Organizer Irineo Mujica said on Tuesday the caravan had swelled since Monday by about 1,000 to more than 7,000 people, although a spokesperson for the Chiapas government said state authorities still estimated its size at around 3,500 participants.

I don’t know about you, but last time I traveled to a foreign country it was a fairly expensive endeavor. And that’s flying from a major US airport to a major foreign airport, direct.
I can’t begin to imagine what it would cost to fly from a third world country (few direct flights, most are routed via Frankfurt or Istanbul) to Mexico, and thence by bus or whatever to the US border. We’re looking at multiple thousands of dollars per person, plus food, lodging, incidentals, etc. A transnational organization or a nation state by the scope of the expense must be paying for this “caravan.” This is an invasion.
