If it was a Democrat sponsored bill, the media would be highlighting the bipartisan nature of the vote. However, because it is a Republican sponsored bill, the media immediately say the stand alone measure to support Israel is dead upon arrival in the Senate.
Joe Biden has said he will veto the House version of the bill, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has said he will not entertain the bill due to the pay-go funding mechanism (removal of $14.3 billion in IRS funding) and the fact it is not a package bill that includes support for Ukraine. Biden wants his $106 billion bill with funds for Israel, Ukraine, Hamas (via USAID), Taiwan and support for arriving migrants. Chuck Schumer is working with Mitch McConnell to put the combined package together.
Twelve Democrats supported the $14.3 billion House bill, and two Republicans voted against it (MTGreene and Massie). The vote was 226-196 for passage.
WASHINGTON – […] While aid to Israel is something both parties strongly agree with, Democratic support for the legislation broke down after Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) added a provision in the bill that would cut $14.3 billion in funding from the Internal Revenue Service to offset the cost of the aid to Israel — prompting Democratic leaders to encourage party members to vote against it.
“It’s a bad precedent to set. It costs resources. But we have never conditioned emergency aid like we have under Speaker Johnson this week. This is wrong. This is wrong for Israelis, this is wrong for the region,” House Democratic Caucus Chairman Pete Aguilar (D-CA) said on Thursday. “This is Republicans playing politics with aid to Israel.”
However, Johnson and Republicans have defended the decision to add a pay-for in the bill because of the growing national debt.
“We are in dire straits as a nation,” Johnson said at a press conference. “We have obligations, and we have commitments, and we want to protect and help and assist our friend Israel, but we have to keep our own house in order as well. And I think people at home — I think the American people understand that.” (read more)
As noted by Politico, “I am glad that the president issued a veto threat over this stunningly unserious proposal,” Schumer said Thursday. “The Senate will not be considering this deeply flawed proposal from the House GOP.”
Speaker Mike Johnson remarks. Prompted:

Jusr more money for nothing and chicks for free!
I identify as Israel now
😂😂😂😂
So, I guess that means nobody is getting any money then. I’m OK with that. 👍
No money for Iran
No money for Gaza
No money for Ukraine
No money for Israel
No money for stupid wind farms
Money for the US borders (to close them, not to speed processing of illegal “migrants.”
Money for East Palestine,
Ohio.
Money to find the Maui children.
Money to rebuild American infrastructure (sorry, that would be paychecks for middle class conservative construction workers).
Money for US veterans.
Amen, Swrichmond.
Thank you for writing out what is truly needed.
Why should fed taxpayers pay for the railroad-caused train derailment? Doesn’t the railroad have hazard insurance?
In fact, why did we pay ANYTHING to Puerto Rico, who didn’t have ANY of their homes, gov’t buildings, or utilities insured against hurricanes?? And with PR right in the middle of Hurricane Alley?
Well that’s not exactly right…
Congress have voted themselves a pay rise of $34,000.
See???
The two sides CAN come together.
Pigs at the trough and their snouts are getting longer and dirtier.

Justice. It has been a long, long time since we have seen any at all.
Except there is the sentencing bit.
Will it be Lucy Lucy with the football again?
I don’t know why they are letting this guy go down.
To distract us from dwelling on who the REAL crooks are!
How long until he gets “Epsteined?”
2 weeks….err….How about a lotto on this question??
Gonna be moving into the Epstein/Bulger cell soon to silence him
about the time….
All the Congress people who got $ from this twerp ought to be forced to return it… or/ and be jailed. The scum are identified by their cooperation with sbf and his crypto racket.
What is really insane is that when contacted by media, a great number of the congressmen’s offices said that the congressmen mostly gave the money to charity.
Obviously, the money should have been rebated to the FBX receiver.
A great percentage of the congress critters are lawyers. This stinks.
When does he get whisked off to Israel?

Excellent, BK…there must be some shame there. They buried that little gem where no one would see it.
A.pox on both their Houses.
I got a fundraising email from Mike Johnson today. I was just appalled that he would be doing this now, when we’re so broke.
I also want know if the Appropriations Committee was working during the 3-week Speaker Debacle? … of were they waiting for goodies to be handed out from whomever the Speaker would be, to buy their votes for further progress?
I found the article here: https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/11/report-congress-sneaks-through-34000-pay-raise-itself/
Checkmate.
stand alone….what is greene and masse’s problem?
Very simple. We have our own problems and don’t need to be borrowing money to send to others.
Thank you, Jay.
I am wondering why many strive to shame Americans into sending large amounts of money to a variety of other countries…and taking care of other countries’ needs before our own.
Whatever happened to “charity begins at home”?
My husband has worked for 50 years, and good-sized portions of his pay have been sent to everyone else–before caring for his fellow citizens here at home?
If we take care of our foundation, then we are strong enough to help others as we are able.
First of all, bear in mind they KNEW it would pass, without there yes votes.
They may well have been “making a point”.
If I understand the process, this does NOT block spending because despite the statements by Schumer, the Senate comes up with ITS spending bill, then the Senate and House form a “conference” and they can totally strip out the bill and rewrite it, to say whatever they want.
So, do not start cheering that this confirms anything about Johnson.
May well just be for show.
Maybe.
Even with a conference session where they hammer out a bill where both the House and Senate could agree on the details, Speaker Johnson still has a significant amount of influence on that outcome from the side of the House
Curious to see how well he’ll hold the line.
Yes, but once rewritten, it must go back for a new House vote.
That’s when we’ll see who’s who.
If the speaker even brings it to the floor. Amiright?
Good point Tiff. There are two ways to read that as well, he might refuse because he knows it won’t pass or he might refuse because he wants to delay the money outflow. And, he might take the time to play with it among the house movers and shakers to see what can be done with it. The new speaker impresses me as a man of his word and of principle, so, not a globalist squish.
exactly….. we’ve outed most of the swamp, gotta get the rest of them ID’d…..
Yeah, Dutch. But if the sSeaker is this committed to offsets for foreign spending, imagine how delicious the offsets might be on any more funding going to Ukraine. I wish he had said that, based on the last question. And I’d also like to know what he thinks “border security” actually means.
Then they chose to make the WRONG point.
MTG and Massie have been going against MAGA this past year on many occassions.
Yes, but some of these have been less than principled MAGA positions, which we get into when we have to work with the system. In this particular case, I think it gives voice to the elements in congress that do not want funds to go to Israel and that’s a good thing, in my book. I don’t think Israel needs the funds. I think they need the military support of the ships providing defense and they need weapons and the dome refreshed with supplies and I think they can pay for these. Frankly, we have too many Muslims living among us, we need to present a somewhat balanced approach to the situation.
I would agree with your last sentence – there has been a long list of decisions they made that go against the country and the people.
That said, on this I have no issue with Massie. He has been extremely consistent in his stance on foreign aid, (almost) always voting against it. In the spring he voted against a different resolution because he saw it as support for said foreign aid. His stance in regard to this topic is “no foreign aid, aid Americans instead.”
Here is from earlier in the year:
https://thehill.com/homenews/house/3971887-massie-18-democrats-vote-against-resolution-to-honor-us-israel-relationship-expand-abraham-accords/
He stated the same thing a few days ago about the latest bill:
https://thehill.com/homenews/house/4286228-massie-aipac-opposition-israel-aid-package/
MTG is another story and I haven’t seen an explicit statement on her vote today. Previously she did say that any funding should be offset by cutting funding to the nations involved in the attack (Palestinian aid, Iran funds, etc).
My own view – Israel already gets massive funds every year it shouldn’t. The only thing the U.S. should do in this case is diplomatic and moral support and providing area forces and stated positions that keep the other nations in the area out of the battle.
Maga is supposed to be America first, so foreign aid to the tune of billions would not logically be pro-Maga.
That’s how we got Obamacare. Stripped out an existing bill and rewrote the contents.
Rami, you have a very good memory about how the Obamacare bill was created.
The Obamacare bill was unconstitutional because it was a Senate bill that raised taxes.
https://www.wnd.com/2014/08/judges-say-senate-can-launch-tax-bills/
A three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the U.S. Senate can launch tax bills even though the Constitution requires that funding measures begin in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The decision, which likely will be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, came in a challenge to the constitutionality of Obamacare, a tax-raising measure that began in the Senate.
The judges, in an opinion written by Judge Judith Rogers, reasoned that if the aim of Obamacare is to force people to buy health insurance, the billions of dollars in tax increases are incidental and, therefore, allowable.
Per-xactly! Dutchman is astute but I’m sticking with the admonition from Jesus Himself: Do not be deceived.
Yeah, it’s Simple – Green and Massie are against millions more going to fight foreign wars when we have such huge debt.
They are bought and paid for. They are part of the problem.
Not what you may think. i heard Massie explain his “no” vote on the “resolution” and all 4 points made sense – even if one disagreed, it’s clear it is a vote of conscience, not obstinacy or obstruction.
Isn’t Schumer

Self – loathing.
Enough is enough , not a dime for the IRS or for Gaza .
Well, this is taking money from the IRS, which the state is opposed to, since it means less money to control you with.
No, this is taking money from the taxpayers.
I get that, and so is every other $ spent by the Government. But in the context of what Johnson is doing, and what McCarthy WOULD NOT do, it’s not new spending. It’s not JUST about sending money to Israel to buy weapons from our manufacturers. It’s about cutting off some weaponization bits as well. Just like the proposed Ukraine/Border bill is not about one or the other. It’s about putting the state’s priorities in the sunlight.
Money that was already allocated to the IRS and giving it to Israel. From where I sit, it’s a reasonable trade off, since the allocation was a done deal.
It could go back to the American taxpayer, since no taxpayer would have voted for IRS expansion. This is essentially taxation without representation with taxation going to foreign countries to boot.
Debt to GDP ratios : USA 121 % – Israel 60 %
Israel doesn’t need our money, and probably didn’t want it. That money just purchased the USA a launch pad to attack the middle east. Israel will not survive this.
Thanks R2R,
I will watch this later.
McGreagor sounds like he thinks Israel is doomed unless it rolls over and pleads Hamas for peace.
And we are the “loyalty and obedient servant of the Netenyahu government” ?? I think we have heard that kind of talk before.
You…. Listless Veasel should listen Col.McGregor….
I have been listening to him for decades now (probably before you ever even heard of him) , and I listen to above, but I’m not his pet little dog lapping up everything he says about everything like it was the direct word of God..
He should probably stick to Ukraine.
A (Caroline) Glick in time saves nine.
One of my pet peeves with the US military, that I raise every time I find myself speaking to US military officers, is that they bowed to Arab pressure and wiped Israel off the Middle East map. This they did a number of years ago, when they decided that Israel would be attached to the US military’s European Command while every single Arab state is located in Central Command.
This artificial removal of Israel from the purview of Central Command has bred generations of US military commanders, who due to the inherent distortion of their organization, almost necessarily emerge as hostile to Israel after they serve for any significant length of time in Central Command.
In my mind, one of Israel’s top priorities should be to demand that the US military place Israel back in Central Command (Trump may have done this ???) to end this vile, unfair situation that works to the detriment of the strategic coherence of the US military and of course to the detriment of Israel.
Your verbiage is a bit off.
You mean to say that Israel was moved from CENTCOM AOR to EUCOM AOR. Israel is not attached to any COCOM.
God says Israel does survive. I read the Book. I read the ending. You should read it.
Israel WILL survive this, the Bible is adamant and explicit about it.
But it ain’t gonna be pretty.
Good job Speaker Johnson and please don’t budge – this appears to be a very responsible spending bill to fund aid to Israel. It was actually paid for in Washington D.C. speak – something we haven’t seen for several years.
He also promised to support a stand-alone bill… for Ukraine.
If he pulls what he pulled here and says ‘Yeah, you can have the money, but it comes out of your [enter name of weaponized, bloated, useless government department here] budget’, then I’m all for it.
The parasites will never go for it
I stand corrected. The Ukraine bill is not standalone. It’s linked… to border security!
https://apnews.com/article/mike-johnson-israel-ukraine-immigration-gop-agenda-e4054f12f83cfaa09044aa3d087396a8
even better as in awesome
Also not approved by the Uniparty. Neither bill meets the approval of Mitch the turtle. Win..
may i suggest FBI and there big new building…
It’s called politics. He can’t just do everything the right way and actually get anything done, as sucky as it is to say that.
He has to promise to bring a Ukraine bill to the floor in order to get the votes on this. We will see what number he is willing to support on Ukraine and if he insists on having it paid for in cuts elsewhere, I’m not sure that would pass the House in any form right now. Half the Rs don’t want to fund Ukraine anymore, and almost none of the dems want to do so at the cost of cutting any domestic spending.
He can bring it to the floor, but my gut tells me that he wants it to pass.
Let’s be real, most of those Rs who don’t want to fund Ukraine actually do want to fund Ukraine, but they fear the voters
No more money or support to Ukraine. It is a hell hole all on its own terms. Let them make peace with their neighbor.
I support Israel, but the US is beyond broke. Robbing from the IRS is the best option to move forward. But……
Israel can support itself.
No $ for Israel, AND we take $14 billion from the IRS, and call it “A good start” Bill.
Then, no $ for Zalenski and take $20 Billion from DOJ/FBI.
hey, I LIKE this!
No $ for El Salvador, Guatamala and Finish the WALL.
Lets use Tariffs, to “claw back” all of the $ sent overseas.
I vote AYE in favor of all of your suggestions, Dutch! I think you should contact the new Speaker’s Office and offer to help with the writing of new appropriations bills!!
No $ for migrants: housing, food, medical care, legal representation, etc., etc., etc.
To change the migrants vote we need to start housing them in the politicians personal residence before we kick all the illegals out of the country.
Nice! I like that idea!!!!
Great idea and children of politicians drafted first in any wars, especially ones we support with our tax dollars even if it hasn’t been officially declared.
You’re specifically talking about invaders here?
Call them as they are ILLEGAL ALIANS!
Yes!!!
I second that motion.
Vote to the floor, please.
I like the “claw back” terminology and will be using it! Well done and it works for me to. Have to start somewhere.
A man can be a Jew or he can be a democrat, but he can’t legally be a Jew and be a democrat … . except in the usual way: one of the two with the mouth, the other with the heart… The spirit of Judaism proclaims the survival of Israel and the meaning of that has no longer been left to guesswork, but made tremendously definite … the Jew must fight all who would commit or enable another genocide or enslavement of the Jews. That is the spirit and the law of Judaism.
The democrats have their beliefs and actions and it is a perfectly definite set, there is no vagueness about it. They command that the Jew bow to the so-called Palestinian at every turn they do him hurt or threaten him and his children with death. Word it as softly as you please, the spirit of the democrats is the spirit of the evil shadowed specter of the Beast of Austria insidiously billowing in and building and building to ever more horrific heights.
The moment there is a question about a boundary line or a building or some so-called Palestinian somewhere complaining about any matter, see the democrats rise, and see them spit at the Jew from the corner of their twisted forked mouths. The spirit of the democrats being in its nature narcissistic and selfish — it is in their line, it comes natural to them — they can fully live up to all of the hate of a Rashida Tlaib and a Iman Omar; for the spirit of Judaism, indeed of decency itself, is entirely impossible to them.
What makes you think the 75 year old Nation State of israel is the Israel of the Bible?
We have the good fortune to be able to compare maps and read the boundaries in the Bible. Find the place names on the maps. Read up on Biblical archeology. There are landmarks all over the place.
There can be no doubt that the current nation of Israel is located in Biblical Israel.
I have been waiting for a Republican to take on this ridiculous spending for as long as I can remember.
Now, play the media Mr Johnson!
So far, so good!
Not good enough. No $ to either Ukraine or Israel.
Release the J6 tapes. Else go shoot yourself
Release all the Kennedy docs also. Who are we protecting?
That’s okay. I’m sure that Israel would support us if we were being invaded and destroyed.
You forgot the “/s”
We ARE being invaded and destroyed.
Where’s our aid money from the recipient of more than 50 years of American taxpayer largesse?
Oh, yeah. Never mind.
The recipient of more than 50 years of American taxpayer largesse would be the Pentagon, aka the Spendagon, which can’t even complete an audit, let alone pass one..
make it since ..1967…
If Israel were to send troops to our southern border to protect us, Biden would order our military to attack them, and the Pentagon would gleefully comply.
we are invaded if you did not noticed….geeeeeeeeeee
I hope it is vetoed.
I don’t care about Ukraine or Israel’s border – I care about OUR border.
Take away the packaging and personality, Johnson is the same as McCarthy.
not really
save your angst for Schumer and McConnell
The very first thing he does is pick up where McCarthy left off: billions of dollars for other country’s borders, not a cent for the US border.
They are all owned.
Every foreign country from Pakistan to Egypt to Israel to Qatar to China has had a piece of our government.
The only people these Congresscritters do not answer to or care about is us, the American people.
Check out a very excellent, 3-part series by Corey’s Diggs, Laundering with Immunity.
Being concerned about the government taking a huge chunk out our pay. Ridiculous!
14.3 billion dollars to the Rothschild’s Israel…
I did a web search – Bing gives me this:
“Israel has the fourth most powerful military in the world, behind Russia, the U.S. and China. The country has a total of 643,000 military personnel, with 170,000 of those being in active service, and a budget of $16.6 billion.”
That source uses fundamentally flawed methodology to come to its conclusion. Here’s a better source that takes far more than mere numbers into account.
https://www.globalfirepower.com/countries-listing.php
Even if that is a “superior” tally – the tiny nation of Israel is 18th from the top on a list of 145 nations. Then there’s nukes to add to the equation – officially declared or not. Israel is also the 12th largest arms supplier in the world according to SIPRI Arms Transfers Database.
They definitely make a ton of ammo – sell a lot of it in the U.S. via IMI, who was bought out by Elbit about 5 years ago (although in $ it’s a small part of their exports, which total over 1 1/4 BILLION dollars).
When you think about it, they get 2x the funds that way. They get funds from the U.S. taxpayer, use it to build and support their own ammunition manufacturing facilities, then turn around and sell the ammo back to the American taxpayer…
country of 9 million ppl….hm$16.6 billion did you count more than several billion US taxpayers $$$$$$$$$$$$$….????
what I do like is
1) bills that stand alone and are not in a group block
2) funding offset somewhere else
AND: 3) minimum 10% cut to total budget
Why would Greene and Massie vote against this bill?
Thy want more free feels in a theater.
I believe you’re thinking of Lauren Boebert (R-CO)…
My understanding is that they both said they would vote NO on any aid bill to ANY other country until the issue of our own border was addressed and funds were appropriated for that purpose. I agree with them on that and while I appreciate Johnson making this a stand alone bill, with offsets, I would still like to see him address our own country FIRST and not propose any bills for foreign aid until that is done! Force Schumer, McConnell, and Biden to publicly denounce a bill to fund the US Southern border!!
A little thing happened on the way to the forum – a war broke out. It must be addressed now one way or another.
Oh, the horror! /s
I hope this bill fails.
This is it !
Make. Them. Eat. Their. Own. Rhetoric.
Not one more red cent to Ukraine or any NON-ESSENTIAL government agency or program unless they pass it. If they reject it, send the next bill up at 21.9 billion for Israel and $10 billion for the new border fence. Next time make it 39.2 billion for Israel, 20 billion for the border fence to be completed in one year, and10 billion to deport illegals and 3/4’s cut from the budgets of intelligence and justice dept to help pay for it. Refuse to look at any spending deal that did not originate from the House, like it should be.
Teach them how the founing fathers meant for THE PEOPLE to control the government !
Call them antisemitic, racist, Jew haters, Nazi’s, traitors, and campaign on removing all the racists from office starting with replacing Biden with Trump !
Next time make is $0 for both countries.
And for their pay raises!
I’m about sick of Massie. He needs to go
He voted correctly this time.
Yeah, well he was one of 22 RINOs who voted against censuring Tlaib today or yesterday for anti Semitic remarks, sympathizing with terrorists, and leading an insurrection at the Capitol Complex recently.
This is his justification for voting against that bill. Take it as you wish.
So release the J6! Now! Make it mandatory Massey. But do not make nice with the enemy when they are out to crush us.
Massie is correct to have alarms go off when he sees the word “insurrection.” That is the magic word needed to keep Trump off ballots.
Is it SOY CHIP ???????
We shouldnt be giving money to anyone.
No speaker is better.
Yeah, bummed that my choices for SOTH, “somebody else” and “nobody” lost,…:-(.
Johnson said next up is a bill with funding for Ukraine, paired with Border Security.
So, not single issue approps bill, by the sound of it?
ALL of this is just smoke and mirrors, its the bill that comes out of conference, that matters.
For instance, the Reagan immigration reform bill had the employers required to run employees thru the verification system after “conference” it was optional.
Nor J6 tapes or prisoners, the looming Budget nor election integrity.
I’m of the opinion that Johnson knows these bills won’t pass the Senate. The real key is what happens after sending separate spending bills, particularly on Ukraine and Israel, go through the Senate and they try to make it unified.
It’s only money.
My adult son has the same attitude about money. The kit is always broke!
EFF, EFF, EFF…
Just take the money from the IRS and don’t spend it on anything.
ADD to the removal list: FBI, CIA, U.N. and NATO.
And anything and everything not SPECIFICALLY enumerated in the Constitution!
I know this is shouting at the wind, but at least one or two in DC have a temporary appearance of sense.
What is sense to us Americans is poison to the swamp – they will quash anything that actually takes money from DC tribute to pay for something else. That is what every American family has to decide on their kitchen table at night, What do we need, how can we survive, where can we save money, what do we CUT? Can we work more, maybe two jobs?
These are alien concepts to a DC industry that simply compels more income by taxing you, me, and your kids. The amazing aspect of this is there’s just a hint of going against the swamp by paying while taking money, and also forcing both parties to vote FOR or NO Israel aid, with Ukraine left out of the question. Maybe it’s not much, but it’s a surprising change from usual swamp workings.
Johnson is giving us a measly crumb — glad you are happy with such a meager offering but it’s an insult to me.
Ukraine is a massive money-laundering operation for the Beltway.
Israel is on the frontline in the West’s war on Islamic terror (10/7 was like if 9/11 killed 50,000 US residents).
Massie voting with Tlaib is a warning sign.
GWOT lost its cache with W.
No thanks.
No more sandbox wars.
Not gonna buy the domino theory either.
Kick ’em all out – every single person who landed here in the last 30 years, back to wherever they came from.
Make ALL the dual nationals pick the US or leave.
Seal the border up tight, and end the GAE.
No more foreign aid.
No more foreign aid grift.
No more foreign entanglements, except to enforce the Monroe Doctrine once again.
If we kick out all the immigrants from the last 30 years, WE do not have a jihadi problem. It is very simple.
That’s it. That’s all.
And I agree.
But Obama has been funding Iran continuously since 2009 – with OUR money.
This is the result.
Cut off the money to them too and bankrupt them like Trump.
Obama hired the rapists and bought the bombs.
It makes sense.
It is how “normal “ people
manage their budgets.
14.3 to Israel
14.3 cut from IRS
👍👏
That is why the Democrats
don’t like it.💁🤷♀️
The longer that Biden
and Democrats play
politics..the longer
it takes Israel to get
the funds.
🤔
If Biden does veto it, Congress should just roll it over immediately to funding for the border wall. Just for fun.
I’m beginning to like speaker, Johnson, and what he’s doing to keep spending down. And we have chaos in government will be good if they won’t bankrupt the treasury.
They are just shuffling the deck chairs on the economic Titanic — no real spending cuts.
I don’t trust Johnson nor the RINOS, but they need to stand firm on this.
They shouldn’t have voted for anything but now that it’s done, let’s see what shenanigans they pull.
Screw Schumer, McConnell, the Senate and Potato Head!
The scowl on McConnell’s face has to be worth something..
Good. I hope Chuck sees stunningly real seriousness. The house should not offer another bill and consider it done. Let’s start talking about America now.
Skin bag, the Demented Fraud, doesn’t have a clue about anything except sniffing little girls. Make Crying UpChucky defend his not giving aid to Israel because it pays for itself by cutting funds from an agency everyone hates anyway.
when the senate comes back with their shit version, throw it in the trash, Mike
keep doing it until they fold
A bill that is good for Americans even a little – frankly pass no aid – with an offset isn’t good enough for our unserious politicians who insist we must bankrupt ourselves.
Cut the IRS and don’t fund any of thirst wars.
Eat them apples.
An alternate proposal would be to use the Iran money for Israel, and send the IRS agents to Ukraine. 🙂
Right. Send them where they can find some revenue: Ukraine, the Caymans, Pfizer, or maybe they can toss a couple of Soros foundations and seize all their assets. More productive than squeezing the turnip class. Harpoon some whales.
Hot take on alternate proposal – give the money back to the US taxpayer.
Is there a single reader here who isn’t just sick and tired of paying taxes to fund anything to do with government.
Local, state and federal is all one giant scam on the citizenry.
And Congress just voted themselves a $36,000/year raise. Anything to do with money going in their pockets is bipartisan. Too bad we the people don’t have veto power.
We NEED a balanced budget amendment.
We are not at war. We don’t have money to support the world. It needs to be stopped.
Stop funding the Department of Education, IRS, CIA, FBI, NIH, FDA, CDC now.
Fund only military, vets, medicare, medicaid, and ssi benefits of retired Americans.
Fund the Spendagon at no more than half of what they are getting now.
FINALLY! A Republican Speaker that knows how to create compromising “chips” out of thin air and play those chips to the complete shock to all the Democrats. Funding the bill from the IRS insanity was a stroke of genius. It’s been years since I seen a Republican act like the Democrat agenda is poisonous to America.
After public declaration in support of Israel, then jerking that away, will he veto, of course.
And since Karmapala gave her anti Islamophobia speech today, it seems so obvious!
They do what the Democrats have always done, talk out of both sides of their faces, then do what ever they want!
Calling Evil Good, as the VP/Resident have done, will not set right with Almighty God.
F’n TRAITORS. Your grandkids will envy medieval serfs.
Israel does not need our money……I’m done with the Foreign Aid ‘Money Laundering’ Scams…..Secure our Southern Border, Finish the Wall and start deporting Illegals….How about we spend 14.3 billion for that????
Hammas is holding around 250 hostahes.
Democrats aree holding all of Israel hostage to still more tens of billions of $$$ to Herr Zelensky.
My Democrat representative Mike Levin voted Nay on HR 565. I cannot believe how unsupportative the Jewish representative in Congress are. I really hope forcing individual bills and roll call votes is going to purge Congress of these fools who cannot support Israel.
$14 billion for Israel and $0 for an American border wall. Unacceptable!
I agree we need the wall, however, I need an individual bill funding it to expose the loser I have for Congress. Mike Levin voted nay on 565. He has hidden behind these continuing resolutions and been reelected twice in a conservative district. (CA-49)
Walls take too long to put up. We need to stop all benefits to invaders and force the Biden Admin to enforce the law not make it up. How the later is done is the big question!
$14 billion is less than 2% of the Spendagon’s yearly take.
And the Pentagon’s bloated budget is unacceptable as well.
Actually, it should be a more nuanced argument. Either no foreign funding or equal funding for US borders as foreign borders, so $14B for another country would mean $14B for a wall.
They don’t have to vote for it. No money saves us money.
This is a very good shot across the bow for the CR / shutdown battle ahead.
The Republicans have a great chance to steal the Jewish vote from the Dems in ’24. This isn’t going to help that. Yes, pay-go is the right idea and needed. But this wasn’t the best place to start.
I disagree. Trying to please everybody ends up pleasing nobody. Besides, we didn’t need the “Jewish vote” to win in 2020, and we dont have to have it now. We just need a fair election.
We really should not have such a thing in this country as “the Jewish vote.” Or, “the black vote.” Or, the “Indian vote.”
It should all be “the American vote.”
If you can’t think of your country instead of your ethnicity, the issue that presents itself is foundational.
We are a country in which the key power tension is between the individual and the government.
Which is as it should be.
There is simply no place for this group identity BS.
You can be proud of your heritage. You can be proud of your religion. Your personal , cultural, and religious values can inform your vote, and the public debate.
But at the voting booth, you should just be proud to be American.
How can we call people racist if they do not place a label on them? Last I looked we are all from the human race, with the exception of the evil that I will label TERRORISTS!
HAhaHaaa Magical thinking…
We were loudly informed last year that “abortion is a Jewish right,” so I doubt they’ll be coming over to the GOP even if America adds another $14 billion for Israel on top of the annual billions we already send there.
Great joke Bro!
Relative unknown zooms to SOTH and suddenly all this reaching across the aisle.
I did note they failed to censure Talib. 23 GOP voted with the Dems to kill that.
Sounds like there’s going to be CR’s throughout campaign season. Don’t rock the boat. Commies marking time until the House flips next November? Commies don’t take a dump without a plan.
Poor Mitch McConnell
IS TURLE STILL “FROZEN” ????
