I would guess that he was merely trying to say what Dobbs said on his podcast today to Devin, but Matt blew the message (or did not have time for it in sound bite world, more likely).

Paraphrasing from memory, Lou said that in a normal and fair system, the some 50 of the people who showed up who actually did break windows or do damage would have been prosecuted, appropriately, obviously not with the insane sentences being handed out. Property damage should be addressed (as, I might add, in a normal and fair system, the damage to historical statues all over the country should have been).

Last night on Newsmax, I was very pleased with Sebastian Gorka’s takedown of how Hollywood and Television have played weak minded Americans. I especially liked how he used the show, Will & Grace, to demonstrate how homosexuality was gently nudged into the mindset of Americans. (Now, that’s just one example as I never watched the show myself.)His examples and testimony of those who know and understand Hollywood was a real eye opener.
Yes, try Newsmax, but be prepared to watch several episodes because all of the Commentators are different and you have to decide who you like best. It isn’t just a spoon feed experience. I only watch about 4-5 different Commentators and find them all interesting and different.

At my age, I’ve come to believe that the fact that I never gained fame with my music is a blessing. I can play for my own pleasure and that of our (very) small local audiences without being beholden to anyone.

He is right….the GOP puts together committees, great sound bites, good talking points always with the illusion they are going after the corruption and spending issues. When in fact…they are playing along with the demonrats! Maria actually uses a form of projection when she asks Matt if he is working with the demonrats…when in fact, its those she’s covering for that are doing that. So for those ignorant people out there that still tune in to Fox thinking they are getting conservative truth, its a ruse folks! And Maria is just another level of it! Wake up! The real truth can not be found an tv news, in the legacy main stream ever again! Turn it off!!!

This is the best interview I have ever see . Matt was brilliant and made all the right points that we need to hear. Maria was also great in playing the devil’s advocate. She put a lot of emotion and tension into the interview. Whatever Maria’s beliefs are I don’t know. But she certainly made the interview in to a “great debate”.
I may have to rehabilitate Gaetz. He was good here. Maria is gone forever though. I let Faux go years ago, good to see we’re all alive to this treachery.
No way someone takes Murdoch money without being Murdoch’s mouthpiece. I was always skeptical of Tucker for that reason, knowing he somehow was pulling his punches. In the end he had too much integrity to take the blood money.

She was singing a different tune this morning. She closed her show this AM talking about that interview and was agreeing with Gaetz on many of his points. I guess she took the temperature of the room and entered damage control mode.
She asked “tough questions” and was proud of Gaetz rising to the challenge to answer. Sooooo fake.
Putting aside the offensive vulgarities by some in this thread….the analysis here needs to be more nuanced.
Bartiromo provided a platform and strong support to PDJT starting in 2016. Along with Dobbs and Pirro, she ended up as a target in the Smartmatic lawsuit vis her role in broadcasting strong assertions vis a coup and compromised election in 2020. She also interviewed Navarro following Jan 6 and continued to voice support for election fraud evidence. Btw..it is interesting reading reportage/analysis on this little piece of history – without exception the “unbiased” analysis uniformly claims that coup and election fraud were/are “baseless allegations” and “false claims” – though there has never been any substantive, thorough, in depth fact based investigation of documented irregularities in 2020. It just all “lacks standing”; in short, TPTB variant of information warfare.
Gaetz’s media punchline issue is McCarthy not doing his job/keeping to commitments he made in order to finally win Speaker approval. His emotional accusation is that McCarthy is ultimately a creature of big biz lobbyists. This may all (very likely) be true, but it’s a sidebar to the core issue in this clip: Bartiromo and Gaetz are arguing over process. IMO Gaetz is spot on: there is process and there is action. Gaetz is arguing that the House needs to embed action into its appropriations process (duh; this was a main selling point for restoring Republican House leadership in 2020). And action has not been a highlight under McCarthy – though the real truth is that action has not been a highlight under Republican leadership….period.
Bartiromo has connections and background we are all aware of. This does modify the position one must adopt when considering her analysis. However, she also has an established record of supporting PDJT and dogging leadership for corruption.
In this clip she seems to be arguing that end state for not supporting McCarthy vis debt ceiling resolution is the Senate acting unilaterally with a continuing resolution – and that this ultimately sustains Deep State initiatives (engineered during Obama’s first term) as noted by Sundance over the last many years. Gaetz, IMO, has the upper hand in this argument. He argues that this simply repeats failed history – basically highlighting that Republican rubber stamping appropriations in toto vice examining and approving by line item does not fix anything. It only perpetuates.
My purpose is not to exonerate or defend Bartiromo. I find her shrill at times. I have always wondered about her far reaching access every year at the annual WEF plotting…errr…planning fest in Davos. Nevertheless, she has gone above and beyond what other media mouthpieces have risked in providing a platform for PDJT and calling out election fraud.
So what’s changed here? Why is she adopting a position that seems at odds with previous patterns? She never addresses Gaetz’s core argument – she has no answer to his claims about process/outcomes vis appropriations; and, she does not present an alternative path. She appears to be arguing that McCarthy has initiated efforts – that he is doing his job and patience is needed (Biden investigations, budget negotiations, immigration, etc., etc.). Gaetz smiles and simply responds “and what has been accomplished?” She seems to be offering a faith based response – “trust McCarthy…he has a plan to get things done”. The evidence thus far suggests that is not the case.
It’s not always black or white. Deeper digging is needed here to ferret out (i.e., document) the background on her position: pressure from the folks who pay her salary? Deep State mole planted in the media? WEF allegiances? Process misunderstanding? Lack of depth on budget negotiations? Shielding something dangerous covered by continuing resolution? She may very well be a mole or have changed her spots. But she is not a fool like the Stelters/Cuomos of the media world. This crucifying people the moment there is one disagreement without deeper research is tantamount to becoming what one abhors.
I agree. It doesn’t cost me anything to doubt she’s gone totally over to the dark side. Time will tell, and in this instance Gaetz successfully made all his points and she didn’t.

MATT GAETZ IS AMAZING in this interview. He was calm and cool, and clear, and actually convinced Maria Bartiromo on the single spending bills! We need more Matt Gaetzes in Congress. He did a great job pointing out the Potemkin Village, the “performances” that the Republicans are good at, but how Republicans get nothing actually done for the people of this country. Thanks for this interview.

95% of the time, Maria opens her Sunday show with Kevin McCarthy – because of this I quit listening to her years ago.

It was more disconcerting to see Mark Levin chase the Gaetz throw down with jabs at Gaetz and defending Maria.
And what about all those Ro Khanna interviews Maria has had without the same choler as with Gaetz.
Spot on, Sundance! “What about this?” “What about that?” Shameful. Gaetz bringing up the DHS spending bill completed in June and still not brought to the floor was all I needed to hear. Representative government may have been lost decades ago, but there is hope with guys like Gaetz demonstrating how bad the lobbyist and special interest pull is upon our supposed Democratic Republic.
Gaetz is absolutely amazing. He explained in this interview all the concerns of Americans about the slow process over impeaching Biden, the over spending no matter what is promised and the truth about McCarthy and others being run by lobbyist. Those along with at least a half a dozen other concerns that are being ignored or lied about by McCarthy that poor Bartiromo tried to explain away. Every defense Bartiromo made for McCarthy Gaetz blew out of the water.
