A critical analysis of the photos of the damage to the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City indicates that the explosives were in place inside the building…
Supposedly, McVeigh’s truck bomb blew up while parked in front of the building which would have blown the wreckage back toward the interior of the building.
But, the photos show that the wreckage was blown out towards the street, indicating that the explosives were placed inside the building… (look for yourselves, there are many pics still posted on the internet)

There are several accurate assessments available on the internet.
Perhaps if you would learn to research for yourself, you could go to a search engine, type in: “Murrow Federal Building, Oklahoma City”, and they will magically pop up before your very eyes…
In any case, it doesn’t take an “expert” to look at the photos and see that the wreckage of the building was blown outwards toward the street…
And, although I don’t consider myself an expert, As a contractor for 34 years that specialized in safely and efficiently removing buildings and/or other structures with the use of explosive devices, I am certainly entitled to my opinion.

One of my History professors over 5 decades ago was commenting on the illogicality of Marxism and how it fails to explain various historical eras, e.g. ancient Egypt or most of the Middle Ages.
By failing to explain why societies would expend so much energy and money on non-productive activities e.g. building the pyramids or cathedrals, monasteries and cloisters or religious monuments *, Marxism’s philosophy of human beings as economic creatures only, shows a huge weakness, namely, its failure to understand human psychology.
Humans can be economically irrational for various reasons.
Keeping that in mind, let us bring back Adam Smith, he of the rationality of markets, and ask him what he thinks of companies, whose leaders deliberately sabotage their profits to be part of a political agenda.
He would shake his head and say that such leaders are irrational.
Religious people in earlier eras spent incredible amounts of wealth – and incredible amounts of time – on projects which by definition would never profit them economically.
Modern Marxists have met my professor’s objections to their philosophy, that it fails to explain religious activities, by trying to replace Religion with a Marxist Agenda.
It has not been sufficiently appreciated that Capitalism in Adam Smith’s sense is being replaced by what I will call Religious Marxism.
In the same way that people spent centuries in – and donated great wealth for – building a cathedral or a religious monument, because they believed in honoring their religion of Christianity, today we have heads of corporations sacrificing profits and expending great effort on non-economic activities injurious to their own wealth, because they believe in pushing the Marxist agenda of control and serfdom.
One difference exists: those involved in religious building hoped for a reward in the After-Life.

On the issue of why the catherdrals were built, I strongly urde you to read “Pillars of the Earth” by Ken Follet.
While technically fiction, like Herman Wouks “Winds of war” and sequal “War and Rememberance” the authors use the vehicle of fiction to make history live, to take the reader right there, and as the story explores the construction of these massive structures it explores not only the engineering challenges, but the motivations as well.
I am confident you will enjoy Pillars, and your view of the motivations will be challenged and informed.

It was a group who wanted to get him to run for President – so they were fundraising to get him to run. It happens ALL THE TIME. There is the Never Back Down PAC, by Cuccinelli, that did the same for DeSantis, the Ed Rollins PAC that did the same thing for both President Trump and DeSantis.
The candidates have no choice in the matter, other than to send cease and desist and demand they stop. This PAC to draft Tucker complied with the demand.

If he is not on the ballot, I’m writing in his name.
I’ll vote for anyone he endorses (that is in my “jurisdiction” ofc) and will probably NOT vote for anyone else (leaving open possible exceptions for down-ballot local races where he doesn’t normally make an endorsement).
I am simply NOT going to vote for the RINO / UniParty candidates -I don’t care if they are the only ones on the ticket.
I also do not care if others feel that my “strategy”, above, is “good” or not – that’s what I am doing. It’s what I’ve been planning to do for some time now.

I really despise political opportunists. Killary was one.
Earlier in this month, I had a conversation with a lady who had been a long-time member of the GOP Establishment and who had realized in 2016 that MAGA was the only way the Republicans could ever establish themselves as the majority party in America.
She is firmly convinced, as am I, that President Trump will be indicted and convicted on a number of fake charges before the spring of 2024 is out. And that sooner or later, he will find himself in a prison cell. And that the RNC will not allow his nomination for the 2024 ticket arguing that a convicted felon cannot become the standard bearer for the Republican Party.
The only question is the timing for each trial and each subsequent conviction in relation to the 2024 primary season.
Will these trials and convictions happen before, during, and/or after the primary season? (Or what is likely, all of the above.) In addition, what will the Democrat’s and the GOP Establishment’s narratives look like for the whole sorry process as it proceeds forward?
At any rate, regardless of what happens in the next eighteen months, all MAGA Republicans must stand firm with President Trump, even if it means working a write-in campaign for him in the fall of 2024.

That’s a reasonable assumption. If the upcoming indictments, trials, and convictions are successful in keeping Trump off the ballot, how states will alter the rules for write-ins will be another major facet of the 2024 MAGA voter suppression cycle.
There are a few options to get President Trump back on the ballot should the RNC remove him.
1) Create a new party. Start now. Would not have to name the party’s nominee until much nearer the general electionss.
No involvement of President Trump, no association of his name. It would be the hardest to get implemented in time, but the surest Plan B. A much more involved process than the other two options. And requires FEC approval. Mid to late summer 2024 announce that the new party has nominated President Trump.
2) Independent run. There are state sore loser laws that prevent a candidate of a political party who runs and loses from moving over to run as an independent. However, I don’t think this would apply if the RNC dictated his removal from the GOP ticket (not the voters). If the RNC were to try to do this, seems there are two windows of opportunity. –Prior to the primaries –don’t know what the deadline would be to give enough time for the states to remove his name from ballots —Or at the GOP Convention.
3) Write In. Some states require registration with the state.
It makes more sense to usurp an already existing party, such as the Constitution Party, which would then be aptly named and provide instant access to the ballot in a number of states. Surely this would beat starting from scratch in the little time available.
Any and all counter-strategies must be considered. What you’ve described should be put on the list of possible candidates for a countering approach.
He could drag out any case well till after election. By then it’s too late . Innocent till guilty he could not be stopped from running or being elected.

I don’t believe either convictions or incarcerations are the goal, as they don’t give them anything of benefit to them that indictments don’t, and particularly incarceratuon comes with significant downsides.
There whole goal (I believe) is simply to give the RNC an EXCUSE to deny PDJT the nomination, in case they are not able to exert enough influence over the primary process to deny him the nomination.
Incarceration is not necesary, no additional benefit.
And, convictions will be appealed and ultimately overturned; the longer they keep the case in limbo, the better for them.
I think those who express confidence PDJT will be incarcerated are allowing strong emotions to overcome critical thinking and logic.
THEY also have a major problem that has plaugued them since 2016.
In addition to push polls, thete,are internal polls that are quite different: they strive for accuracy, so they can use the results to plan tactics and strategy, and MAGA DON’T DO POLLS.
Hence, what they would really like to know is “what will cause you to vote for RDS (or someone other than Trump)?
And, they aren’t hearing our answer of “NOTHING”.
What they are hearing is the responces of those who are NOT MAGA.
And shaping their strategies and tactics accordingly.

Prof John Mershiemer discusses the Ukrainian Conflict. In the video he points out that Russia already controls 23% of Ukraine and will ultimately control 46% including Odessa which are mostly Russian populated oblasts. Russia is not interested in the Ukrainian populated regions. Ukraine will be a landlocked rump state thanks to the United States and NATO!
Mearsheimer made two major points:
Ukraine can not win this war because the kill ratio in this war is in its disfavor. Mearheimer estimates that two Ukrainians die for one Russian soldier but says that many of his friends think that the ratio is more like 3:1 or 4:1. The reason for this is the WWI-style static war in which artillery is the most deadly weapon. Russia has an immense artillery advantage. During an offensive the attacker will often have more casualties than the defender. But in this war the Ukraine side has been (counter-)attacked most of the time while the Russians defended.
The Ukraine also has a much smaller population than Russia. The current ratio is about 5 Russians for 1 Ukrainian. With a much smaller population and much higher casualties the Ukraine will run out of able bodies way before Russia does.
Mearsheimer expects that Russia, which already has incorporated four Ukrainian oblast plus Crimea, will take another four oblast from Ukraine. (I predicted this on February 24 2022, the day the war began. Those eight oblast plus Crimea are historically Russian land inhabited by Russian people. During the last thirty years they have consistently voted for pro-Russian candidates while the people in west Ukraine consistently opted for anti-Russian candidates.) Ukraine will end up as a dysfunctional (and poor) rump state.
Mearsheimer says that there will be no peace agreement in Ukraine. The war is seen by both sides as existential. Ukraine insists of regaining territory it sees as part of the country. Ukraine wants security guarantees from the ‘west’ which Russia opposes. The problem of hyper-nationalism (fascism) on the Ukrainian side also makes peace impossible. Then there is the problem that Russia, after having been lied to over the Minsk agreements, has zero trust in any ‘western’ word.

He has already proclaimed that PDJT can run for office from prison, and win.

Lawfare, as used against PDJT consists of very noilsily and with much fanfare and a complicit msm, announcing an INDICTMENT or INVESTIGATION of PDJT, for the initial headline, followed by regular lies as leaks, about the investigation, all to ‘try’ the case, and ‘convict’ PDJT in “the Court of public opinion” use REPETITION to drive the effect in, and quietly note PDJT’s eventual exhonetation after most have “moved on”.
Witness there are STILL people who insist PDJT is a russian agent.
The MAL raid and Bragg indictments show the Trump counter; basically having the TRUTH, shoes laced up and in the starting blocks, and ready to run quickly.
The MAL raid was actually first announced BY PDJT and he had his team of spokepersons, Christina Bobb and Mike Davis out FAST, argueing his case “in the Court of Public Opinion”.
In the case of Braggs, he had a genuine i.e. truthful “leak” before Braggs was ready, hence the Truth Trump Team was dispatched a week BEFORE Bragg could announce his indictments, they argued PDJT’s case “in the Court of Public Opinion” and the indictment announcement was anti-climactic and fell flat.
There hoped for visual of PDJT’s arraignment also was flipped, and didn’t produce the desired effect.
These are ALL Defensive actions, and acts of desperation like a “hail mary pass” and are consistently “forced errors” and “sacrifice plays” and any who insist “all is lost” have either succumbedto propoganda, or are promulgating it or, unfortunately may be both.
Every foul (il)legal affront on /against Trump only increases his support. Anyone with a moral compass knows the Doj and fbi and cia and irs and its etc etc are evil. Once you lose your reputation or good name, you can’t reclaim or regain it.

Next time someone gives you some unnecessarily complicated explanation as to why the US Navy has severe recruiting problems, just stop them short and show them the picture of the WILLIAMS and ask them, “Would you want to serve in this Navy? Would you want your friends, family, or potential mate see you waving from this deck?”

I’ve just got to ask: “if all of that high-tech equipment in all of those ‘domes’ was blasted off the deck by a single incoming missile or artillery round – where would the crew actually go to “be ‘on deck?'”
Doing a quick search on this ship tells me that for USS James E. Williams (DDG 95) the keel was laid 15 July 2002. The ship was was launched 23 June 2003, then commissioned 11 December 2004.
Looks to me that the ship is due for a refit and/or overhaul anyways. Regardless, rust is a terrible look for such a warship.
More thoughts to add;
Looks like more of a maintenance issue specifically as the US Navy contracts out a lot of that work to the shipbuilders as part of the lifecycle support for the hulls they built.
Thinking this is evidence of a backlog of deferred maintenance and the like. Shifting Federal budget* priorities, shipbuilder workforce issues, who knows?
Used to be that sailors were kept busy painting and other protection from the salt water.
How do successive Captains and XOs get away with such gross neglect and still stay in the service? Blame under staffing?

I just know that some of that work has to be done in a drydock to do the job properly.
That epoxy based paint I’ve heard they use on the hull is some nasty stuff to work with. Requires respirators and plenty of ventilation inside of confined spaces. Just don’t spill any of into a storm drain or the like or you’ll have the EPA on you pretty quick.

I saw that years ago in Port Everglades. A British Frigate and an American Destroyer docked side-by-side. The British ship looked beautiful, impressive and very well taken care of. The American ship looked rusted and neglected.
