A remarkable discovery inside a court motion today in Georgia. In the case against President Trump and 19 codefendants, District Attorney Fani Willis files a lengthy notice of conflict of interest against several defense attorneys in the case {SEE FILING HERE}.
Essentially, the issue is that several defense attorneys for the defendants also represented state witnesses in other legal matters involving the Georgia election in 2020. Within one of the notices given, Fani Willis notes well-known lawyer Lin Wood was a participating lawyer with Sidney Powell & others and is now a potential state witness against them.
Fulton County prosecutors are essentially trying to remove lawyers from representing clients, by using conflicts of interest they are creating by making witnesses out of their peer lawyers who sued the state over 2020 election issues. It’s a Lawfare tactic also being used by Jack Smith in Florida; however, in this example the extent of the Lin Wood cooperation with the prosecution is unknown.
Lin Wood previously worked with Sidney Powell and Lt Gen Michael Flynn, until there was some kind of falling out. Lin Wood retreated from cases related to election issues and has now apparently been enlisted by Fani Willis as a state witness against the team he previously supported.
A remarkable change from this…. On November 18, 2020, Attorney L Lin Wood filed a motion within Georgia for an emergency injunction to halt the certification of the state election until resolution of numerous false ballots and ballot counting issues were reconciled. With any other defendants in court attorney-client privilege is sacred. There are federal prosecutors who were fired and lost their law licence for even looking into a defence attorney who was involved in jury tampering during the trial. The judge threw out the prosecution case and fined the government $600,000. The fact that the defence attorney was suspected of bribing a juror was not a valid reason to investigate the lawyer according to the judge who went insane on the government!

I follow (sort of) Lin Wood on Telegram and he has never waivered in his support of President Trump. Yes, Sydney Powell pulled a fast on Mr. Wood in adding his name to some legal filing when Mr. Wood had no participation.
I will say that because of Lin Wood I was suspect of MTG, Powell and Flynn. All pulled some sort of skank move on Lin Wood. However, through out all of this he has been huge supporter of President Trump. Anything to the contrary would deeply surprise me.
When Wood came under lawfare and death threats, Flynn recommended two security experts to assess and implement physical and cyber security systems at his new homestead in SC. Those guys ended up copying all of Woods’ files which were later used against him by the lawfare mobs.

Had some non-election related ethical problems over his handling of other client’s suits, as well as a dispute with his partners on sharing the fee from the Sandman settlement.
GA conjured up ethical problems and kept Wood in court non-stop to defend his license.
I think the problem with his partners was of his own making. Partners share both profits and losses. That’s the reward and risk of a partnership.
Unless Wood had some waiver from his partners to keep the entire fee, he should have put it in the firm’s account.

Fulton County wants to completely ignore those surveillance cameras which they had forgotten about. They want to throw into prison a then-sitting President for “taking Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.”
Anything to avoid the alternative: where 450 million absentee ballots are cast in a nation of about 333 million, and sometime around May 2025 it is “declared” that Trump lost by a margin of 125 votes. You can easily see this coming.
The SCOTUS has already issued these decisions. The President(!) cannot “commit a crime” by exercising the duties of his Office or any actions tangential to the same. Period.
Mike, you make sound and logical arguments but the legal yard stick of “INTENT” created during the Clinton Server Incident by the DoJ and upheld in the courts at the time is going to be deployed.
The charges are centered on the “INTENT” President Trump and his co-conspirators to over turn a “certified” election which even the Federal Courts refused to challenge in 2020.
The success of the “INTENT” Gambit will be up to the courts. If the courts do not buy it, then your arguments may win the day …. but if not your arguments will be ignored at least until the appeals go deep into the court systems.
“The” President is afforded a Duty by the Constitution itself. None of the parties you referred to are: “Him.” He isn’t like anybody else in the country. He IS(!) the Executive Branch. He IS(!) “Article 2.” And the SCOTUS has already said that, many times and in many ways.
When the President believes that “the Laws are not being faithfully executed” anywhere, he can say anything he likes to anyone he likes. And he cannot commit a crime. Furthermore, “Separation of Powers” says that no Branch(!) can interfere with any other. His “intent” is not for you to judge. Again, the SCOTUS has already said this.

Problem is you are ignoring the FACT that the INTENT as constructed today, if accepted and proven in the eye of the jury, wipes away your entire argument.
Authority has to be properly applied. Nobody is above the law nor ensuring the proper execution of their duty, plenary powers, authority, whatever you want to call it.
The purpose of the INTENT gambit will be to prove the President DID NOT PROPERLY use his authority. You have this thing about ignoring the FACT the NOBODY is challenging if AUTHORITY EXISTS. The attack is on PROPER EXECUTION and USE OF GRANTED AUTHORITY.
The existance of authority is not a get out of jail free card as you seem to imply.
A “jury,” anywhere, does not have the prerogative to judge what “The Sitting President” chooses to do in the performance of his Constitutional office. You can “impeach” him if you want to, but that action is expressly not a criminal indictment. Congress cannot oppose him, and the Judiciary cannot judge him.
The Constitutional issue is easy to anticipate, and the SCOTUS already did. There are over 4,000 counties in this country, each able to empanel a Grand Jury. The President cannot perform the duties of his Branch(!) if, each time he made a decision or gave an order that some “minion” didn’t agree with, thousands of Grand Juries were convened and each one handed down indictments.

Not sure where this is headed but circumstances involving “being a participant” in a Felony Crime or “trying to hide participation” in a Felony Crime are among the legal issues where Attorney Client Privilege can be challenged.
Also, Lin Wood and other attorneys as an “officers of the court” are bound to report felony crimes.
I agree with Sundance that this is an assault on the US Legal System, as an attempt to restrict an accused from having legal counsel and/or who the accused can choose as legal counsel. It will be interesting to see how this assault on the US Legal System is played out in court by the DoJ and how the courts rule to motions involved and evidence presented.
Should have said arguments by the Fulton County DA and GA Courts and ultimately made by the DoJ when the appeals reach the Federal Courts.

Wood has been engaged in a fight with the GA Bar for months until recently, and then ‘retired’ from the legal profession. By many accounts he embarrassed a lot of people in the legal profession in what appears to have been a stacked deck persecution hit job to disbarment.
Wood has had the same concerns about Flynn as you and we have. He has stated and continuously maintains that Flynn is a snake. Whether true or not, I recall reading the contents of their spats and it would have caused me concern had I been in his place at the time. Not sure about the nature of the quarrel with Powell;
Wood profusely professes his Christianity and urges others daily to seek Christ and blasts a lot of the same false prophets and preachers that many of us do continuously and always gives credit to his Maker for anything positive that happens to him;
Wood was subpoenaed by the Special Grand Jury in GA previously this Spring regarding this case and has made comments about it and has maintained that he supports Trump over anyone and everyone and is convinced all elections are rigged (similar to us). He also thinks as stated that all politicians in both parties in office are selected, ala Dutchman;
Wood released a statement today on Telegram that he has no idea why they have subpoenaed him against Powell;
While some question Wood’s mental state in the recent past (including me), he has maintained his support for Trump, rails continuously against the Deep State and Democrats; and has an impeccable reputation for honesty.
With regards to this subpoena from Fani, consider the source. It may very well be a scare tactic or bluff.
I will take Wood’s word over Willis’ word and intentions any day until proven different.

I was just about to post this. Lin was at the first Clay Clark event and I think Flynn was there too. He got on stage and called out the child trafficking and has since on his telegram. That is the real reason they have continuously drug him thru the mud.

I agree completely with Mike R above. I can’t believe the Supremes are allowing this. I need Marcia or some of the other legal experts help here, but I believe, actually I’m asking, that the Supreme Court can issue a finding or initiate a hearing on their own authority, without waiting for a case to be brought to them because they oversee the federal court system. But they don’t exercise that authority. If this isn’t so, fine, it would be a relief that they are not being direlict.
But whatever the case, look at what the judiciary has brought upon the nation by keeping their mouths shut in late 2020.
Had just the Texas case been given a hearing, the country would be either picking Trump’s successor now, or Biden facing his record straight in the face.

I have been subjected to a barrage of Mockingbird media requests this morning to comment on stories claiming that I have “flipped” on President Trump because I have been subpoenaed as a witness in the Powell case.
There is NO TRUTH to those accusations.
I have no idea why I am being asked to testify at the trial. I have had no discussions with the DA’s office since I testified before the special grand jury several months ago.
Strikes me as yet another effort by the FAKE media to attack or smear me.
