The New York State Judicial System is under attack because of the way the bogus A.G. “case” has played out. It’s a giant SCAM, with no “smoking gun,” No Victim (except me!), and absolutely no crime. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), during a committee hearing, announced that she had filed a subpoena demanding the release of flight logs associated with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, a figure notorious for his connections with high-profile individuals in human trafficking and sexual abuse.

Blackburn has set her sights on the private flight logs of the late Jeffrey Epstein.

“Since we’re in the business of issuing subpoenas now, here are a few more that I filed a subpoena to Jeffrey Epstein’s estate to provide the flight logs for his private plane,” Blackburn announced.

“Given the numerous allegations of human trafficking and sexual abuse surrounding Mr. Epstein, I think it is very important that we identify everybody that was on that plane and how many trips they took on that plane and the destinations to which they arrived,” she added.

Exclusive: Judge Engoron’s Wife Denies Posting Anti-Trump Messages

Judge Arthur Engoron’s wife, Dawn Engoron, denied making social media posts attacking former President Donald Trump in a statement to Newsweek.

Conservative activist Laura Loomer accused Dawn Engoron of running an X account that frequently posted anti-Trump messages against the former president, whose civil business fraud trial is currently being overseen by Judge Engoron. The judge has faced criticism of his own and Loomer’s claims sparked people to call for a mistrial in Trump’s case.

Newsweek was unable to verify that the account belonged to Dawn, and on Wednesday, she issued a firm denial. Dawn told Newsweek on Wednesday afternoon that the account does not belong to her.

“I do not have a Twitter account. This is not me. I have not posted any anti Trump messages,” she said.

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) — A former top prosecutor for the city of Baltimore was convicted on Thursday of charges that she lied about the finances of a side business to improperly access retirement funds during the COVID-19 pandemic, using the money to buy two Florida homes.

A federal jury convicted former Baltimore state’s attorney Marilyn Mosby of two counts of perjury after a trial that started Monday.

Mosby served two terms as state’s attorney for Baltimore. A federal grand jury indicted her on perjury charges before a Democratic primary challenger defeated her last year.

The maximum prison sentence for each count of perjury is five years, said a statement from U.S. Attorney Erek L. Barron’s office. “

Mosby gained a national profile for prosecuting Baltimore police officers after Freddie Gray, a Black man, died in police custody in 2015, which was Mosby’s first year in office. His death led to riots and protests in the city. None of the officers were convicted.

Justice Department faces Senate investigation over alleged spying on congressional staffers

EXCLUSIVE — Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans are investigating allegations the Justice Department spied on congressional staffers while they probed the agency, including during its handling of the Trump-Russia inquiry, the Washington Examiner has learned.

Virginia-based whistleblower firm Empower Oversight said in a late October Freedom of Information Act request to the DOJ that its founder, Jason Foster, former chief investigative counsel to ex-Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA), was notified on Oct. 19, 2023, that the agency in 2017 subpoenaed Google for records on Foster’s telephone and email accounts, as well as those of other House and Senate staffers. Now, Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Mike Lee (R-UT), and Grassley are demanding the DOJ turn over a trove of documents on these allegations, which they wrote in a Monday letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demonstrate “executive branch overreach.”

“We write to express deep concern regarding recent revelations that the Department of Justice engaged in a campaign of covert surveillance of the personal communications of attorneys advising congressional oversight committees,” the senators wrote to Garland in the letter, first obtained by the Washington Examiner. “The decision by unelected government bureaucrats to investigate the elected congressional representatives and congressional staff trying to hold them accountable is a true attack on our democracy.”

Rep. James Comer subpoenas Hunter Biden’s art dealer, business cronies

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer blasted out subpoenas and transcribed interview requests to eight more Biden family associates Thursday, including Hunter Biden’s art dealer, one day after subpoenaing the first son and first brother James Biden.

Comer (R-Ky.) is specifically seeking depositions from Soho gallerist George Bergès and art patron Elizabeth Naftali, as well as Biden cronies Eric Schwerin and Mervyn Yan.

Nashville college freshman Jillian Ludwig dies after being hit by a stray bullet at a local park

The alleged gunman, Shaquille Taylor, had previously been released for incompetence to stand trial in a separate shooting.

A Nashville college student died a day after she was shot in the head allegedly by a man authorities said had previously been released for incompetence to stand trial in a separate shooting.

Shaquille Taylor, 29, was quickly identified as a suspect and taken into custody. Police said the gunfire came from a public housing unit across the street from the park and that Taylor was allegedly shooting at a car when a stray bullet struck Ludwig.

Authorities said he and another man allegedly shot at a woman while she was driving with her two children. At least two bullets hit the vehicle. The charges were ultimately dismissed earlier this year and Taylor was released after court-appointed doctors testified that he was incompetent to stand trial. Under federal and state law, mentally incompetent defendants cannot be prosecuted.

A court order stated that Taylor developed pneumonia at birth, which led to a brain infection, and that he continues to function at a kindergarten level. Criminal Court Judge Angelita Blackshear Dalton wrote that because Taylor did not meet the criteria to be involuntarily committed, the court had “reached the limit of its authority.”

At the time of Ludwig’s shooting, Taylor had a warrant for failing to appear in court stemming from a Sept. 21 arrest in a grocery store parking lot. Police said in a news release that he was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck that had been carjacked by two men wearing ski masks on Sept. 16. Taylor, who did not admit to being involved in the carjacking, was charged with felony auto theft and was released on a $20,000 bond, according to authorities. When he failed to appear in court Friday, the court issued a failure-to-appear warrant, police said.
