straight white men for decades. But as soon as someone notices that the Jews they see on campus are whiter than white, horrors, you not allowed to hate THOSE whites.
I have been calling for Stefanik to be Trump’s VP for years. She was the brains behind Trump’s successful impeachment defense. Her team also managed to pick up GOP seats in blue NY, although they are RINOs.
Scary women.
I have hope when people like Stephanik call out these rotten Maoist marxist totally corrupt people. I hope their brand suffers miserably. Education in the United States can do better a lot better but the Communist have to Go first. We know enough about their ways at this point that burrowing in and staying silent until its time to strike will no longer serve them They are Exposed.
Maybe it’s just me, a simple schlub without an Ivy League degree, but I’d say publicly calling for the “genocide of a group of people” leans more towards an overt verbal threat towards that group of people than just simple garden style school yard bullying.
The Google seems to agree.
gen·o·cide
/ˈjenəˌsīd/
noun
“The road to hell is paved with Ivy League degrees”, Thomas Sowell…
Dr. Phil has a great video response:
IMHO, all should look to avoid these “liability shield” traps.
If my family, church, county, state, country is acting in an anti-human way, I reserve the right to be critical of said behavior.
Jesus called out the anti human behavior of the religious leadership of his time; a good example, in my eyes.
Hamas is a creation of the Israeli state-could they be working together behind the scenes to stir up this conflict?
“Hamas is a creation of the Israel state ….”
Prove it! Got a link?
