But for the first time since tracking began in December, Trump also leads Biden by 3 percentage points in a hypothetical general-election matchup, outside the surveys’ margins of error.
Ramaswamy gets a bump: Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy is backed by 6% of potential GOP primary voters, his best showing in Morning Consult surveys so far following a steady improvement over the past week. A problem I have with early voting within our current climate is I’m giving a potential adversary both my vote and some time to recognize it, thus increasing the potential that my vote might get “lost” in the trunk of a car that finds itself at the bottom of a river.
I think we should vote strategically. If you live in an area where it is likely that you will be allowed to vote on Election Day, take that into consideration.
Then again, waiting till the day of gives them the opportunity to do what did in the Arizona Governor’s race. They broke numerous voting machines, created wrong size ballots that couldn’t be counted, sent people all over the place to vote.
They made it a total nightmare for people waiting to vote on the day of.
I know it sounds like the thing to do, we’d all like to go back to that, but we have to play to win the game we’ve been given.
Thanks Resolute. Point taken. I should have also added early, in-person voting. The mail-ins are the ones that are risky for fraud. Machine malfunctions occurred on election day in key states (Az). But what we can also do now is find out when the voter rolls have been last cleaned as that is the list used to generate ballots and support in-person fraudsters from impersonating illegal voters. Glad we will have voter ID this time in NC after a long fight with Dems that goes back to Obama admin.

Here in my Florida you can check to see mail in ballot got counted. Vote early enough to have a window for checking.
Voting early is like playing rock-paper-scissors and always announcing first that “I chose rock!” Conveniently your opponent then shows paper. “Oh, well then, I choose paper!” And your opponent then shows scissors. Etc…..
If you vote early you just gave the other side time to create a fake ballot to neutralize your vote. That’s why we need to return to one-day, in-person voting. (Disabled/overseas should at least double-opt-in, as you have to just to get on an email list.)

I remember having to do that 30 years ago, and that’s how it ought to be. But in our state now, everything is mail-in, i.e. zero serious check that anybody is who they say they are.

Delegate rules and voting procedures are arcane and require study. For example, even though MD votes late in the primary cycle, you need to have your delegates chosen and designated (endorsed) by the candidate by FEB 24. Then they are on the primary ballot with the candidate. Things may have changed since 2016 (it’s been 7 Years), I would guess not.
And don’t think the process is not dirty. Since the delegates are on the ballot, they have to go through a STATE process to get properly listed. But for an honest Trump supporting MD civil servant in 2016, Trump’s delegates in MD would have never made it to the ballot because a Katja Bullock (See BUSH and Presidential Personnel sabotage in 2017) enabled Republican Party of MD absolutely tried to ‘fix’ the delegates for Jeb!. They will try the same for RON!.
That game is on even more this cycle since PDT is even MORE dominant a national figure this cycle and Ron! is less of a candidate than Jeb!.
