Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Goodaye Bet and Marti! Herbal tea here. Morning walk done, will have to do it earlier, getting warm. Drove to town and waiting to have the Jag inspected. 30-45 minutes wait.
G’day, dear G! You reminded me!
My license doesn’t expire until my birthday in late October…yet about 4 weeks ago I got a renewal letter. Renewed online and whereas before it was 6 years before another renewal, I noticed it is now 8!! It came within 10 days. Hmmmmm…
Curiouser and curiouser, said Alice…
I didn’t know Randy Weingartner had a side gig………it’s probably just another rouse to get near underage little girls.

Young man has found his voice
The Mitchell B-25 was designed and built by North American Aviation Co. The same company that that designed and built the P-51 Mustang. It was the most produced medium bomber of WW II in Allied service and after serving throughout the war remained in US Service long afterward. B-25s served in every theater during WW II. The RAF and the Soviets got some also. It served in many Air Forces all in countries all over the world after the war.
The example shown is a later model than that used in the Doolittle Raid. One can instantly tell that by the location of the Dorsal turret immediately behind the flight deck and the raised blister for the tail gunner. The model used for the Doolittle raid had the dorsal turret at the waist and no raised blister for the tail gunner.
The majority of the USAAF B-25s were used in the Pacific theater where the majority were modified to carry out low level raids on Japanese airfields and installations using delayed fused ordinance or bombs deployed with a small parachute.
The proven effectiveness of low level skip bombing against Japanese shipping as introduced in the Battle of the Bismarck Sea I wrote about recently, and the field modified gun ship versions prompted North American to start factory production of gun ship versions where the nose of the bomber was filled with .50 machine guns. Prior that the modifications to eliminate the bombardier and fill the nose with machine guns was carried out in the field.
Later gun ship versions added 4 more forward firing .50 cal guns located in blisters on the side of the aircraft. And some included a 75 mm artillery piece in the nose. All of that forward firing ordinance combined with a parafrag bomb load was devastating.
Example of an early field modified version of a B-25 bomber to a gunship.
Example of a factory manufactured B-25 gunship (Notice the blisters on the side with machine guns)
The Warthog’s grandfather?
The A-10 Warhog can carry more weight in ordinance than a WW II B-17 could carry.
You are absolutely correct.
I was just mentioning it as a lineage.
My uncles carried 03 Springfields and M1s; mine was the M14.
Mine varied. Sometimes an M16A1, sometimes an AK-47, sometimes an M-21 (Heavy barreled version of the M-14 accurized to be a sniper rifle), and in Lebanon the short barreled version of the SIG 556 assault rifle.
Today I think the MK-14, the modernized version of the M-14 would be my choice. I like the 7.62 x 51 round for range and penetration.
My former arty sgt. friend in grad school described the AK as “shootn’ real hard”. He rather liked the AK. He once described a NVA border “incursion” where the NVA came out of Cambodia to attack one of our forward bases. The commanding general gave my friend command of the entire division’s artillery —175’s down to 105’s . . . David described lining up every tube on the NVA regiment’s incursion. The entire divisional artillery began firing at the NVA simultaneously. He said it was quite a show. One NVA regiment, caught in the open, completely obliterated.
That is why Artillery is the King of battles. Cumulatively on battlefields of WW I and WW II more casualties resulted from Artillery fire than from any other type weapon.
I got to see the USS New Jersey fire her 16″ guns in anger while in Lebanon. No sound from where I was. Just flashes on the horizon out in the Med when she fired and then flashes in the Baka behind the ridgelines where the landed. A 9 gun broadside takes out a grid square (1 sq Km) and they fired over 200 rounds of the 16″ that night.
I have a history of the WWII Guadalcanal battles. In one of the fleet actions American and Japanese cruisers and destroyers were line-of-sight visible to each other. The author describes—this was happening in the thick of battle—an American cruiser captain watching how the enemy 8in shells were falling in neatly spaced groups. He then was described as casually commenting on the “quality” of Japanese gunnery . . . as those very same gunners were doing their level best to kill him and sink his ship.
And the Japanese Naval gunnery was of a very high standard. It was not until the USN had improved radar and developed effective radar fire control that they gained superiority in Naval gunnery in a night battle. And even after that the excellent Japanese Long Lance torpedoes continued to take their toll.
BTW I have a 1918 Enfield issued by the Imperial Armory during both wars according to the Armory stamps. It shoots great and I have the issue bayonet for it also.
A good friend a brit, now deceased, owned a Lee-Metford rolling-block sniper rifle. Seriously cool 19th century rifle. 🙂
Nice report Rah..👍…love the paint job 😂👍..in fact I think the art work from that era should be recognized as special..😀👍
🇺🇸💪😀👍
BTW.. my mom worked in a Defense plant on LINY..she put together bomb sights but I don’t remember for which Bomber 1943 ..💪👍
🇺🇸💪😀👍
My mom did, too! 🇺🇸
Died at 99 last year!💕
I am an orphan! 😢
My mother-in-law worked for a Northrup plant in Texas making airplanes. She also traveled from Oklahoma to Texas in a covered wagon when she was around 5. Amazing how far we’ve come in a hundred years.
After the Civil war Confederate General Longstreet remarried to a young lady. During WW II she worked at the Boeing Marietta, GA plant helping to build B-29 bombers. Never missed a day of work.
Norden bombsights….
Were used in B-17’s and B-25’s like the one above. Started being used in 1943
Later in the war as First lady Eleanor Roosevelt made the rounds she rose a stink about the vulgarity or pornographic nature of some of the nose art she saw. And so the higher ups in the USAAF tried to crack down on it with limited success.
It is a fact to this day, that the further from the “Flag Pole” (Higher HQ) one gets, the more latitude one has to get away with certain things. But for the bomber boys and their bases were in relatively safe rear areas, and soooo.
I have a book that shows nothing but WW II nose art. Some them are real masterpieces.
A few years ago I was drinking coffee at my favorite Barns and Nobels bookstore. The young barista had done herself up in 40’s style make-up for Halloween. She was obviously having fun with her 40’s look. I told her she looked like the nose-art on WWII wartime bombers. In truth she was a bit better than the photos. Drop. Dead. Gorgeous. Definitely enhanced my coffee break.

The unit director on the film-crew I was working on flew B25’s in N. Africa in WWII. He told me about regularly encountering ME109’s over the Med. The “done thing” was for the 09’s to loiter just out of gun range while calling up support. He said it was always a tense time—they were calling up their fighters while the bomber crew was calling up our side. It was always a real race to see who was going to get there first. If the Germans arrived first with two or three 109’s his bomber crew was going to be in a deadly fight. He described the enormous relief they’d feel when, listening to the German’s radio-net, they’d hear “Achtung, Achtung!!! Warhawk, Warhawk!!!” when the 109 pilot spotted the P40’s being flown by the 332d Fighter Group—the famous all-black “Tuskegee Airmen” squadron.
Yep, at that stage of the war P-40s and P-38s were what the Americans were flying.
Nothing like the sound of radial engine aircraft!
Photographed the “Super Rabbit” flying low over our house in North OKC. Gracious enough to turn around and show her other side.
Long history: https://b-25history.org/aircraft/4486725.htm
Those big round engines are the bomb for sure. I consider myself lucky to have been in when there were still a couple of aircraft with them in service. I jumped the C-7 Caribou and the C-123 Provider. I flew from Ft. Devens, MA to Camp McCoy, WI (Now Ft. McCoy) in a C-123 so loaded to the gills that it could not get above 5,000 ft.
One night in a bar frequented by military and ex-military folk, I was told a story (being a good anthropologist I’m always ears-up for a good story!). A Very Bad Thing was happening and a foreign service parent needed to get his child home to Texas. There was one C130 leaving, after which additional flights out were questionable. The load master agreed to take the little boy. As the story goes, what followed was a half-dozen load masters flying from half-way around the world who made sure the little boy made it safely home to Texas.
Thank you so much, Rob, for your service to our country.
There is so much history to be learned from you gentlemen in our Treehouse. Thank you all for sharing so much info about D-Day. God Bless you all.
No need to thank me. It gave back every bit as much as I put into it. I thank God I never had to go through anything like what those guys did on this day in 1944 and afterwards. The fight to break out of Normandy was a bloody mess.
thx, rah

Today in History: D-Day
my Dad went ashore that day … combat medic … survived the day, the war, the Bulge …
when it was all over he borrowed a truck full of rations and went carousing taverns with French women, trading rations for beer and favors
had a good week-and-a-half of R&R until the MPs caught up with him
a common escapade, apparently
a work colleague who’d been in 442nd Div told me he did the same, ended up in the brig just like my Dad
thx for posting, Citizen
prayers and respect to all those who participated and to their descendents

Joshua Chamberlain of Civil War fame said there is nothing so much like God as a General on the Battlefield. I say, there is nothing so much like an Angel as a medic or corpsman on a battlefield.
Amen!!!
Had a relative that was a paratrooper on this day (Utah beach), captured & was POW for the rest of the war.

Morning Betsy… love the pic..😀😀👍

Good morning, Jim. It is incredible, isn’t it??💕😊
THAT.IS.AWESOME!
Truly!!!!
When the National Anthem won’t play, the fans sing it anyway….BRAVO!!
All the American paratroopers from both the 82nd and 101st Abn Divisions were supposed to be dropped behind Utah beach to capture the causeways across the flooded areas and other key lines of communication and hold them for the amphibious forces to use as they moved in land. Omar Bradly insisted that if they were not dropped there then there should be no Utah beach.
Rah, dunno if you will see this, but while I was at Bragg a buddy I went to church with was at Pope. His dad had been in the 82nd and jumped on D-Day.
From what I recollect, John’s dad didn’t talk about the war until John joined the Air Force. Then he told him things. He told John that one field was so full of the dead from the 82nd that it would have been possible to walk across it……and never touch the ground.
I don’t know if that was John’s dad’s perception during the heat of the moment or if it was accurate. I am telling it as John told it to me.
You would likely know more of the history than me, but the casualty rate had to have been horrendous.
It was horrendous but not as bad as many feared. Now allow me put some historical perspective on that. At the battlefield at Gettysburg there is a field, it is called the Wheat Field. In about 3 hours that 19 acre field changed hands 6 times! In that time more Americans died on that field than died on D-day. Several contemporary accounts stated that one could walk from one side of the field to the other from any direction on the bodies.
Just a note. The pictures of the dead shown at the beginning of this video are not on the Wheat Field. They are on the Rose Farm property south of the Wheat Field and South East of the Peach Orchard.
After the battle the Northern troops started working to bury the dead from the north end of the battlefield and working south. No photographers arrived until after the dead on the Wheat Field had been buried.
Sacred ground🙏🏻
Good morning Treepers
Oklahoma, where the wind goes sweeping down the plains. And the waving wheat,it sure smells sweet, when the the wind comes right before the rain.

Only east/west range on the continent, stretches across the bottom of the state sporadically over to Turner Falls. The Medicine Park area Mt.Scott, remind me of the Jucumba Mts. In San Diego County.Cool water/dam infrastructure tucked within alot of the rocky peaks.
The Uintas in NE Utah run east-west, too, I believe.
Congress should tell the FBI that they cannot guarantee the funding of their institution after all their malfeasance of the last decade surfaces.
D-day landing. June 6, 1944.
We owe these guys everything. And then some.

This is wonderful, Patience. Thanks so much for posting. In this period Judy was doing some of her most heartfelt music. That she “got it” always showed in her performances. 🙂
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” (Romans 12:12)
Let us rejoice and hold fast to positivity through the trials and tribulations of this world. Give thanks and stay positive, knowing that God will protect and deliver us from evil and despair as we are faithful to Him. Sing songs of praise and glory to God!
And good morning to you, Joe and friend💕
Good morning, Bet. Up and having that wonderful cup of coffee. Looks like it’s going to be a warm one today.
Lawn mowing on the schedule after coffee. Then more housekeeping chores lined up. The big girls need to be walked outside for some exercise. Always something to do; I’m never bored.
When visiting my wife last night, I talked her ear off. She stayed awake through the whole monologue. I know she hears me….
I wish the aides would remember to put the fall pad down by her bed when they lay her down for the night. I’ve reminded them more than once. Common sense; better safe than sorry. If I have to speak to the DON, I will.
75 degrees F and sunny outside. Probably getting warm in your area as well. Have a blessed day.
Mornin’ Joe,
The falling pads seem to be the bane of the staffs’ existence. We could never understand why it was never in place, but tucked-up against the wall or elsewhere, out of the way. We figured that it makes it difficult for the CNA’s, nurses to get close to the bed and would have to move it out of the way then replace when done – a matter of hygiene, too much work? Tripping hazard? I don’t know but no matter how many times we asked for it’s use it was to no avail. Today is year 3 that my mom passed. God Bless Patricia!
A poignant day, parichute. I know you miss her. Requiescat in pace 🙏🏻💕
I am so glad Kerry was awake for your visit. And I am relieved that at least she has had no more falls. I can well understand your frustration with the fall pad. One would think that would be the last thing they’d do before leaving her room for the night every night. Sounds as if that conversation with the DON needs to happen.
It’s going to be a warm one here as well. Eighty two…so far…ceiling fans whirling. Vacuumed early to get that out of the way before it gets hotter, as I set the A/C on 85. As summer cranks on I’ll try to set it higher degree by degree.
Laundry day as well…that’s how I know it’s Tuesday😁
Chris forgot to take his shirt studs out and assuming he did, I didn’t check. Normally wouldn’t matter but these were very special ones given to him years ago by our grands when they were little…metal with “Grandad” engraved into them.
And like the socks of which one always goes missing to who knows where, so has one of the studs…I’ve sent a prayer to St Anthony in hopes that by some miracle its mate will show up…sentimental value. He feels worse about it than I do I think… :(((((((
?w=1024&dpr=1&q=75
Good afternoon, Bet.
Lawns are mowed. Think I’m going to take a beer break before starting on the indoor house cleaning chores.
Priorities, priorities……I have a couple of comfy lawn chairs that I can park in while admiring my lawn care handiwork. I don’t let the laundry pile up too much; it can though, if I don’t stay on top of it.
Ok. Dogs and cats are fed, water in their bowls. I still need to take the big girls out for a stroll.
So far so good. We are walkin’ in tall cotton.
Nor do I let it pile up😉. Twice a week. But I sent the above to my daughter with three teens. I got a couple of big fat 👍🏻👍🏻!
Enjoy that well deserved beer…and the splendid view😉💕

WORK OUT WHAT GOD WORKS IN
“Work out your own salvation.” Phil. ii. 12-13
Your will agrees with God, but in your flesh there is a disposition which renders you powerless to do what you know you ought to do. When the Lord is presented to the conscience, the first thing conscience does is to rouse the will, and the will always agrees with God. You say – “But I do not know whether my will is in agreement with God.” Look to Jesus and you will find that your will and your conscience are in agreement with Him every time. The thing in you which makes you say “I shan’t” is something less profound than your will; it is perversity, or obstinacy, and they are never in agreement with God. The profound thing in man is his will, not sin. Will is the essential element in God’s creation of man: sin is a perverse disposition which entered into man. In a regenerated man the source of will is almighty. “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” You have to work out with concentration and care what God works in; not WORK your own salvation, but WORK IT OUT, while you base resolutely in unshaken faith on the complete and perfect Redemption of the Lord. As you do this, you do not bring an opposed will to God’s will, God’s will is your will, and your natural choices are along the line of God’s will, and the life is as natural as breathing. God is the source of your will, therefore you are able to work out His will. Obstinacy is an unintelligent ‘wadge’ that refuses to be enlightened; the only thing is for it to be blown up with dynamite, and the dynamite is obedience to the Holy Spirit.
Do I believe that Almighty God is the source of my will? God not only expects me to do His will, but He is in me to do it.

Maybe I can get an hour or two of real sleep now, Treehousers. Have a Blessed day. Good thing about me tossing and turning all night is the dog and Mama Katts didn’t sleep well either so they will be happy I tried to go back to bed. Even though the sun has already hit my skin I am so bushwhacked it might not matter. Lord willing I can get up in a few hours and get more done than I did yesterday.

Do not be anxious about anything. – Philippians 4:6
If you were to take flying lessons, you would discover that you cannot rely on air traffic control to make your take-offs and landings. You have to learn the instruments in your cockpit, and what their readings mean. If you encounter a cloud bank that you must fly through, you lean heavily on those instruments.
You might first check the one, called attitude, which shows you where you are in relation to the horizon, since getting disoriented happens easily. From there, you need to know your altitude, how far above the ground you are, airspeed, turn coordinators, compass, headlong indicator, and vertical speed indicator.
There is much to know, and reliance on fully functioning and honest readings is critical. Pilots tend to become anxious when their instruments fail!
God has given you a full “cockpit” of guides in the Bible that are instructional for living. They are time-tested and true and, when you follow them, you will arrive at your destination, leaving all anxiety “grounded.” The precepts and principles of the Lord never fail.
For some, the move from self-reliance to reliance upon God and His provision may be an anxiety-filled change. He has given you His Word as your instruction manual, pastors, teachers, and spiritually mature friends to help guide you, and the Holy Spirit in your personal “control tower.”
Some have said they have Jesus as a co-pilot: Better to let Him be your pilot and you occupy the second seat! Give your anxieties to Him today.
Intercede for judges and justices to rely on truths found in God’s Word in addition to their legal volumes, for the sake of righteousness.

Good morning, Poyeema.
The anxiety, nervousness, tension…. anger, -or fear
about ‘ things’ or situations
inevitably pass
and seem but a faint memory afterwards.
-Keeping conscious of God during those times; even during the simple daily potential stresses, makes a real difference.
-Have a lovely day.🌸
Good morning all!
The first Life and Death decisions made on the spot on D-day!
In my post yesterday I mentioned that the minesweepers cleared two paths through the minefields for each beach. The channels were for slow and fast traffic. Warships and transports were considerably faster than the landing craft, Rino Ferries, and many auxiliary craft and they used one channel. The used by the slower vessels, some, like the Rino Ferrys, essentially platforms on pontoons driven by outboard motors if they were not towed, making less than 5 knots.
Transiting in the slow channel were the LCTs (Landing Craft Tank), transporting the DD Tanks. It was Ensigns commanding these vessels and the Lieutenants Jr. Grade, commanding the flotillas of those vessels upon which would fall the heavy responsibility for making the first on the spot life or death decisions of D-Day. Because of the nature of the shore and tides the assaults on the British and Canadian beaches would take place about an hour later than those on the American beaches. And so these first life or death decisions were made off Omaha and Utah beaches when it was still mostly dark.
From the start of the detailed planning for the invasion a major problem the planners faced was how to get armored support ashore with the first wave of infantry and the engineering teams tasked with clearing lanes through the many beach obstacles.
The 300 ft long LSTs (Landing Ship Tank) were in too short of supply to risk until German artillery that could place direct fire upon them had been eliminated. So ti would was decided that some of the first tanks, including some with bulldozer blades to be used to push beach obstacles out of the way, would be delivered directly to the shore by LCTs. The craft that would take these first tanks onto the beaches would be the LCT(A) armored version of the LCT of which there were a limited number. It was decided others would be DD Tanks launched at sea to swim into shore.
The DD stands for “Dual Drive”. They were M-4 Sherman tanks having propellers to drive them through the water and an inflated skirt called a “floatation screen, and a bilge pump to keep them afloat as they motored towards the shore. Once ashore the floatation screen supported by inflated tubes integrated in it and stiffened by metals hooks could be dropped quickly and the drive set to run the tracks instead of the propellers.
When in the water in the best conditions these tanks had about 3 ft. of freeboard. But optimum conditions are virtually never present in combat and it is estimated that the tanks only had about 9” of freeboard. On D-day in the open channel the swells were running at 4 ft or more.
Because the DD tanks were slower than the landing craft they would have to inflate their floatation screens and drive off the ramp of the LCT into the water at 03:00 off Omaha and Utah beaches to be able to motor in at their top speed of between 2 and 3 knots to arrive at the beach on time to support the initial assault wave of infantry.
And that was when the moment of truth arrived for the young naval officers. As per orders, the commander of the vessel was upon who the decision to launch or not to launch fell though some consulted with the highest ranking tank commander on their vessels before making their decision. The orders were that “if the state of the sea is such as to prevent their being launched……….land then with the first wave.” The responsibility for judging the state of the sea fell to the commanding officers of the LCT flotillas.
Off Omaha beach Navy Lieutenant Dean Rockwell was the flotilla commander. He commanded 16 LCTs each loaded with 4 of the DD tanks. He, after consulting with the Sr. Army officer onboard decided “it would be insane” to launch the DDs in the current sea state and so they must carry their tanks to the shore. But he could only communicate with half of his command! Signal flags were worthless in the predawn hours and signal lights and radio communications were forbidden. But he disobeyed orders and tried to communicate with the half of his command that had not got the word via the radio in one of the tanks. His attempt was in vain.
On one of the 8 LCTs that did not get the word, a near miss from a German shell jostled the tanks and the skirt of the lead tank was torn. So that one had to deliver to the beach. But the other seven did launch at sea and of the 29 tanks launched at sea off Omaha that morning only 2 made it ashore. All the rest went to the bottom carrying most of their crews with them.
At all the other beaches the results were better though there were still some losses to the sea. At Utah beach Navy Lieutenant (J.g.) John Richer made the unilateral decision to move the launch point from 6,000 yards out at sea to 3,000 yards and that brought the tanks under the protection of Cape Barfleur where the seas were calmer. One LCT was sunk by a direct hit from German artillery and sank before launching. 27 of the remaining 28 DDs made it ashore.
At Sword Beach the LCTs closed to within 1,500 yards before launching and of the 34 launched successfully 31 made it ashore. At Gold Beach where they brought their LCTS in to 1/2 mile from the shore which was even closer than at Sword, 8 tanks failed to make it ashore. At the Canadian Beach, Juno, the most heavily contested beach after Omaha, many of the tanks could not be launched and of the 29 launched, 21 made it ashore. Despite this the Canadians would penetrate further from the beach than their American and British allies.
Excellent and accurate reading – – as usual!
Keep it up.
I didn’t realize some of the tragic operations that occurred that day until much later in my life … looking back I just thought who came up with this crazy idea 🤔👎.. I think the number who never made it to shore is around 20,000..
🇺🇸💪😀👍
Later in the war DD tanks were used again during Monty’s Operation Plunder, the great set piece crossing of the Rhine and they worked quite well in the calmer waters of the river.
Operative word.. calmer..😀👍
🇺🇸💪😀👍
Thank you for typing all of that up and posting it!
Your welcome. Always will do when I have the time. This is stuff I have studied almost my whole life.
Verse of the Day for Tuesday, June 6, 2023
✟
“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
Romans 6:14 (KJV)
Thank You. Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!
BE MY VOICE
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
Good morning, dear friend. All the above, yes…but the last?
Life happens fast and unexpectedly. Today is all we are promised when we awaken, and sometimes not even the full measure of it.
A thousand Amens for the wise counsel…💕🙏🏻🌻

After a prolonged naval and aerial bombardment of German defenses on the Channel coast of France and the Low Countries, the Allied invasion of Normandy began in the early morning hours of June 6, 1944. Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower issued this statement as his order of the day:
Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force:
You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months.
The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.
In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped, and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.
But this is the year 1944. Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940–41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats, in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned. The free men of the world are marching together to victory.
I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty, and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory.
Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.

Mornin’ all!
Wee Weed, you’re like a bad hang-over that comes around when you’re just waking up, but yet, the nasty part of you always shows up to talk, and has a six-pack in their hand saying, “This is for you !!!”.
Part of me wants to smack you, the other part wants to hug you and say “Thank you for being you !!”.
Call it love/hate, call it whatever. As long as you reply every morning, life is in reality.
Say it: June 6, 1944. Anyone?
Oh, yeah, they saved the world!!!
Ask the younger generation the significance of this day, Gunner…We remember what I doubt they know. 🙏🏻
Indeed my friend…also I believe 55 years ago that Bobby Kennedy died?Lurking, but still around… Casco 🙂
Oh how joyous to see you early, Casco!!! I knew you were still here because of your “Amen” offered on the final prayer of the day, my friend. I do look for you there…🤗
And yes, the anniversary of his assassination. Remember it well…have to wonder now that we know of CIA involvement with JFK (and in my view, possibly JFK, Jr), I wonder about RFK…
I pray you are well. Being head canary I know is burdensome. Your time is not yours. Hope your four legged furry felines are still behaving themselves😎. Blessed be your day, dear friend. Missing you💕
CIA….I wonder also.
In between jobs…stopped home for a bite to eat and checked in.Saw that nobody had posted about RFK,in addition to D-day.
Gotta grab a 32′ ladder and head back out.I’m GONNA NEED every bit of it too!
The kitties are just fine, and thank you for asking! The mines beckon,so off I go.
Stay well sister, and blessings for you and yours.Pax Vobis! Casco 🙂
Stay safe…and stay on that ladder!!!!!!😎😘
Hi Bet,
Just wanted to say hi. Reminds me of a two-story Hobbit house. It’s so enchanting it almost looks like it is not real
Go with God
I COULD LIVE THERE!!!😍
As long as I could evict the NZ WEF appointed overlords…
It’s lovely, dear friend. I think I’ll just sit here for a while with my afternoon coffee and contemplate the idyllic peace. Thank you for this!💕🌻 And may He go with you always…
Headline at LEGAL INSURRECTION:
“NYC Mayor Adams Wants to Pay Residents to House Illegal Immigrants”
Prediction:
Look for the Democrats to start talking about the Third Amendment.
That is where the idea of mandatory residential housing, for illegal aliens, will spring from.
Quartering by another name anybody??
Exactly.
Patriot, Veteran, & Author Mathew Bracken has been warning about this. I wonder what the reaction will be from the Liberal Not In My Backyard mentally ill Democrat voters when or if this hits them personally? Is that when our lost relatives, neighbors, friends, work associates are going to come to us for help/knowledge?
Immigration was first and Free Trade was second of why I was attracted to Pat Buchanan’s campaigns. PDJT is in many ways Buchanan. If only we had listened to the patriots warning us over the years.
Matthew comments on these pages occasionally, Colkitto, as I’m sure you’ve noticed…A Friend of the Tree👍🏻
My dad was one who rode in one of the Flying Coffins on D-Day, landing behind the lines.

Here I be!!!!!
Today is 6 June the Seventy-Ninth Anniversary of the invasion of Normandy france. I do not care about units named Elon Musk, Mike Pence et al ad infinitum now joined by yet another heretofore stealth Fraud and Sellout named Marjorie Taylor – Greene. Keep in mind all these aerobic units have to pass by Arlington National Cemetery (“male privilege” on full display) several times a day or week or a month as they act to maintain their chairs in Mordor on the Potomac. Despite this, and thus far at least, not one mention of the significance of today’s date let alone the attached as supreme sacrifice.
I do so highly value Sundance’s work which in a healthy country would have already been pervasively recognized with multiple awards for his standard of investigative journalism, but now the focus must be on what’s to come IF men in this feminized and dangerously ill-informed republic are at this point capable in preparation and execution. SACRIFICE. I think what we’ve witnessed let alone proven since 2015, and before, will at some point be referred to as “the good old days.” I believe the very worst is yet to come. The Clock is ticking man.
Hello benson,
“I believe the very worst is yet to come. The Clock is ticking man.”
Yes, me and my household have prepared for the worst. It is better to be prepared and nothing happen, than to be one with their head in the sand when/if something does happen. The clock IS ticking…both Satan’s clock and God’s clock. We do have faith that our Father WILL provide for those that maintained their lamps with Oil! Until then, only God knows when He will step in to crush the enemy…which He will, in His time. Thanks for this post!

The Miracle of Honey:
Awesome information, D💕!!!
Just downed a whole bottle😎😉
🐝Bees….little necessary powerhouses of life 🐝
What do you know about this ?
Plenty, Gabriel!! Health food pure and simple. Especially in our area of Texas, where honey produced here is efficacious in treating allergies. At leas we have found it to be(e) so😉
Also…
There is evidence being collected now that the 5G towers are decimating bee 🐝 colonies and hives. Very very worrying. Same sort of destruction being documented with the whales and offshore monstrous, ineffective, hideous bird killing windfarms. Leave it to those who process they “care” about the environment to destroy what they do not understand. Environment as opposed to ecosystem.
Daughter is taking off right about now for Indonesia.
I wasn’t sure and forgot to ask which carrier she was flying on. So as she is flying directly from DFW to Tokyo, it wasn’t hard to find two departing at the same time…American Airlines and JAL.
Last night, as hideous luck would have it, I ran across an article about major trouble AA is having with their pilots’ health. Lowered EKG standards because so many have been adversely affected by the mandated covid injection, and other worriesome info.
So I was VASTLY relieved to learn she is booked on JAL, at least to Tokyo…major PHEW!!!
Good to see you, my friend😊.
I saw yesterday’s thread Molon’s beautiful German Shepherd “Bruce” (Great name thinking of the Bruce Kings of Scotland).
Here is a movie that has been free on Prime that I have promoted on here a while ago. It is much more than just a man & his beloved Dog. Highly recommended
Thank you Colkitto! 🤗💝
thx, kitto
I’ll look for that
I really do not see these Sparrows much in my yard, but I do usually encounter them at Chic-Fil-A’s, a Post Office I pass on the way to work singing on the wire or bushes while I am stopped at a light, or other businesses that have the appropriate shrubs. I think this is a behavior change due to Cowbird predation. A gorgeous song.

Quite the repertoire, wouldn’t you say?😍
Got a coffee on the go as it happens. Blueberry muffins to be made this afternoon as tomorrow we have a couple of men coming to fix a few things. Anyone who comes to fix or work or mow or anything else gets “fed and watered”, something we always did when we lived in Wales…
Colkitto!!!! I do pray you saw the lovely St Francis statue above with the beautiful little bluebird which Nimrodman posted at the top of this page.
I thought of you immediately💕
I was betting that was St Francis, Betsy
one of my childhood churches was St Francis of Assisi
… and I just noticed there’s a little stone bird mostly hidden behind the bluebird
so the statue was a complete composition even before the bluebird landed
