President Trump did not ask, tell or instruct Mike Pence to violate the constitution; he simply wanted Pence to send a request for election review *back to the state* legislative bodies, where a determination of election accuracy could take place, before federal certification. The Republican leadership is in quandary here. If Trump refuses to be intimidated and bow out, they will either refuse to allow him to run in the primary in which case Trump starts new party which would probably break the Republican party into two very very unequal pieces, or they allow him to run and keep trying to sabotage him all the way.
I don’t think they would be stupid enough to try and bar President Trump from the primaries directly, but desperate idiots do desperate things.
I would expect the blue states hastily to pass measures prohibiting felons, or those under indictment for a felony, from having their names on the general ballot. This will take PA and MI out of play.
The GOP absolutely has its tit in the wringer here. As an independent, Trump can instantly siphon-off at least half the GOP votes in the general election and would also kill the reelection plans of many of these congressional RINOs in 2024. I think the host here has said many times (correctly) that losing bigly is fine as long as Trump is gone.

I think its a battle of PERCEPTIONS, and this is why PDJT hasn’t already left the RNC, to form his own A1 party, as many here (myself included at one point) have urged he “should” do.
He needs to FORCE them to openly deny him the nomination, so that the Onus is on THEM.

Biggest mistake Trump made was picking this fraud to be his VP. If you had told me back in 2016 that all of these Republicans were corrupted by money and the establishment, I would have had a hard time believing it. I knew many were and that’s why I had become a big Tea Party supporter when Obomination was President. And then McConnell went after McDaniel in Mississippi to support a lousy establishment candidate in Cochran. That was the first time my eyes were opened just how deep the corruption was in the GOP.
Trump has now exposed not only their corruption but their criminality, and there is no way the GOP can survive. If they do then the country definitely will not survive. I don’t see how anyone can support another GOP candidate ever again. These Republicans have to be behind the spying on Trump, the Mueller investigation and the entire Russian investigation. No way its just the Democrats that are behind all this. Now I can hear these Republicans like Lindsey Graham, McConnell and others praising Mueller and saying Trump needs to allow him to investigate in a new light. They all Knew.

The RNC convention is july 15-18, 2024. It looks doable to me to raise a mixed campaign strategy of third party and/or individual run depending on the state.
Also here are a buffet of various other strategies he could possibly employ separate from a third party and/or individual run:
Primary strategy: he may be able to run as a dual candidate in a handful of states’ primaries. He did that in 2016 when he ran as a republican and on another party ticket in the primaries in California. Only a half dozen or so allow this, but worth considering as a ready-made backup.
And another angle is to work with existing parties of which there are 209 parties. Many are semi-inactive. It might be faster to reactivate an existing party than to start a new party, don’t know those details. While there are many parties, they are not active in all 50 states, so it would be a mix of parties if he went this way.
The point being mid-July 2024 is the latest date by which RNC would have to block him from the nomination. At which point he would have a reasonable window to go down various routes to get on the ballot in all states before fall deadlines.
This came up, during the issues on whether Obammy, McStain etc were citisens and met the Constitutional requirements for POTUS.
Basically, the SoS’s defer to the RNC and DNC, which send them a letter, both assuring the SoS that so and so IS the parties nominee and has their endorsement, and that this person meets the Constitutional requirements.
Without that letter, PDJT can NOT get on the ballot, AS A REPUBLICAN.
EACH State has its own rules for “third party” candidates.
Its POSSIBLE, in some States the Libertarian or Constitutionalist parties would “endorse” PDJT, but I wouldn’t count on it.
States may also have different ways of handling “write ins”, but I am not going to allow my State to prevent me from writing in PDJT.
If they choose not to COUNT it, thats on them, but I WILL vote for PDJT in 2024.

If you have been carefully reading Sundance for any length of time you should know that the GOP / RNC Uniparty does not actually want to win a general presidential election when the Republican candidate is not aligned with their corrupt interests. Up until 2016 they had successfully controlled every candidate who made it to the general election. That’s why we had a string of losers after Reagan. And GWBush only won against Gore in 2000 by the skin of his teeth via SCOTUS decision.
VP’s are not selected during the primary election season. Only when a candidate has secured enough electors at the end of the primaries to become the Party’s nominee in the general election does that candidate (actually the party officials) then “choose” a running mate. And in President Trump’s case, there was a concerted effort behind the scenes (but still widely reported) to preclude Trump’s official nomination via a floor nomination at the 2016 Republican Convention. Candidate Trump announced Pence’s “selection” as VP in mid-July, 2016.
Many were not happy, knowing how Establishment-centered/loyal Pence had proven to be.

Pence was the Establishment’s stooge who was “recommended to” (actually forced on) Trump to both spy against Trump in the post-primary campaign and in the first term if Trump won. The GOPe probably thought Hillary would win up until the (more reliable) internal October polls told them otherwise.

Yes, I have paid attention to this for several years and have made many comments.
The problem I have is the so called establishment probably knew that Trump was going to lose to Hillary. The whole country was thinking this way.
Why would the establishment pick a candidate like Pence who only strengthened Trumps candidacy in an assist to win the 2016 election? In other words, the selection of Pence helped secure the evangelicals in this country to help, not hurt Trump’s chances to win the 2016 election. But if what you said was true about the establishment wanting to lose when the nominee doesn’t align with their interest, then this argument fails by the selection of Pence. Now I could see the selection of Pence as a backup plan if he wins but this is a completely different strategy.
The same argument goes with the so called establishment picking Sarah Palin in 2008 to run with McCain. She was an executive(Governor) and a woman and they believed these two characteristics would benefit McCain.
This is the argument that I have been making. That it isn’t the establishment that makes this pick for VP, rather they make suggestions on candidates that help balance the ticket in order to win the election, but the decision is entirely up to the candidate that won the nomination for President and his advisers. They make the final decision on the VP. I remember this from the selection Palin because all of the criticism was directed toward McCain and his advisers, not the establishment. Much of the criticism came from establishment Republicans, I remember this like it was yesterday.
My belief is Trump and his advisers made this pick for Pence as VP. Was their pressure from the establishment? Probably, but the selection is made by the nominee and his group of advisers.
I was disappointed Trump did not pick Newt for his v.p. We heard later that he regretted his choice and wanted to change it before the primaries. He was livid. He has got to learn to stick with his gut and not minions whispering in his ear.

They cashed in the insurance when Pence did not send the electors back to the states; we saw him get rewarded – a token pressed into his hand with a handshake immediately after he certified the electoral votes – for that “service”.
Candidate DJT did NOT “pick” Pence: it is a long fostered illusion that a Presudential nominee actually “picks” their running mate.
Just read the by-laws, where it States THE PARTY must give its “endorsement” to ANY Candidate, running for ANY office, in order for them to be listed on the ballot as a REPUBLICAN.
Therefore, the PARTY has “veto authority” to tell their nominee “No, you can NOT have (for instance) Kari Lake as your VP, because the Party would not support that choice.”
WOULD they be that blatant about it,…? They never have, so far as we know. However, WE are not “privvy” to the behind closed door discussions that precede the nominee announcing his “pick”.
WERE PDJT to be the R party nominee, I can’t imagine the RNC agreeing to a VP that would inherently be an “Insurance policy” against removal from office, either by 25th amendment, Impeachment or Executive action, which KL undoubtedly WOULD be.
And I can not imagine PDJT ‘settling’ for anything less.
So, even WERE the RNC and he to reach an accomodation on him being the nominee, they would encounter this stumbling block.
However I don’t see it getting this far, as I think the RNC has their plan, and they are sticking to it; deny PDJT the nomination (cause “indictments and Insurrection”) and then push RDS, confident that when given the non-choice of RDS or Joe, we will “come around” and vote for our final enslavement with RDS.

John McCain was a Senior Member of the RINO party. He wielded a lot of power. Looking back, I can see that the Uniparty wanted Obama to win in 2008 just like they wanted Obama to win in 2012 when Romney purposely blew the second debate and Ryan lost his debate to the vegetable Biden.
My guess is that the RINO party approved of Palin because, in their minds, she brought nothing to the table. She was an unknown with a “golly gosh darn” speech pattern that offended the pearl clutching RINOs. My opinion is that the RINOs thought the she would come across as repulsive and uncouth. She was supposed to be an embarrassment to the RINO ticket.
Unfortunately for the RINOs, her populism speech and ideas resonated with republican voters. Once she became popular outside of the DC beltway they realized that they had to destroy her to make sure that her kind never rises again.
I remember the MSM and McCain’s people attacking her and doing an investigation into “who paid for her campaign clothes”. They needed to destroy her nationally and in Alaska.

I thought ” What a Phoney!” and couldn’t understand why this fake guy was on the ticket.

I was very upset with President Trump’s choice of 30Pence of silver in his first run for President. Pence had vetoed legislation as governor that would have protected business owners from frivolous law suits because of faith based business decisions. Christian bakeries vs Gay weddings etc. A little media pressure was applied and Pence folded like a cheap suit. I doubt President Trump would repeat his mistakes in selecting the men and women for his administration again, but Pence was really a doozy and cost DJT badly in the end.

The Pence duo claim to be Christians, but their fake humility does not comport with the lofty behavior and ambition they both parade, ie; Pence has been increasingly open in trashing Trump, apparently having lied previously about being his ally and supporter through the short Trump presidency. It looks as if Pence could not and cannot now see himself in second place behind Trump.
As to Mrs. Pence, her ambitions are equally grandiose!! A blurb in a magazine article, published during the run-up to the Trump election, reported her saying that the dress she had bought for the inaugural ball no longer pleased her, so she had her dressmaker tear it apart and reconstruct it on the night before the festivities — in other words, the poor seamstress was made to stay up all night to make that happen!
This kind of uppity behavior makes me wonder about the Pence’s claim to be Christians. My guess would be that they sit every Sunday in the front row of one of those socially high-minded and converged DEI-supportimg evangelical churches that populate the landscape all over the US; ie, where all its congregants hear from the pulpit is “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for you.”
