How many votes would Trump get as a write in candidate? May be necessary in the Republican primaries. Even if he did not win a primary he could get enough support to dictate who is the Republican candidate. Frankly I do not think any of the

Unfortunately states have individual rules regarding write-ins. And I think some don’t allow a loser in a party primary to switch to independent for the general. This is one reason why it’s so important for us to pay attention to local and state elections as well as federal.

A good thought. I had not thought of it, but I am also not sure it gets us any closer to the truth. But if we don’t consider all of the possibilities we can, we just might not find the whole truth. They want his as a way to get rid of Trump. And that’s all. The repubs are just as happy with that as well. It’s not that he’s a Democrat like they are, but that he’s a pliable and controllable Republican like Lindsey Graham or mitch McConnell. Maybe more like Ted Cruz. Allowed to bluster and blow and tear certain people apart on certain issues but never touch their golden egg. After all he can’t get any of that wealth if he’s tearing up their racket. Seems I may be in a minority but once I discovered who was behind DeSantis campaign, I figure he is Bush 3.0. And those of us here know that Bush was just as instrumental in the creation of the 4th branch of government as Clinton and Obama.
