I was listening to Dan Bongino’s podcast and he kept showing sound bites of “DEMOGRAPHIC DESTINY” in which the liberals keep saying right out loud how America will change to where the white demographic will become a minority and the country will turn brown.
He also said that while Trump was in office, he tried to pass a law changing the census compilation to only count legal American citizens and a lawsuit prevented him from doing so. The liberals don’t want the votes, per se, they want the seats. Thus, if 100,000 people migrate from California (Democrat) to Texas (Republican – I know, I know, just hear me out!) then that will shift the number of seats California has (a loss) at the electoral college level and it will shift Texas’s too (a gain). The illegals were the way the liberals were going to backfill the internal migration of American citizens who are tired of their home state’s liberal agenda and who relocate to more conservative locales.
As much as I laughed when the bus loads of illegals were dropped at Martha’s Vineyard’s door step – I was equally appalled that these barbarian marauders were being brought further inland into our country. Speaking of schools…teaching in OH, we had a school-wide assembly, where we had to watch a movie all about how wonderful immigration was for building a strong country. When we got back to class, the Dude and I (we were teaching two classes together) led a discussion about the possible downsides, which were never mentioned; we could, since we had just come from CA schools.
We talked of classrooms in “portables” in the parking lots, kids who didn’t know English, trying to find translators for meetings for both Mandarin and Cantonese for the Chinese families, and finding Mexican flags put on the desktop computers as screen savers….kinda had the feeling we were the only ones with the experience to have that kind of discussion when we got back to our classrooms.
Sometimes you can get away with some really subversive things as a teacher…that are good and useful for your students.

I canvased for him in New Orleans that year and saw/heard his campaign speech at a packed Tulane ‘Sugar Bowl’ Stadium that held over 80K. He is called the Father of Modern Conservatism.

I had a friend since childhood, I remember the exact moment we became friends in second grade. That was 1971. For the next seven years we spent most of our free time together. We were like brothers.
In November of 2021 he and his sister came down with the advanced flu. You know the one, the one they denied treatment for, the one they said we couldn’t Worship for, the one we had to shut down the world for two weeks for. Yeah, that one.
He took one of the last beds in the local hospital. He was there for five weeks. He survived even through the Remdesevir protocol. He spent two months on oxygen afterwards. He was scared – very scared.
His sister did not get any treatment whatsoever. She was actually denied treatments that were unorthodox but successful. She was always overweight, probably by 50%. She did die – which I maintain was from lack of treatment. She was a very sweet lady, and I always had a special relationship with her. She was like my sister – one grade older than us.
I spent from March 20, 2020 through October 2022 working from home due to the corporate policies around said flu.
Most of those days I spent some time trying to encourage my fellow travelers to resist the tyrannical moves which were being foisted upon us. I understood, in a very small way, what our forefathers did for our freedom. I fought the masks, the jabs, the closures. I stood. Sometimes all you can do is stand. And I stood. I stood with healthcare workers in demonstrations fighting the mandates. Many of my friends in that line lost their jobs because they wouldn’t take part in the experiments. I work in IT, so I had no personal dog in that fight. Yet, I believed every one of those fights was everyone’s fight! I also stood when the local “officials” had meetings discussing lockdowns, mandates, and all forms of infringements.
In June of 2022, my “brother”, told me I did nothing. He said, “You all believe you’re so brave, so strong. And in the end you did…. nothing”.
That was the last time I spoke with him.
I drew some of my courage from the community Sundance built here, and the analysis, insight, wisdom and Faith he brought forth each and every day.
You can say I did nothing, my “brother”. In the end, you’ll never know the courage of your convictions when you don’t stand when everyone else is sitting.
So, in a way I can relate to the letter writer. Many don’t want to open their eyes. Many won’t open their eyes. But those that do will STAND!
We are told to do all we can, and then to stand.
You did, and may the Lord richly reward you for your steadfast faithfulness, and may your friend have his eyes opened and repent.
He nailed it for all of us.

I made the mistake of devoting this summer to reading and re-reading the history of Rome, specifically the century before and the century after the end of the Republic. The problem with revolution, as the century from the rise of the rebellious Tribune, Tiberius Grachhi in 135 BC to the victory of the final dictator Augustus at Actium in 31 B.C. bloodily illustrated, is that the people give up and welcome the Emperor.
