The private corporation known as the Republican National Committee, will not accept or allow unapproved candidate appearances. OK, you accept that as the baseline for the next part?

RNC has no issue with DeSantis -v- Newsom. RNC approves and sanctions DeSantis -v- Newsom.
Modern American politics is a corporate control operation. The Republican wing of that private, corporately controlled operation is affirmed by constructing the illusion of choice. The illusion of choice requires strict control mechanisms. The RNC is the control mechanism.

Maybe if we’re lucky we have an 1860 type election after all. The Democrats will be split with RFK’s Independent run, so now all we need is for the RINO wing of the RNC to choose an Independent run as well.
Four Parties in all and the new MAGA Republican Party will come out on top in my opinion. Most MAGA leaning Republicans will stick with Trump.
We can finally bury the Rockefeller/Bush Republicans for good.

Why not just let the Republicans run their candidate and Trump run as independent–after winning the primaries on write-in votes where he is not allowed to be on the ballot and not being accepted as the nominee.
Then the R and D candidates can debate each other and Trump and RFK, Jr. can sit down and have a discussion-style debate at a table like Cheney and Lieberman did. This would show a different side to Trump.

Trump would not be accepted by the RINO’s, but the benefit is to make them vote. Any not supporting would automatically create a ‘ no go anymore ‘ list and would be obvious. Within our Representative Republic, there has to be other solutions for working outside the current Corporate controlled one-party political system. The division political tactics used by the current system keeps most Americans from seeing past the petty wedge issues presented to them. Using some type of system so unaffiliated voters can form coalitions (pseudo political parties for ballot access) and join together to eliminate the Corporate orientation of elections and all the politicians who were selected for office by that system. I think we all know the current system is untenable.

Without Trump, the RNC debates are like the kids table at Thanksgiving dinner. Anything the Democrats do will have a similar feel; even with Biden which will never happen. If Gavin Newsome makes the mistake of debating DeSantis while Trump is still running away with the nomination, it will only diminish the California Governor’s image. Besides, DeSantis is getting desperate. Biden will never debate Trump. People would only watch him for the same reason they watch ice skating and car races; for the accidents.

No one is watching the GOP “debates” or Fox News, so what difference does it make?
I suppose the RNC will claim Newsom vs DeSanctus isn’t a “presidential debate” (we know they wish it were), which is different than Vivek and Christi holding a Republican presidential debate outside the control of the RNC.
If you read Vivek’s X post, you’ll see he recognized the last debate was intentionally plunged into a “crabs in a bucket” scenario so he couldn’t win again. I wish he’d have gone full-wolverine and exposed the “illusion of choice” charade the RNC and DNC are engaged in. Maybe now he has reason to.
