Yes, human nature rules for those 99% of us resigned to jostling within the terrarium. For us, the poker chips (or credit slips) matter. And since less than 1% of the Endogenous Many even bother to chase money (gold) ‘wealth-building’ is an absurd paper chase marked for imminent extinction anyway.
However those who create money (really not money at all, but debt-money or credit) are exogenous to the terrarium and thus don’t need to accumulate it.

The Exogenous Few are all about social engineering, gene alteration and, I would argue, the cessation of ‘long-form’ humanity. If a few corporation must be sacrificed on the altar, so be it. I doubt the banking families even shop at Target, so it’s not like their spending habits will be affected.
In a 2009 interview, one of their Chief Terrarium Lieutenants George Soros said that when China becomes the world’s economic engine, replacing the US, the world will simply have to contend with being powered by ‘a smaller motor’. This is a giveaway. Wealth maximization (‘trillions at stake’) plays second fiddle to world control.
Soros is clearly welcoming, on the part of the folks above him, a smaller economy and with it, fewer trillions. This hardly argues for wealth maximization as the be-all, end-all.
