The hubris here is actually quite stunning. A group of Mayors from sanctuary cities are requesting that all taxpayers in the USA support them as they try to cope with the impact of mass illegal alien arrivals. They created themselves as “sanctuary cities” for illegals, now they want everyone to pay for it.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The mayors of Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles and New York are pressing to meet with President Joe Biden about getting federal help in managing the surge of migrants they say are arriving in their cities with little to no coordination, support or resources from his administration.
The Democratic leaders say in a letter obtained by The Associated Press on Wednesday that while they appreciate Biden’s efforts so far, much more needs to be done to ease the burden on their cities.
Migrants are sleeping in police station foyers in Chicago. In New York, a cruise ship terminal was turned into a shelter. In Denver, the number of migrants arriving has increased tenfold and available space to shelter them has withered. With fewer available work authorizations, these migrants cannot find work that would allow them to get into proper housing. (read more)

Tell them there is no point to a bailout when it is just gonna happen again as fast as they are bailed out. Tie any LIMITED bailout money to the Senate sending down a bill making sanctuary localities illegal and imposing real peanalties for voilations, a real border fence built in a realistic time frame, and a federal law approving state and local law enforcment of illegal aliens and states ability to deport offenders themselves if the federal goverment does not pick them up within 90 days, force the federals to deport anyone that they cannot get a hearing for in 90 days, and makes an emergency exception that is carefully worded so that ONLY true true political refuges can get an exception to those rules.

Surprised to see that St. Louis city Mayor Jones didn’t weasel her way into this one. Or St. Louis county exec Page for that matter. Each of them were awarded $400M each for their constituents in a settlement between them the NFL and Rams owner Stan Kroenke in the aftermath of the team moving back to LA. Both are DNC plants who did as they were told with each and every turn of the pandemic. The city does have orgs that are begging for migrants which is being organized through catholic parishes and the county has municipalities that are full blown sanctuary cities like the home of Washington University which is in University City. So far these two elected officials have yet to squander these ill gotten gains. They did however pretty much guarantee we’ll never have another NFL team with this frivolous and humiliating lawsuit though.

For years, mayor’s of these cities ignored, flaunted, and even bragged about breaking federal immigration laws. From the outside looking in, it appears the voters were all for their mayor’s violating federal law, not so much now.
This is incredibly ridiculous on it’s face. That is why I am certain that the blue city mayors will get billions in aid from the Executive branch. Unfortunately, this will only be a down payment because this will do nothing to solve the illegal alien problem in our Country. It is the beginning of yet another laundering operation using our tax dollars. That would be atrocious, except that they already spent all of our money this Summer. They are now just printing money for whatever will help them with their agenda, and 90% of the US population don’t even know it is happening and never seem to care. I have been railing against Biden’s incompetence- it’s obvious that he is unable or unwilling to think three steps ahead when he launches any plan he has- which is how we got the disastrous withdrawal (more like a run away from) Afghanistan (ever hear Joe mention the Americans still trapped there? Me either), BIdenomics (no Joe we AREN’T doing better than we were under Trump; no matter how many times you say that we are) and of course, the ridiculous open border. Dem Governors were all in support of Joe’s disastrous plan executed by the brain dead Mayorkas ,.but now that the border States’ governors got smart and started to bus the invaders to Blue States, the crybaby Dem governors are screaming NO FAIR! You ALL declared yourself Sanctuary Cities, because it made YOU feel good about yourself- and now-you have to deal with the reality. Hope you all learn something from this- start thinking about what your policies will do to the people of your State rather than how magnanomous they make YOU FEEL.
